Abstract: A cutting insert includes an insert body having a central longitudinal axis. The insert body has a first radial side and a second radial side. A first axial side includes a first relief face, a second relief face, and a first recess having a first bottom surface. The first relief face, the second relief face, and the first bottom surface are arranged such that each point of same is visible from either a first side view towards the first radial side or from a second side view towards the second radial side. The insert body is longer along the longitudinal direction at a central portion towards the central longitudinal axis than at an outer portion towards one of the first or second radial sides. Further a milling tool is disclosed.
Abstract: An indexable tangential cutting insert for a milling tool includes two opposing side surfaces and four identical lateral surfaces extending between the side surfaces. Each lateral surface of the insert is provided with a support surface configured to be supported by, on one hand, a corresponding support face of a pocket of a tool body providing an axial support to the insert in two of eight index positions and, on the other, a corresponding support face of the pocket providing a tangential support to the insert in two other of said eight index positions. Each lateral surface of the insert is provided with a single second support surface being concave as seen in a direction perpendicular to said side surfaces and extending diagonally across the lateral surface.

Abstract: A gyratory crusher includes an inner and an outer crushing shell. The outer crushing shell has three regions along its axial length including: an inlet region that tapers radially inward from an uppermost first end; a crushing region that extends radially inward from a second lowermost end; and a radially innermost shoulder region that is positioned axially between the inlet and crushing regions. An angle of inclination of a radially inward facing surface at the inlet and shoulder regions and the axial length of the crushing surface are designed to optimize crushing capacity in addition maximizing reduction.

Abstract: A tool body and a turning tool for grooving operations having the tool body include a fitting member extending along a longitudinal first axis for fixing the tool body to a machine. Abstract: Automated fixture layout is approached in two distinct stages. First, the spatial locations of clamping points on the work piece are determined to ensure immobility of the fixtured part under any infinitesimal perturbation. Second, spatial locations are matched against a user-specified library of reconfigurable clamps to synthesize a valid fixture layout or configuration that includes clamps that are accessible and collision free. The first thickness portion has an essentially columnar ?-Al2O3 grain structure, and at a transition from the first thickness portion to the second thickness portion the grain boundaries of at least 1 out of 25 neighboring grains of the ?-Al2O3 grains undergo a directional change into a direction that is essentially perpendicular, 90±45 degrees, to the grain boundaries in the first thickness portion.
