Abstract: A ballistic performance and trauma reduction system for soft body armor including a solid plastic sheet cut into multiple sections of geometric designs which overlap and are stitched to one or more layers of woven or non-woven ballistic fabric contained within a ballistic package of the soft body armor. Energy is transmitted through the ballistic sheets to the plastic sheet improving ballistic performance and reducing trauma to the wearer's body, resulting in safer, thinner and lighter armor.

Abstract: A dispenser holds a number of shotgun shells, which a shooter can retrieve quickly one or two at a time, to reload the shotgun. The shells that remain in the dispenser do not rattle around loosely but rather are held in position in the dispenser, from which position they can easily be extracted.

Abstract: A stun grenade includes a fuze assembly secured to a housing adjacent gas outlet ports. The fuze assembly includes a fuze body having contact surfaces located in the flow path of the gas from the outlet ports so that gas flowing from the outlet ports impinges on the contact surfaces. The contact surfaces of the fuze body extend at an angle of no more than about 50 degrees to the first direction.

Abstract: A firearm holster assembly includes a holster pocket having an interior volume for accommodating a firearm within, a locking device mounted within the interior volume for selectively impeding the withdrawal of the firearm therefrom, the locking device including an operating lever extending outwardly from the holster pocket and operable to disengage the locking device from the firearm, and a locking device safety mechanism mounted to the holster pocket and including an operating arm operable to selectively inhibit operation of the operating lever.

Abstract: A multi-section locking baton includes a manually actuatable release rod extending axially through outer, middle and inner tubes for unlocking first and second cam joints between the tubes. The release rod includes a tip having three sections, including an outermost or distal section that increases in diameter as measured in a direction moving away from the distal end of the tip; an intermediate section that is the widest section of the tip and that has a plurality of relief openings formed in as outer surface; and a proximal section that tapers from the intermediate section to a narrower diameter at the proximal tip end where it is secured onto the release rod. A portion of the release rod tip is located in one of the cams when the baton is in the extended condition. The baton also includes bushings on the inner diameters of the outer and middle tubes, and wear rings on the outer diameters of the middle and inner tubes.

Abstract: An adjustable belt mount includes a belt mount body and a generally L-shaped belt sizing insert. The belt mount body defines a belt aperture adapted to receive a belt therethrough, and first and second belt sizing slots being spaced and extending parallel to each other and communicating with the belt aperture. The belt mount body also includes a forward extension adapted to releasably connect an accessory thereto. The belt aperture is adapted to receive belts of various widths therethrough. The belt sizing insert is arranged in the belt aperture, and includes a planar portion carrying a retaining body extending from a first side thereof and releasably received by either of the first and second belt sizing slots, to accommodate belts of differing widths, and a delimiting portion extending generally perpendicular from a second side thereof. The delimiting portion can thereby form varying predetermined width passageways within the belt aperture.

No modification of the vest is necessary to accommodate the cooling unit.

Abstract: A deltoid arm protection system for a ballistic vest including an asymmetrical anatomically shaped deltoid cover having fasteners for attachment to a ballistic vest. The deltoid cover is connected to the vest and prevents any gaps forming between the deltoid cover and the vest during arm movement of the wearer. The deltoid cover includes a weapon gripping pad and attachment loops on an outer surface of the deltoid cover.

Abstract: An attachment mount for removably attaching articles to a MOLLE/PALS-compliant garment or the like. The mount is unitary with openings for affixing an article. A pair of resiliently compressible outer tines with a barb are compressed inwardly to be inserted through a pair of adjacent loops in a first horizontal webbing and then into a vertically-aligned pair of adjacent loops in a second webbing. Upon exiting the loops of the second webbing, the barbs spring outwardly to catch upon a lower edge at spaced stitched areas of the second webbing. Inner tines are directed overtop of the first webbing and into the same loops in the second webbing occupied by the outer tines, with the stitched area between the loops straddled by the inner tines.
