    Abstract: A method of cooling a radiator in an internal combustion engine wherein a plurality of fan assemblies is provided. Specifically, each fan assembly has a housing with an interior containing a fan blade and an exterior having six sides to form a hexagonal perimeter. The fan assemblies are then arranged side by side to form a cluster of fan assemblies in order to maximize the amount of fan assemblies that may be provided on an enclosure. The cluster of fan assemblies is then placed adjacent to a radiator to control the air flow over the radiator in order to cool the engine.

The hydraulic servomotor (4) is of a kind having at least one defined end position, and has a first chamber (5) and a second chamber (6) associated therewith. The actuator comprises a first valve (7) fluidly connected between the fluid source (2) and the first chamber (5), a second valve (8) fluidly connected between the first chamber (5) and the fluid drain (3), and a third valve (9) fluidly connected between the fluid source (2) and the second chamber (6). The actuator further comprises a flow channel (10, 17), preferably comprising a flow restrictor (12, 18), in fluid communication with the second chamber (6). The valves (7, 8, 9) are such that, in the case of a power cut off, they will prevent a fluid flow out of the first chamber (5), and a fluid flow out of the second chamber (6) takes place via the flow channel (10, 17).

The fluid flow is metered by a flow meter, and the valve member comprises a plurality of meter ports communicating the fluid between the valve member and the flow meter. To obtain less friction between the sleeve and the housing and between the sleeve and the spool, the meter ports are grouped in two groups in which groups the ports are in mutually fluid communication.

It is endeavored to find a simple manner of ensuring the priority of the steering initiator over the steering valve. For this purpose, the steering initiator interacts with an activation sensor, which deactivates the feedback suppressing device on an activation of the steering initiator.

    Abstract: A selectable detent assembly that has a housing with a plurality of passageways. Within the housing is a selector spool that is disposed within a selector passageway and is rotatable to provide a plurality of rotational positions including a no detent position, a kick down position, and a continuous detent position. A pilot check valve is disposed within the housing and provides a fluid flow path from a pilot passageway to the selector passageway and a detent passageway. A detent arming piston is disposed within the detent passageway and is connected to a directional control valve spool. Thus, depending on the rotational position of the selector spool, the selector spool can either provide a continuous flow path through the selector passageway to a tank, a flow path that is controlled by the axial position of the selector spool or prevent flow to the tank in order to operate the detent arming piston.

The method includes providing an operational device with a control unit and a vibration sensor having a three axis accelerometer, a digital signal processor, and a communications transceiver. The digital signal processor takes the raw vibration data for each axis of the three axis accelerometer and applies a weighting function to the vibration data for each individual axis. Then stress level data associated with the vehicle operator is used to calculate the instantaneous contributions of the filtered data to the stress level data of the operator to determine instantaneous stress level data that has accumulated over a fixed time interval. After the fixed time interval, the digital signal processor calculates an increase of the stress level of the operator during the time interval to create stress data that is transmitted through a communications transceiver for display.
