Patents Assigned to Roxtec AB
  • Publication number: 20120013079
Abstract: A compressible seal/lead-through for cables, wires or pipes. The seal has two or more compressible base parts surrounding each cable, wire or pipe. Each compressible base part has peelable sheets for adapting to the diameter of a cable, wire or pipe. The sheets placed in the base parts have either different thicknesses or different rigidities.

  • Patent number: 7631880
Abstract: The present invention concerns a seal for a cable entry, pipe penetration or the like formed of two halves. The seal is to be received in a sleeve or the like and forms a central opening for a cable (7), pipe or the like when the seal halves are brought together. The outer diameter of the seal is variable to be adapted to different mounting dimensions. To adapt the outer diameter of the seal to the mounting dimension of the sleeve, a number of outer peeling sheets (5) are arranged on the outside of the seal. The sheets (5) adhere to each other but may be peeled off by hand.

  • Patent number: 7446267
Abstract: A transit device is disclosed for passing at least one elongate line sealingly through an opening in a wall. The device comprises a clamping frame and a number of blocks which together fill-out the frame. At least one of the blocks has a through-penetrating channel for receiving the line, wherein the block is adapted to permit lateral insertion of the line into the channel. The device also comprises a separate tubular bush made of elastic material. The bush has a generally axial through-penetrating slot in its wall, to enable the bush to be laterally fitted to the line, and has an outer cross-section which corresponds generally to the cross-section of the channel in the block. The bush comprises a plurality of radially separated layers which can be separated from each other so as to adapt the through-penetrating channel of the bush to the line.

  • Patent number: 6521840
Abstract: A cable transit device, or cable penetration device, includes a tubular sleeve (1) that has means (11) at one end for fastening the device to a wall opening, and that has at its other end a thread (14) which interacts with a thread (53) on a nut (5). The nut includes a support shoulder (52) and the device includes a rubber sleeve which is located in the tubular sleeve (1) and has an outer diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the tubular sleeve. The rubber sleeve is accommodated between the circular shoulder of the tubular sleeve and the support shoulder of the nut. The device also includes a plurality of module elements (4), each containing a cable accommodating channel (41) and each being divided to allow lateral access to the channel/channels. The modules (4) together fill-out the opening (31) of the rubber sleeve and have a shape that corresponds to the resultant outer contour of the mutually sealingly combined modules.

  • Patent number: 6262370
Abstract: A cable transit for protecting against the ingress of liquids and electromagnetic disturbances at a transit location in a wall, including a sleeve and a nut for fitting the transit tightly in the wall. The transit also includes a cable seal which comprises two semi-cylindrical bodies made of a compressible material and together fitting in the sleeve. The semi-cylindrical bodies have an adaptable center hole for accommodating a cable to be passed through the wall, and include several peelable layers. The semi-cylindrical bodies can be pressed together in tight abutment with the sleeve and with the cable, by means of the nut. The standard earthed cable sheet is earthed by means of a conductive screen. At least one peelable layer is removed along a part of the semi-cylindrical bodies, so that the semi-cylindrical bodies will present, at that part, a center hole whose diameter is greater than the diameter along the remaining part of the semi-cylindrical bodies.

  • Patent number: 6149164
Abstract: A sealing arrangement relating to cable and pipe lead-throughs that extend through a wall. The arrangement includes a frame and one or more modules made from a compressible material and including an axially-extending channel through which a cable or a pipe is adapted to pass in sealing abutment with respective module channels. The frame includes one or more modules that are mounted within and sealed relative to the frame, and also includes a first part and a second part, each provided with a respective opening, intended to be fitted on both sides of a wall in which an opening has been formed. A third frame part in the form of a body formed from a compressible material, such as rubber, and having an opening that has generally the same size as the openings in the respective first and second frame parts, is positioned between the first frame and second frame parts, wherein the third frame part accommodates the modules.

  • Patent number: 5938152
Abstract: A cable transit includes an outer frame (10), at least one module-based cable seal, and a final seal which fills-out the frame together with the cable seal. The final seal includes two compressible wedges (11, 12) which can be moved towards an away from each other by a screw (17), and two further compressible wedges (15, 16) which can also be moved towards and away from each other and which coact with the two first wedges. The four wedges are held together by a movable strap (19) which holds the wedges so that they can move relative to one another, wherein the wedges and the screw (17) together form a contained component which can be easily fitted into the frame. The outer side of the flexible strap (19) is provided with guide shoulders (191 to 194) approximately opposite the further wedges (15, 16) for guiding the component to a correct position in the frame. The strap and the wedges are molded in one piece, and one end (51) of the strap is glued to the other end (52) thereof.

  • Patent number: 5027571
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a plastic frame for leading lines through an opening in a structural part, such as a wall. The frame has a cavity defined by two C-shaped elements having inner flanges which are perpendicular to the plane of the frame, and outer flanges which are parallel to the plane of the frame. The leg portions of one of the C-shaped elements extend toward the leg portions of the other. A double T-shaped element can be situated between the C-shaped elements in order to form two cavities. The frame is useful for obtaining a water-tight and/or gas-tight seal when wires, tubes, etc. are led through a wall.
