Abstract: A method and a system for managing information relating to boreholes and further an identifier utilized by the method and the system. An identifier which includes machine-readable information is arranged in connection with a borehole under examination. The readable information may be an identification code or, alternatively, measurement information on the borehole to be stored in the identifier.
Abstract: A method for automatically controlling a mining machine. In the method a route is determined for a mining machine (14) in the form of successive, interconnected segments in a coordinate system fixed in a relation to the mine, the segments in turn being determined as successive points located at a distance from one another. The location of each point is determined in the coordinate system fixed in relation to the mine and the data associated with the points is sent wirelessly (17) to the mining machine.
Abstract: The invention relates to a percussion device comprising two percussion pistons alternately making a percussion motion and a control valve for controlling the percussion pistons. The control valve (7) comprises a slide (8) affected by a force so that the slide is generally in a first position, but moves at the end of the percussion motion of the first percussion piston from the first position to a second position and correspondingly back to the first position at the end of the percussion motion of the second percussion piston (4).

Abstract: A percussion device for a rock drilling machine or the like, which includes providing an impact, i.e. a stress pulse, to a tool connected to the percussion device. The the stress pulse is provided by way of a stress element of liquid, which is supported to a body of the percussion device. The stress element is subjected to pressure and correspondingly the stress element is released abruptly, whereby the stress energy is discharged as a stress pulse to the tool in direct or indirect contact with the stress element.

Abstract: An axial bearing includes a first piston and a second piston. Axial contact surfaces between the pistons are arranged in the same pressure space. The same pressure fluid fed to the axial bearing acts on the contact surfaces and on working pressure surfaces of the pistons. A rock drilling machine is also provided with such an axial bearing.
Abstract: A method of initializing the position and direction of a mining vehicle, and a mining vehicle. An environmental model and route points are stored in a control system of the vehicle. The environment of the vehicle is scanned, and scanned points are generated based on obstacles observed. The control system is arranged to determine coordinates of the scanned points by using the position of the route points within a search range and at least one direction. The coordinates calculated for the scanned points are compared with the environmental model. Such a route point and direction are selected as initial values for the mining vehicle, by which the generated coordinates of the scanned points best match the environmental model.
Abstract: A method for cleaning a filter apparatus of a rock drilling rig, a filter apparatus and a rock drilling rig. The filter apparatus comprises several filter units, and the filters therein separate solid matter from the filtering flow. The filter apparatus comprises a cleaning apparatus with a pressure channel enabling to provide the filter unit to be cleaned with a pressure pulse. The cleaning apparatus also comprises mechanical sealing means for preventing the filtering flow through the filter unit to be cleaned during cleaning.
Abstract: A method, system and access station for passage control of mine vehicles. Mine vehicles are transferred between an operation area and a manual area through one or more access stations between which there is an intermediate space, to which the mine vehicle to be transferred can be driven. When the mine vehicle is in the intermediate space, at least one access gate is closed.

Abstract: A method of generating a stress pulse, and an impact device. In the method, pressure fluid is fed as pressure pulses to a working chamber residing between the frame of the impact device and a tool such that the resulting force presses the tool towards the material to be processed. The impact device comprises a working chamber and device for conveying pressure fluid as pressure pulses thereto such that a force is produced between the frame of the impact device and a tool to press the tool towards the material to be processed.

Abstract: An impact device includes a frame to which a tool is connectible, and a stress element that is supported on the frame and disposed between the frame and the tool. A hydraulic control system leads pressurized hydraulic fluid into and out of a hydraulic fluid space such that the stress element causes a stress pulse in the tool. The hydraulic control system includes a rotatingly installed control valve that has control openings for intermittently leading the hydraulic fluid out from the hydraulic fluid space.

Abstract: A percussion device for a rock drilling machine or the like, which comprises means for providing an impact, i.e. a stress pulse, to a tool connected to the percussion device. The means for proving the stress pulse include a stress element (4) of liquid, which is supported to a body (2) of the percussion device and means for subjecting the stress element to pressure and correspondingly for releasing the stress element (4) abruptly, whereby the stress energy is discharged as a stress pulse to the tool in direct or indirect contact with the stress element.
