    Abstract: Provided are a protein L-derived immunoglobulin binding protein having an increased antibody dissociation rate under acidic conditions, and an affinity support using the same. Disclosed are an immunoglobulin binding protein comprising at least one mutant of an immunoglobulin binding domain, and an affinity support comprising a solid-phase support having the immunoglobulin binding protein bound thereto. A mutant of the immunoglobulin binding domain consists of an amino acid sequence having an identity of at least 85% with the sequence set forth in any one of SEQ ID NO:1 to SEQ ID NO:9 and a predetermined mutation, and the mutant has immunoglobulin ? chain binding activity.

    Abstract: Provided herein are a kit and method for detecting mutations in CTNNB1, and their use in detection and management of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The kit comprises a first pair of primers, configured to specifically bind sequences flanking the genomic region for amplifying the genomic region in a first PCR reaction; and at least one clamp, each configured to bind to one first allele but not any second allele at an annealing temperature in the first PCR reaction to thereby selectively suppress amplification of the one first allele but still allow amplification of other second allele(s). A method for detecting or monitoring recurrence of HCC is further disclosed, which comprises determining levels of five DNA markers, including CTNNB1 mutations, hTERT mutations, TP53 mutations, RASSF1A methylation, and GSTP1 methylation.

The shell body includes a thickener pool wall, a cone body, and a collection cylinder. The dilution flocculation system includes a feed pipe, a flocculant charging pipe, and a central feed well. The shearing dewatering system includes a drive motor, a drive shaft, and a rake. The underflow circulatory system includes discharging valves, underflow pumps, circulatory pipes, and a concentration meter. The auto-control system includes a PLC control system. During the underground paste filling, the dilution flocculation system and shearing dewatering system can form a paste slurry. When there is no need for underground backfill, the underflow circulatory system is used to lower the underflow concentration rapidly.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure can provide an automated mass rearing system for insect larvae. The automated mass rearing system can facilitate hatching, feeding, monitoring the growth and emergence of insect larvae and pupae. In some embodiments, the automated mass rearing system can include a production unit, a transportation unit, a storage unit, a dispensing unit, and a monitoring unit. In some embodiments, this automated mass rearing system can facilitate mass mosquito growth from egg hatching all the way through to full adults or certain stages in between such as the larvae rearing process (i.e., from larvae to pupae) with little or no human intervention. By automating the rearing and transportation of insect eggs, larvae, and pupae, deaths or developmental issues can be minimized. Various techniques and apparatuses are used in this automation that causes minimal disturbance to the insects during development, and thereby maximizing survival rate and fitness of the insects.
