Abstract: A power converter capable of improving converter's efficiency and achieving zero-voltage-switching is provided, in which a first series circuit is connected in parallel with a direct current (DC) power supply and has a first inductor, a first primary winding, first and second switching elements connected in series. A second series circuit is connected in parallel with the DC power supply and has third and fourth switching elements, a first capacitor, a second primary winding and a second inductor connected in series. A second capacitor is connected between a first node between the first primary winding and the first switching element in the first series circuit and a second node between the fourth switching element and the second primary winding in the second series circuit. A third node between the first and second switching elements is connected to a fourth node within the second series circuit.

Abstract: An angle sensing system for sensing a rotating angle of a steering wheel includes a sensing unit, a processing unit, and a storage unit. The sensing unit detects the rotating angle of a steering column connected to the steering wheel and outputting a sensing signal based on the rotating angle. When the steering column rotates for a circle, the sensing signal presents a non-continuous status. The processing unit calculates the relative angle in a single loop of the steering column based on the sensing signal and the number of loops according to the number of the non-continuous status. The storage unit stores the information of the relative angle and the number of loops. Based on the number of loops and the relative angle, the rotating angle of the steering wheel is detected.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an intermittently opened cracking crude oil apparatus comprising a high pressure container (1), a support post (2) and a gold sleeve (3). A sealed reaction chamber of natural gas (4) is formed between an exterior surface of the support post and an interior surface of the gold sleeve, and a sealed high pressure chamber (5) is formed between an interior surface of the high pressure container and an exterior surface of the gold sleeve. Abstract: The present invention relates to an effective fraction of alkaloids and the effective fraction is prepared from mulberry twig and its active ingredients are a composition of alkaloids. Determined by HPLC, the percentage of the total alkaloids are 50% or more by weight in the effective fraction and the percentage of the compound 1-deoxynojirimycin is 30% or more by weight in the total alkaloids. The effective fraction of the invention is prepared as the following steps: the mulberry twig is extracted by solvents, and the extract is precipitated by alcohol precipitation or flocculation to remove the impurities, and then concentrated, purified by resin chromatography. The present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing the said effective fraction of alkaloids and to the use of the effective fraction of alkaloids according to claim 1-4 in preparing hypoglycemic agents.

Abstract: A gamma ray detector for detecting a gamma ray emitted from a target of measurement includes: an organic scintillator for detecting Compton electrons resulting from a gamma ray emitted from the target of measurement; an inorganic scintillator for detecting a Compton gamma ray; and photodetector modules for detecting light generation in the corresponding scintillators. Abstract: Porous polymeric articles, and more specifically, porous polymeric articles for tissue engineering and organ replacement, are described. In some embodiments, methods described herein include use of a polymer-solvent system (e.g., phase inversion) to generate porosity in a structure. The process may include formation of a structure precursor material including a first crosslinkable component and a second component that can be precipitated in a precipitation medium. The structure precursor material may be shaped into a three-dimensional shape by a suitable technique such as three-dimensional printing. Upon shaping of the structure precursor material, at least a portion of the first component may be crosslinked. The structure may then be contacted with a precipitation medium to remove the precursor solvent from the structure, which can cause the second polymer component to precipitate and form a porous structure containing a network of uniform pores.
