The films (100) include a core (102) and at least one outer layer (104). The laminate (110) includes a plurality of films (100). The laminate (110) may be formed by laminating a plurality of films 100 under predetermined pressure, temperature, and time conditions. The shell (120) may be formed by deep drawing a sheet of laminate (110) while applying heat and tension to the laminate (110).

Abstract: In one embodiment, a luggage article is disclosed. The luggage article includes a main body with a lid and a base forming an internal storage volume. The lid and the base are hingedly coupled to one another and selectively closable by a closure mechanism. A lock mechanism is coupled to one of the base or the lid and operable to secure the closure mechanism against opening. An attachment member is coupled to the main body the lock mechanism.

The continuous closure assembly of the continuous closure structure includes a first strip portion and a second strip portion connected along a common outer edge. The second strip portion overlays a portion of the first strip portion. The expansion zipper assembly of the continuous closure structure includes a central webbing portion having zipper teeth on opposing sides, and a gusset member secured between the shell and the central webbing portion.

Abstract: A luggage article including an easy access system is provided. The easy access system may include two or more doors positioned on a top portion of the luggage article. The doors may open in opposite directions to one another, for example, towards one another. The doors may provide access to two separate compartments, for example, to a main compartment and a secondary compartment.

Abstract: A luggage article may include a plurality of walls together defining an outer structure of the luggage article, a wheel bracket attached to and extending from one of the walls, and one or more wheels attached to the wheel bracket. The wheel bracket may comprise a leaf spring having a loop-shaped profile and the one or more wheels may be rotationally attached to a lower end of the loop-shaped leaf spring. The configuration of the wheel bracket may result in higher shock absorption and reduced wheel noise comparative to conventional wheel brackets, and offer an improvement and alternative to conventional luggage wheel brackets.

Abstract: A snap fit interlock for attaching a component of a luggage article may include a snap fitting connecting a luggage article component to a luggage shell, and a locking feature automatically limiting the disengagement of the snap fitting once the snap fitting is engaged. The snap fitting may engage and move the locking feature as the snap fitting is moved in an insertion direction during attachment of the luggage article component to the luggage shell. The locking feature may disengage from the snap fitting when the snap fitting engages the luggage shell. A portion of the locking feature may be automatically positioned between the snap fitting and the luggage article component to limit disconnection of the snap fitting once engaged.

At least a portion of the zipper track may be positioned within one or more recessed areas defined by at least some of the sides of the luggage. In some embodiments, the zipper track may be positioned within the one or more recessed areas along substantially the entire length of the zipper track.

The luggage article may include a housing defined by first and second shell portions pivotably connected together at a split line. The housing may define a front major face, a rear major face, and a plurality of minor faces extending between the front and rear major faces. The front and rear major faces may have a width dimension greater than each of the plurality of minor faces. The split line may extend along the front and rear major faces of the housing.
