  • Patent number: 11866623
Abstract: A conductive polymer composite for adhesion to a flexible substrate contains a polymer adhesive containing a curable polymer and a curing agent; and a conductive filler containing a metal and a carbonaceous material dispersed in the polymer adhesive. The conductive polymer composite is suitable for application to not only the human body but also other objects having irregular surface. In addition, due to enhanced adhesive strength of the conductive polymer composite to the flexible substrate, the reduction in conductivity or conductivity breakdown caused by external stress can be prevented and flexibility and stretchability can be improved.

  • Patent number: 11866775
Abstract: The present method of detection involves increasing an amount of analyte molecules by an isothermal molecular amplification approach. In the present approach a starting molecule of interest may be amplified through a reaction it induces with specifically engineered and functionalized particles, namely protected particles A and storage particles B. This reaction may result in a set of output DNA molecules that is larger in number than the input DNA molecules. Thus the reaction between nanoparticles for amplification of a certain DNA sequence (input DNA molecules) may occur when there is a match with a targeted molecule (stored molecules on storage particles B) and if the DNA sequence of the input DNA molecules does not match (partially or completely) the targeted molecule the reaction may not occur. Without a certain molecular input of the input DNA molecule the reaction may not occur.

  • Patent number: 11866204
Abstract: A thermal control system may transfer energy (directly or after a delay) to a thrusting device that can be used to slow a reentry vehicle entering a gaseous atmosphere from orbit. The thermal control system may mitigate the heating of the vehicle by transferring heat generated by the viscous interaction between the vehicle and high-altitude portions of a planetary atmosphere to a working fluid. This working fluid may then be routed through and/or ejected through one or more nozzles aligned to produce thrust in a direction that opposes the forward motion of this vehicle. This counter thrust may help to slow the reentry vehicle and reduce the amount of kinetic energy that can be converted into thermal energy. The working fluid may also be stored to use for propulsion after the reentry vehicle slows below hypersonic velocities.

  • Patent number: 11866732
Abstract: Methods provided by the present disclosure utilize extracorporeal shockwaves, mechanical impacts and/or principles of lithotripsy to break up a tissue sample into smaller fragments—clusters of cells and/or single cells—after which a desired cellular fraction can be isolated from the sample. Devices provided by the present disclosure deploy focused and/or directed shockwaves, and/or focused and directed mechanical impacts, to break apart a tissue sample. The devices maintain the sample in a sterile, closed environment during exposure to the shockwaves or mechanical impacts. Therefore, the shockwaves and/or mechanical impacts are generated outside of a closed device and are transmitted through one or more walls of the device into its interior, where the sample is located.
