Abstract: The preparation and properties of crystalline polymorphs and solvates of 1-benzyl-8-methyl-1,4,8-triazaspiro-[4.5]-decan-2-one free base and of the mono- and dihydrochloride salts and solvates thereof are disclosed, as is an amorphous polymorph of the dihydrochloride. A pharmaceutical composition containing one or more polymorphs and a method of using that composition are also disclosed.

Abstract: There is provided a structure of a nano memory system. The disclosed unit nano memory cell comprises a single isolated nanoparticle placed on the surface of a semiconductor substrate (301) and an adjacent nano-Schottky contact (303). The nanoparticle works as a storage site where the nano-Schottky contact (303) works as a source or a drain of electrons, in or out of the semiconductor substrate (301), at a relatively small voltage. The electric current through the nano-Schottky contact (303) can be turned on (reading 1) or off (reading 0) by charging or discharging the nanoparticle. Since the electric contact is made by a nano-Scottky contact (303) on the surface and the back contact of the substrate (301), and the charge is stored in a very small nanoparticle, this allows to attain the ultimate device down-scaling. This would also significantly increase the number of nano memory cells on a chip.

Abstract: There is provided a method of treating a patient, comprising: delivering a self-expandable transcatheter heart valve (THV) over a guidewire in a contracted state and within a sheath to a first anatomical location within a heart of the patient, moving the THV relative to the sheath for partially self-expanding a portion of the THV within the first anatomical location, wherein a portion of the THV in the sheath remains in the contracted state and the THV is partially self-expanded, and refraining from moving the partially self-expanded THV, relative to the aortic annulus of the heart.
Abstract: A high resolution fluorescence imaging device includes a light guide plate having a fluid channel which allows a solution containing a fluorescent sample to pass; a light source disposed on a side of the light guide plate to irradiate light inward the light guide plate; an image sensor disposed under the light guide plate; and a thin film interposed between the light guide plate and the image sensor, wherein the thin film has a first surface having a plurality of pillars and a second surface, the pillars separate the light guide plate and the image sensor apart from each other, and the second surface is bonded to the light guide plate. According to an embodiment, since the light guide plate acts in place of a filter element, it is possible to manufacture in ultrasmall size and achieve multiple fluorescence imaging without replacing a filter.

Abstract: The present invention provides: a multilayer film structure which has high crystallinity and planarity; and a method for producing this multilayer film structure. This multilayer film structure is provided with: an Si (111) substrate; a first thin film that is arranged on the Si (111) substrate, while being formed of a nitride material and/or aluminum; and a second thin film that is arranged on the first thin film, while being formed of a nitride material. Abstract: Disclosed is a device for angling a multi-well plate during shaking on a typical low speed laboratory incubator-shaker to facilitate cell growth. An assembly with a holder for a deep-well multi-well plate to attach it to a base has an adjustable-angle joint. The base is attached to a conventional incubator shaker tray via screws or a sticky pad. The adjustable-angle joint allows maintaining the desired angle of the plate, even at full shaking speed.
