Abstract: The present invention discloses a number of markers selectively deregulated in tumor-infiltrating regulatory T cells. The invention relates to molecules able to modulate the expression and/or function of at least one such marker for use in the prevention and/or treatment of the tumor. Preferably the molecule specifically binds to the marker and induces antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC). The invention further relates to a molecule able to modulate the expression and/or function of at least one such marker for use in a method for in vivo depleting tumor-infiltrating regulatory T cell in a subject, or for use in a method to enhance tumor immunity in a subject. Corresponding pharmaceutical compositions are also contemplated.
Abstract: A gripper for industrial manipulators, especially for optical inspection devices to inspect transparent or semitransparent containers includes a body and an upper portion constrained to the body and rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the body. An actuator is operable to impart rotations to the upper portion, and jaws are mounted on the upper portion and are movable closer to and away from each other to pick up and release an object. Rotation of the upper portion and activation of the jaws are controlled by the same electric motor housed in the gripper itself. The electric motor rotates a drive shaft coaxial with the longitudinal axis and connected to the upper portion so that the jaws rotate about the longitudinal axis. The assembly formed by the electric motor and the drive shaft may translate along the longitudinal axis to move the jaws and, therefore, open and close the gripper.
Abstract: The present invention concerns a tyre-changing machine provided with a basic structure that can rest on the ground, a retaining and rotation unit mounted on an upper part of the structure and adapted to retain and set the rim (C) of a wheel (R) in rotation around an axis of rotation of the wheel (Z-Z) and a holding column associated with the retaining and rotation unit and intended to support a tool for mounting/disassembling a tyre (P) onto/from the rim (C) of the wheel (R). Advantageously, the tool comprises a hooked end which can rotate passively around an axis of rotation (X-X) orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the wheel (Z-Z).
Abstract: A gripper for industrial manipulators includes a body, jaws constrained to the body and activatable to hold and release a piece, an actuator of the jaws and a sensor configured to detect the presence of a piece between said jaws, is described. Advantageously, the sensor is not positioned between the jaws, in the space intended to accommodate the piece to be held, but is functionally interposed between the actuator and one of the jaws. A method for detecting the presence of a piece between the jaws of an industrial manipulator gripper includes providing a sensor usable to detect the position of a jaw with respect to the actuator of the gripper.
Abstract: Machine for sewing envelopes into pouches, in correspondence with an opening delimited by two free overlapping flaps, the machine includes a support base; a sewing head, mechanically mounted on the support base, configured to make a sewing line along a sewing direction; retaining means for retaining the free flaps of said envelope like a bag; first movement means for realizing a relative movement between said sewing head and the holding means along a first movement direction substantially parallel to the sewing line; second movement means for moving the sewing head and/or holding means at least along a second movement direction orthogonal with respect to the first movement direction; at least a first sensor configured to detect an extremal edge of the free edges; at least one electronic control unit for generating the relative motion between the support base and/or the holding means along the second movement direction.
Abstract: A laminate (110) of polypropylene films (100), a luggage shell (120) constructed of the laminate (110), a method (200) of making the laminate (110), and a method (280) of making the luggage shell (120) are provided. The films (100) include a core (102) and at least one outer layer (104). The laminate (110) includes a plurality of films (100). The laminate (110) may be formed by laminating a plurality of films 100 under predetermined pressure, temperature, and time conditions. The shell (120) may be formed by deep drawing a sheet of laminate (110) while applying heat and tension to the laminate (110).
Abstract: Cantilever probes are produced for use in a test apparatus of integrated electronic circuits. The probes are configured to contact corresponding terminals of the electronic circuits to be tested during a test operation. The probe bodies are formed of electrically conductive materials. On a lower portion of each probe body that, in use, is directed to the respective terminal to be contacted, an electrically conductive contact region is formed having a first hardness value equal to or greater than 300 HV; each contact region and the respective probe body form the corresponding probe.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a SiC-based electronic device, comprising the steps of: implanting, on a front side of a solid body made of SiC having a conductivity of an N type, dopant species of a P type thus forming an implanted region, which extends in the solid body starting from the front side and has a top surface coplanar with the front side; and generating a laser beam directed towards the implanted region in order to generate heating of the implanted region to temperatures comprised between 1500° C. and 2600° C. so as to form a carbon-rich electrical-contact region at the implanted region. The carbon-rich electrical-contact region forms an ohmic contact.

Abstract: An audio device includes a gain step selection circuit that receives a different requested gain value and an associated requested step size from each of a plurality of sources, compares each requested gain value to a same feedback gain value and generates a polarity based thereupon, performs step polarization on each requested step size as a function of the generated polarity therefor to thereby generate a plurality of step values, and outputs a least of the plurality of step values as an output step value. An accumulator circuit generates a current input gain value based upon the output step value and the feedback gain value, and then updates the feedback gain value to be equal to the current input gain value. A normalizing circuit multiplies an input data value by the current input gain value and applies a truncation function to a result thereof to produce an output data value.
Abstract: A vertical-conduction MOSFET device formed in a body of silicon carbide having a first and a second face and a peripheral zone. A drain region, of a first conductivity type, extends in the body between the two faces. A body region, of a second conductivity type, extends in the body from the first face, and a source region, having the first conductivity type, extends to the inside of the body region from the first face of the body. An insulated gate region extends on the first face of the body and comprises a gate conductive region. An annular connection region, of conductive material, is formed within a surface edge structure extending on the first face of the body, in the peripheral zone. The gate conductive region and the annular connection region are formed by a silicon layer and by a metal silicide layer overlying the silicon layer.
