Abstract: A method for providing a graphical user interface (GUI) to receive a user command on a touch screen, and a multimedia apparatus using the same. The method for providing a GUI includes determining whether an enlargement command for a GUI item is received, and enlarging the GUI item. Therefore, it is possible to enable a user to operate the GUI item more correctly, and to provide the superior visual effect when the GUI item is operated.

Abstract: Provided is a recording medium reproducing device including a driver configured to load a recording medium storing video data, including a plurality of video frames, and additional information about the plurality of video frames included in a plurality of layers, respectively, when the recording medium is loaded therein; a user interface configured to receive a trick play command; a video processor which processes the video data; and a controller configured to select at least one layer to be decoded from among the plurality of layers based on a trick play speed determined according to the trick play command and the additional information, control the video processor to decode video frames of the selected layer, and performs a trick play corresponding to the trick play speed using the decoded video frames.

Abstract: A method of finding point correspondences includes dividing a first left image into first sub regions and a first right image into second sub regions, detecting first feature points according to first threshold values respectively corresponding to the first sub regions and detecting second feature points according to the first threshold values respectively corresponding to the second sub regions, matching each of the first feature points with each of the second feature points, finding point correspondences in the matched feature points, and providing the point correspondences to an image processing device.

Abstract: An image processing method and apparatus includes receiving a transmission image as an input image, obtaining a threshold which is applied to noise removal, based on at least one image information from among information related to a pixel intensity of the input image and an edge map, and removes noise in the input image by using the threshold.

The system includes a first device configured to create a course, to upload materials used for the course to a server, to set students to participate in the course, to configure a student group in a class, and to manage information of the students and education of the students, and a second device configured to submit an assignment result and a test by using materials created by the first device. The first device performs correction guidance for the assignment and test submitted by the first device and stores teacher-correction-guided content in the server, and the second device receives the correction guidance from the first device.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus of controlling a User Interfaces (UIs) using a touch screen are provided. The method includes displaying a menu item in a basic setting menu that is preset in a user device, the menu item being used to select rearrangement of UIs arranged in a display area of the touch screen in a user-touchable partial area, and displaying a rearranged screen displaying the UIs rearranged in the user-touchable partial area, upon sensing of a user touch input selecting the rearrangement of the UIs.

Abstract: A method of controlling a stereo vision device includes calculating depth information by analyzing stereo images, setting regions of interest within each of the stereo images by using the depth information, and performing an auto focus operation on each of the regions of interest. The method may further include performing an auto exposure operation on each of the regions of interest.

Abstract: A method for performing a handover by a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes detecting signaling from at least one of active lower base stations, transmitting, to an upper base station as a serving base station, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) measurement report including information on the detected signaling, and performing the handover to a target active lower base station. The target active lower base station is a base station that remains active among the active lower base stations and the UE, the active lower base stations are included in the cell coverage of the upper base station. The upper base station has cell coverage including cell coverage of the active lower base stations.
