  • Patent number: 7635128
Abstract: A sheet-holding-down member provided in a sheet feeding section of a printing press has a sheet-holding-down member that has a sheet-holding-down part that holds down from above an oncoming sheet to prevent a lateral edge of the sheet from being curled upward when the sheet abuts a lateral-edge abutment member. The sheet-holding-down member is pivotally movable about a roller support shaft so as to allow the sheet-holding-down part to be movable close to and away from an upper surface of a feeder board, on which the sheet is placed. An adjustment screw has a lower end that limits movement of the sheet-holding-down member so as to prevent the same from moving close to the upper surface of the feeder board as passing a predetermined height limit. • Publication number: 20090078141
Abstract: There is provided a method of performing transfer printing on sheets of papers capable of stopping a film from running while the film is kept apart from a cylinder and patterns of the film are not transferred onto the sheets, and of joining the film to the cylinder with the film and the cylinder matched in speed and phase at the resumption of running. While the cylinder is rotated at a specific speed, the film is on a first travel path and stopped from running. Before the film is moved from the first travel path to a second travel path to be joined to the cylinder, four steps are performed so that the running speed of the film is matched to the rotation speed of the cylinder, and the phase of marks provided on the film at equal intervals is matched to the phase of a gripper of the cylinder.

Abstract: There is provided a method of winding up a transfer film and a device for performing transfer printing on printed sheets of paper, capable of eliminating the need to frequently replace the transfer film, thereby allowing the transfer film to be used over a prolonged time. According to the method of winding up a transfer film, the transfer film fed from a feed roll through a feed path is pressed onto a fed printed sheet to transfer patterns of the transfer film, and then the transfer film is wound up onto a windup roll through a windup path. During the rewind of the transfer film from the windup roll to the feed roll, a lateral position of the transfer film running along the feed path is detected, and the feed roll is moved in its axial direction to follow a lateral positional change of the transfer film.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a sheet-fed printing press that prevents occurrence of troubles, such as damages of a surface treatment member such as a film for the surface treatment of, for example, a sheet of paper, by a simple structure. A gripping surface of a claw block provided in a cylinder of a treatment section is formed into an inclined surface that comes closer to the rotational axis as it advances downstream in a sheet conveying direction of the cylinder, so as not to have the gripper of the cylinder contacting the treatment means. A gripping surface of a claw block provided in a cylinder most adjacent to the treatment section, of plural cylinders, is formed into an inclined surface that, projects further through an outline of this cylinder as it advances downstream in the sheet conveying direction.

  • Patent number: 7460706
Abstract: In a double-sided color printing press, first and second color bars of a print are scanned to acquire alignment information of control patches, so that the first and second color bars are recognized whether they are printed on the first or second side of the print based on the alignment information. The alignment information of the patches acquired is compared with alignment information previously stored in a memory means so that when they are matched, information on the print quality of the patches evaluated is transmitted to the printing press in the order in which they are scanned in scanning directions, and when they are not matched, the information is transmitted to the printing press in the reversed scanning order. The amount of ink is thus controlled based on the information on the print quality in the order in which they are transmitted.
