  • Patent number: 8069840
Abstract: The invention relates to an injector for injecting fuel into combustion chambers of internal combustion engines, in particular a common rail injector. The injector has a high-pressure region and a valve element which is axially adjustable between a closed position and an open position in which the flow of fuel is enabled. According to the invention, it is provided that the valve element includes a first partial element and at least one separate second partial element, which partial elements are hydraulically coupled to one another by a coupler chamber. The coupler chamber is hydraulically connected only in one axial direction to the high-pressure region of the injector.

  • Patent number: 8072043
Abstract: A semiconductor component and a method for manufacturing such a semiconductor component which has a resistance behavior which depends heavily on the temperature. This resistance behavior is obtained by a special multi-layer structure of the semiconductor component, one layer being designed in such a way that, for example, multiple p-doped regions are present in an n-doped region, said regions being short-circuited on one side via a metal-plated layer. For example, the semiconductor component may be used for reducing current peaks, by being integrated into a conductor. In the cold state, the semiconductor component has a high resistance which becomes significantly lower when the semiconductor component is heated as a result of the flowing current.

  • Patent number: 8069842
Abstract: An injector mounting arrangement includes a tolerance ring assembly that provides damping or absorption capabilities in addition to alignment and centering functionality. The tolerance ring assembly is designed to absorb axial excitation energy from the injector by converting it into strain energy through the radial deformation of the tolerance ring. The strain energy is absorbed in the form of bending stress within the tolerance ring more effectively than by simply absorbing the axial forces in compression alone. As a result, vibration and noise is reduced and/or isolated.

  • Patent number: 8069662
Abstract: An electric power booster (12) where driver command is monitored by a transducer (38) on an input rod (34). This signal is converted to the appropriate voltage/current and operates an electric motor (42). The motor output shaft (68) is connected to a planetary gear reducer (72) appropriately sized to provide no more than +/?1/4 turn of an eccentric cam (14). Two master cylinders (16, 18) power piston rods (22, 24) ride diametrically opposed on the cam surface (20). As the cam rotates the piston rods are forced out pressurizing the respective hydraulic circuits and thereby providing fluid to each brake circuit (28, 30). In the event of power failure as well as to augment the output of the motor, the input rod is mechanically linked directly to the cam offset from the center allowing the driver to manually rotate the cam thereby pressurizing the brake circuits.

  • Publication number: 20110291301
Abstract: A method for producing semiconductor components and a component obtainable by such a method is disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: fixing a conductive film on a carrier; adhesively bonding semiconductor chips onto the conductive film using an adhesive layer, wherein active surfaces of the semiconductor chips, the active surfaces having connection contacts, are situated on that side of the chips which faces the film; overmolding the chips adhesively bonded onto the conductive film with a molding compound; and releasing the conductive film with the overmolded chips from the carrier. In this case, the adhesive layer is structured in such a way that at least connection contacts of the semiconductor chips are free of the adhesive layer and are kept free of the molding compound.
