Abstract: Twist drill for short hole drilling with two chip flutes opening in a clearance surface of a front tip to form, with the clearance surface, two cutting edges. Chip flutes have three different part surfaces having different curvatures—a bottom surface with arc radius less than 10 mm and two other ones with radius of curvature approaching infinity. Boundary line between concave bottom surface and heading frontal surface meets a main edge that is included in the individual cutting edge and divided into two edge segments imparting a J-like shape to the main edge. The chip flute is extraordinary deep with the diameter (DC) of the core reduced to a minimum and the opening angle (?) smaller than the angle of divergence (?) of two bars, between which the flutes are countersunk. The drill improves-formation and evacuation of chips, is easy-cutting and requires a minimum of energy.
Abstract: The invention relates to a rock drilling rig, a method for controlling the temperature of its drive equipment, and a liquid cooling system. The rock drilling rig includes combustion-engine-free drive equipment, which includes electric components for affecting transfer drive. The rock drilling rig is also provided with a liquid cooling system, to which one or more electric components affecting the transfer drive are connected to be cooled by the system. The cooling of the components is controlled by a control unit according to a strategy set therein. The cooling system may additionally be precooled before the transfer drive.

Abstract: The invention relates to a percussion device having a frame, a tool mounted movable in its longitudinal direction, the percussion device containing a work chamber having a movably mounted transmission piston to compress the tool so that a longitudinal stress pulse is generated to the tool, inlet and outlet channels for conducting the pressure fluid to the percussion device and away from it and a control valve that alternately directs the pressure fluid from the inlet channel to the work chamber to act on the transmission piston and, correspondingly, discharges the pressure fluid from the percussion device. The percussion device and trans-mission piston have channels that connect the pressure fluid that acted on the transmission piston to flow during the return movement of the transmission piston through the control valve and transmission piston to the pressure fluid outlet channel and cut off the flow when the transmission piston has returned to its initial position.

Abstract: A coated cutting tool includes a coating and a substrate. Abstract: A connection assembly for mounting a ground engaging tool to earthmoving equipment includes a body into which is received a resilient means, a force applying member, a locking member with an O-ring seal to be received in an annular channel around the locking member, a locking member stop received in a hole in the locking member, and a body stop to be fitted into an aperture under the body. The locking member stop prevents the force applying member from rotating within the body when the bolt is rotated and advances the piston by threaded engagement.
