Abstract: A hollow tubular foam spring having a plurality of radially extending holes extending from an outer surface towards a central hollow core. The tubular foam spring is arranged with wall thickness and diameter to height ratios such that center bulging is achieved under compressive loads. In an embodiment, such as in a mattress, seat, cushion or pillow, springs are arranged in an array whereby some impinge upon one another due to central bulging.

Abstract: A seal assembly including a seal element which has at least one seal portion for sealing a vertically movable window pane of a vehicle door against a vertical window frame limb. The seal element additionally has a seal portion for forming a gap which is formed between a center that borders the vehicle door and a vertical window pane edge side facing the center.
Abstract: A system and method for providing a virtual collaborative creation of real-world projects. The system comprises a server configured to store and process input data, the server comprising a memory and a processor, wherein the memory further comprises a database with structured data storing virtual replicas of real-world elements forming a virtual world system, and wherein the processor is configured to execute data and instructions stored in the memory. A plurality of devices connect the server via a network, each device comprising sensing mechanisms configured to capture multi-source data from real-world elements that serve to enrich and synchronize the virtual replicas with corresponding real-world elements. Collaborative platforms stored in the memory and accessed via user devices enable the creation, tender offering, and administrative reviewing and approval or rejection of real-world projects. Methods thereof are also described.
Abstract: A system for visibility enhancement for a motor vehicle assistant system for warning the driver of hazardous situations due to at least one object being located within a critical range defined relative to the motor vehicle includes at least a first sensor means comprising a camera installed in a rear view equipment of the motor vehicle adapted to record at least one image, and an image processing means adapted to receive a first input signal from the first sensor means containing the at least one image and a second input signal containing at least one position profile of the at least one object located within the critical range, and manipulate the at least one image to generate a contrast manipulated image. A corresponding method of visibility enhancement is also described.
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing and assessing neuromodulation therapy are disclosed herein. One method for assessing the efficacy of neuromodulation therapy includes positioning a neuromodulation catheter at a target site within a renal blood vessel of a human patient and delivering neuromodulation energy at the target site with the neuromodulation catheter. The method can further include obtaining a measurement related to a blood flow rate through the renal blood vessel via the neuromodulation catheter. The measurement can be compared to a baseline measurement related to the blood flow rate through the renal blood vessel to assess the efficacy of the neuromodulation therapy. In some embodiments, the baseline and post-neuromodulation measurements are obtained by injecting an indicator fluid into the renal blood vessel upstream of the target site and detecting a transient change in vessel impedance caused by the indicator fluid.
Abstract: A method and system for controlling at least one robotically controlled surgical tool via vocal activation include detecting a vocal command generated by a surgeon, converting said at least one surgeon in said surgical setting via said voice sensor. The vocal command is converted to operative instructions associated with a robotically controlled surgical tool to generate instructions according to a predetermined set of rules including at least one of a no fly zone rule and collision prevention rule.

Abstract: A system including a self-expanding prosthesis configured to foreshorten during deployment thereof and a delivery device configured to percutaneously deliver the self-expanding prosthesis. The delivery device includes a handle having an actuator thereon, an outer sheath including a proximal end coupled to the handle and a pusher shaft slidingly disposed within the outer sheath. The pusher shaft has a proximal end coupled to the handle and a distal end configured to releasably couple to the self-expanding prosthesis such that the self-expanding prosthesis axially moves therewith. The inner shaft has a distal portion of the inner shaft that is configured to receive a self-expanding prosthesis thereon. The outer sheath and the pusher shaft are configured to simultaneously move in opposing axial directions via actuation of the actuator on the handle to compensate for the foreshortening of the self-expanding prosthesis during deployment.
Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment, a method for determining changes in health of a user is disclosed. The method includes sensing multi-dimensional motion of a body part of a user to generate a first multi-dimensional motion signal at a first time and date; in response to the first multi-dimensional motion signal, generating a first neuro-mechanical fingerprint; generating a first health measure in response to the first NFP and user calibration parameters; sensing multi-dimensional motion of the body part of the user to generate another multi-dimensional motion signal at another time and date; in response to the another multi-dimensional motion signal, generating another neuro-mechanical fingerprint; generating another health measure in response to the another NFP and the user calibration parameters; and comparing the first health measure with the another health measure to determine a difference representing the health degradation of the user.
Abstract: An assembly includes a head assembly for an external rear view device to be attached to a motor vehicle, a lower casing element, an upper casing element, an articulation assembly, a bezel assembly for carrying at least one rear view element, and a hinge connection between the bezel assembly and a first sub assembly provided by at least the lower casing, the articulation assembly and attachment means with the articulation assembly being mounted on the attachment means or the attachment means being mounted on the articulation assembly.

Abstract: A medical contact shock freezer (10) adapted for fast freezing a plurality of individual bags (41-43, 51-53) containing a medical liquid, the individual bags being arranged side by side, adjacent to each other, in which the contact shock freezer comprises a pair of freezing plates comprising an upper freezing plate (21) and a lower freezing plate (22), at least one of the upper and lower freezing plates of the pair being moveable to define i) a loading position in which sufficient separation is provided between the freezing plates to load or unload the individual bags between the freezing plates and ii) a freezing position in which each individual bag is in contact with and is clamped between a contact surface of the upper freezing plate and a contact surface of the lower freezing plate; and in which, in its freezing position, the contact surface of the upper freezing plate is arranged at an angle of at least 2° to the horizontal.
Abstract: Cooling device 1, in particular a freezer 2, having a closable cooling space 3, an electrically operated cooling circuit, and preferably a cold storage pack 4, wherein the at least one closable cooling space 3 and the cold storage pack 4 can be cooled by the electrically operated cooling circuit. The cooling device has a power distributor 5 for distributing electrical power of at least one regenerative power source 6 to an electrically operated cooling circuit of the cooling device 1 and to at least one further electricity consuming device 7. In addition, the power distributor 5 has a control system with a computing unit 23, a memory 24 and priority logic. The priority logic is used to preferentially supply the electrically operated cooling circuit of the cooling device 1 with electricity if there is a lack of electrical power of the at least one regenerative power source 6.
