  • Publication number: 20070089810
Abstract: The present invention relates to a stainless steel alloy, more precisely a duplex stainless steel alloy having ferritic-austenitic matrix and having high corrosion resistance in combination with good structural stability and hot-workability, in particular a duplex stainless steel having a ferritic content of 40-65% and a well-balanced composition, which gives the material corrosion properties making it more suitable for use in chloride-containing environments than what has been found possible previously. The material according to the present invention has, in view of the high alloy content thereof, extraordinarily good workability, in particular hot-workability, and should thereby be very suitable to be used for, for instance, the manufacture of bars: pipes, such as welded and weld less pipes, weld material, construction parts, such as, for instance, flanges and couplings.

  • Patent number: 7198117
Abstract: The invention relates to a rock drilling arrangement and a method and program for controlling rock drilling on the basis of specific energy consumption. The specific energy of drilling is the quantity of energy used per a unit of length of the drilled hole. Not only the used impact energy, but also the energy used by at least one other sub-process is taken into account when determining the specific energy. Rotation energy is typically included, but feeding energy and flushing energy can also be considered. Drilling variables are adjusted so that the specific energy is of a predetermined size.

  • Patent number: 7195427
Abstract: A cutting insert includes a body that forms top and bottom surfaces, and a center hole intersecting at least the top surface (e.g., a through-hole). A portion of the top surface which extends around the center hole includes an array of projections radiating laterally outwardly around the center hole. A distal end of each projection disposed farthest from the center hole defines a tip of the projection. The projections form at least six tips spaced circumferentially apart. Each tip has a planar top face. A clamp has flat contact surfaces which press downwardly against the planar top faces of respective projections simultaneously as the clamp pulls the insert against an upstanding support surface.
