Abstract: A method of forming an undergarment is provided. The method includes inserting an adhesive layer between a first fabric layer and a second fabric layer to form a fabric sub-assembly, the sub-assembly having a periphery that is larger than an outer periphery of the undergarment; causing the adhesive layer to form a laminate from the sub-assembly; and removing a trim from the laminate at the outer periphery to form a finished edge of the undergarment, wherein the first and second fabric layers comprise at least one cotton material.
Abstract: An undergarment having a body portion and a pair of depending leg portions having a crotch region located therebetween with the body and leg portions being integrally formed from a single blank of warp knitted fabric. The opposed side edges of the blank being seamed together to define the body and leg portions. The blank is knitted to define compressive regions in the blank with different compressive strengths and being knitted to define stretch regions in the blank which have different stretch characteristics with the positional location, the size and shape of the regions being predetermined to provide desired shaping characteristics of the garment.
Abstract: A brassiere having a terry loop stitch construction knitted into desired portions of the brassiere, preferably within at least the breast cups of the brassiere, is provided. The terry loop may be a true sinker produced terry loop or mock terry loop. The brassiere may be a single-layer brassiere or a double-layer brassiere. A blank for manufacturing the brassiere and method of manufacturing the brassiere is also provided.
Abstract: An apparatus for forming a cotton/rayon blended yarn. The apparatus includes a supply of cotton fibers and a supply of rayon fibers. A blending operation line blends the cotton fibers and the rayon fibers. The fibers are then spun in an open end spinning turbine having a twist multiple of less than about 3.7 at a rotor speed of less than about 112,000 RPM. A roughing navel downstream from the open and spinning turbine distressing the surface of the cotton/rayon blended yarn to further improve the hand of yarn. The yarn is then knitted or woven into fabric and finished. The resulting fabric, and apparel made therefrom, has the advantage of having a particularly soft and luxurious hand, particularly compared to fabric knit from 100% cotton yarn.

Abstract: A circular knit bra is provided. The bra has a pair of breast cups, a central gore disposed between the breast cups, and a pair of side panels. Each of the breast cups has at least two different areas of stretchability. Each different area of stretchability has a different stitch density.
Abstract: An adjustable circular knit bra is provided. The bra has a pair of breast cups, a central gore disposed between the breast cups, and a pair of side panels. Each side panel is adjacent to a different one of the pair of breast cups. The central gore also has a stabilizing area knitted therein. The breast cups also have a stabilizing area knitted into the bottom edge of each breast cup. The bra preferably also has a pair of adjustable shoulder straps. The bra preferably also has adjustable fasteners at the bra back.
Abstract: In a first embodiment, a first fabric layer has gelatinous strips, thereby separating the first fabric layer into sections. A second fabric layer is positioned upon the first fabric layer, and an underwire is positioned on the second fabric layer opposite the first fabric layer. The first fabric layer is then folded onto itself to enclose the second fabric layer and the underwire. In a second embodiment, a third, or intermediate, fabric layer is positioned between the first and second fabric layers. In a third embodiment, an underwire is surrounded by a first, non-woven fabric layer. A second, rigid-type fabric having a bladder with a gelatinous material is positioned on the first fabric. The first fabric is wrapped around the underwire, and the bladder is positioned against the body of the wearer.
Abstract: A circular knit bra is provided. The bra has a torso encircling shape with a torso part having an outer fabric, an inner fabric, and a bra bottom. The outer fabric and the inner fabric each have a lower edge. The outer fabric and the inner fabric form a double layer. An integrally knitted reinforced anchoring chest band at the lower edge of the inner fabric forms a fold line, such that the anchoring chest band is concealed by the outer fabric layer. The bra bottom may have a smooth straight finished edge, a decorative scalloped edge, or a beaded edge mini-turned welt treatment.
Abstract: A flexible package with a body portion that includes a front, a back, a bottom and two sides.
