  • Patent number: 11532237
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for design of a suite of multispectral (MS) sensors and processing of enhanced data streams produced by the sensors for autonomous aircraft flight. The onboard suite of MS sensors is specifically configured to sense and use a MS variety of sensor-tuned objects, either strategically placed objects and/or surveyed and sensor significant existing objects to determine a position and verify position accuracy. The received MS sensor data enables an autonomous aircraft object identification and positioning system to correlate MS sensor data output with a-priori information stored onboard to determine and verify position and trajectory of the autonomous aircraft. Once position and trajectory are known, the object identification and positioning system commands the autonomous aircraft flight management system and autopilot control of the autonomous aircraft.

  • Patent number: 11528775
Abstract: A system and method for dynamic mesh network discovery is disclosed. In embodiments, the system assigns each network asset (e.g., unmanned or manned aircraft or like mobile nodes) a unique asset number. Each asset has a controller coupled to a datalink including antenna elements and a memory for storing an asset table. Each asset periodically broadcasts an asset status message including the asset number. When a status message is received, the receiving asset compares the received asset number to its own asset number. If the received asset number is higher (e.g., of lower priority) than its own asset number, the receiving asset establishes a bidirectional mesh network connection to the broadcasting asset. Assets on the receiving end of a network connection interrogate the establishing asset for its asset number, such that assets on both sides of the connection know the identity of the other and update their asset tables accordingly.

  • Patent number: 11520056
Abstract: Systems and methods of heading determination with global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal measurements are provided herein. A pair of antennas may be separated by a known baseline length and mounted on a vehicle. A GNSS receiver may obtain pseudorange and carrier phase measurements for GNSS satellites within view. An LRU may estimate carrier phase ambiguities and a two-dimensional vector, using the known baseline length and a linearized measurement model. The LRU may determine integer ambiguities using the estimated carrier phase ambiguities. The LRU may determine assumed wrong fixes of the integer ambiguities and a probability of almost fixed value. The LRU may store the set of integer ambiguities. The LRU may determine, from accumulated data over measurement epochs, updated integer ambiguities. The LRU may correct the carrier phase measurements using the updated integer ambiguities. The LRU may compute the heading using the corrected carrier phase measurements.

  • Patent number: 11520705
Abstract: A multicore processing environment (MCPE) is disclosed. In embodiments, the MCPE includes multiple processing cores hosting multiple user applications configured for simultaneous execution. The cores and user applications share system resources including main memory and input/output (I/O) domains, each I/O domain including multiple I/O devices capable of requesting inbound access to main memory through an I/O memory management unit (IOMMU). For example, the IOMMU cache associates unique cache tags to each I/O device based on device identifiers or settings determined by the system registers, caching the configuration data for each I/O device under the appropriate cache tag. When each I/O device requests main memory access, the IOMMU cache refers to the appropriate configuration data under the corresponding unique cache tag. This prevents contention in the IOMMU cache caused by one device evicting the cache entry of another, minimizing interference channels by reducing the need for main memory access.

  • Patent number: 11515946
Abstract: A system and method for analog estimation of a spectral correlation function (SCF) provides a photonic carrier to generate a signal comb and offset comb, each comprising N comb tones separated by respective repetition rates ?F and ?F+?F. The signal and offset combs are amplitude-modulated according to an inbound RF signal of interest and filtered via periodic optical filters to produce a sequence of N Fourier components of the signal comb and N Fourier components of the offset comb, each filtered signal comb component overlapping with a filtered offset comb component. In-phase/quadrature (I/Q) components of the products of each component of the complex conjugate of the filtered offset comb and the overlapping counterpart of the filtered signal comb are generated in an optical receiver and digitized into slices of the SCF at a fixed time instance and center frequency, correlated at various cyclic separations ?.
