Abstract: A bandsaw assembly including an improved drive belt tensioning device which enables efficient manual engagement and disengagement from the drive belt through use of an overcenter bracket. The overcenter bracket includes a spring releasably holding the tensioning device out of engagement with the belt to permit the operator to use both hands during a belt changing operation.
Abstract: A drill press assembly including a spindle supported by a column and base, a work table and an adjustable fence assembly. The adjustable fence assembly includes clamping means permitting the fence to be adjustably mounted on the column of the drill press. The fence includes a vertically oriented planar surface. Clamping means permit the planar surface to be adjusted in an infinite number of vertical and horizontal positions thereby to facilitate positioning of a workpiece for precise drilling operations. A V-block may be mounted to the fence to facilitate drilling into the end of a cylindrical workpiece.

Abstract: A battery-powered tool (10) generally comprises a motor (24) having a positive terminal (64) and a negative terminal (66) extending therefrom for continuous engagement to a rotatable actuator (26). Actuator (26) has a plurality of conductive arms (28) extending therefrom for contact with a battery assembly (20) such that the actuator (26) can be selectively rotated to engage the motor (24) in both high speed and low speed operations.
Abstract: A drive gear is mounted for rotation in a plane parallel with the axis of rotation of the output member of the motor. The gear includes an annular series of beveled gear teeth in meshing engagement with beveled pinion teeth on the end of the motor output member. The drive gear includes a crank pin roller and an annular cam surface eccentric to the axis of rotation of the gear. The roller is received within a rectilinear slot in the plunger assembly thereby defining a scotch-yoke drive for reciprocating the plunger assembly. The plunger assembly includes planar cam follower formations engaged by the annular cam surface to provide an oscillating component of movement to the plunger assembly. The crank pin mounts a disk in eccentric relationship to the drive gear; this disk supports another crank pin and roller.
