Abstract: An electric iron has a soleplate with a front tip and at least one passage for a liquid stored in a liquid tank system for wetting an article to be ironed. The passage is arranged in the area of the front tip symmetrically to a central line which starting from the front tip divides the soleplate in the middle. The liquid exits the passage in the form of liquid droplets generated by a piezoelectrically driven sprayer arranged above the soleplate. The electric iron is characterized in that the sprayer (12, 13, 14, 29) has at least one piezoelectrically driven thin membrane plate (12) with a plurality of spraying holes (24) associated with the respective passage (11) of the soleplate (6) and having a mean clear width from 30 to 100 .mu.m. The number of spraying holes (24) is selected to ensure that the amount of liquid dispensed through the soleplate (6) does not exceed about 8 g/minute. The passages (11) are maximum 10 mm wide, whatever their length.
Abstract: An electric toothbrush with a handle, a brush head and a shank which connects the handle to the brush head. A rotary motor is arranged in the handle and drives an unbalanced mass. The unbalanced mass driven by the motor is supported on one side or on both sides in the shank close to the brush head and is driven via an extended drive shaft, preferably an intermediate shaft, by the motor.

Abstract: A steam iron having a water tank, a sole-plate that defines a steam chamber, a drip valve that connects the water tank to the steam chamber, and an anti-drip device includes a water supply channel between the water tank and the drip valve, a valve tappet with a sealing cone, and a return spring. The anti-drip device is a one-piece molded part of elastic material formed as an elongated seal.
Abstract: A steam iron with an electrically heated sole-plate, which has numerous steam holes that open in ball-like depressions. The sole-plate has a recess, which is open on the ironing-surface side and is surrounded by the ironing surface. Further steam holes open on the bottom of the recess.
