Abstract: Provided are a method for preparing a Nafion membrane having a through-pore free monolithic porous structure throughout the bulk of the membrane through a one-step process very easily and a Nafion membrane having a through-pore free monolithic porous structure obtained from the method. The Nafion membrane having such a porous structure may have an increased surface area, and thus may improve the membrane/catalyst interfacial area and transport characteristics.

Abstract: Methods and systems for suppressing shadowgraphic flow projection artifacts in OCT angiography images of a sample are disclosed. In one example approach, normalized OCT angiography data is analyzed at the level of individual A-scans to classify signals as either flow or projection artifact. This classification information is then used to suppress projection artifacts in the three dimensional OCT angiography dataset.
Abstract: A modular street lighting system comprising an attachment structure, power circuitry positioned, a support structure, and a lighting component comprising a body member comprising a light source housing section and a center component, the center component comprising a plurality of vertically-oriented heat dissipating structures, a circuit housing, circuitry, a rear attachment section, a lighting element in thermal communication, and an optic positioned within the light source housing section. The circuitry is configured to provide power for and control the operation of the lighting element. The lighting element is configured to emit light in the direction of the optic. The optic is configured to reflect light so as to be emitted by the lighting component. The plurality of heat dissipating structures are positioned in thermal communication with the back wall.

Abstract: A differential amplifier includes a pre-driver stage, an input balun, a matching network, a differential transistor pair, a bias network and an output balun. An output terminal of the pre-driver stage is connected to an input terminal of the input balun. An output terminal of the input balun is connected to the matching network. An output terminal of the matching network is connected to an input terminal of the differential transistor pair and to the bias network. A single-turn laminated transformer is used as the input balun of the present invention, and the output balun is of a structure having an inner full frame and an outer half frame, thereby making the differential amplifier have small occupation area, low loss, high operating frequency and high power amplification efficiency.

Abstract: An electrostatic levitation crystal growth apparatus for a solution and a crystal growing method using the same. The apparatus may include an upper electrode, a lower electrode vertically spaced apart from the upper electrode, a power supply unit configured to apply a vertical electrostatic field between the upper electrode and the lower electrode, and a droplet dispenser configured to eject a solution into a region between the upper and lower electrodes and thereby to form a solution droplet. The solution droplet may be maintained in a charged state and may be electrostatically levitated against the gravity exerted thereon, by the vertical electrostatic field. The solution droplet may be evaporated in the electrostatically levitated state, and a solute dissolved in the solution may be grown to form a crystal.

Abstract: The present invention improves the precision in observing cracks in rocks during a hydraulic fracturing test, improving a scientific understanding of the regular pattern of development cracks in of hydraulically fractured rocks. The technical solution includes: hydraulically fracturing the rock with aqueous solutions containing an interventional contrast-enhanced agent, forming hydraulically fractured cracks, wherein the difference in a mass attenuation coefficient ?/? of x-rays between the cracks and the rock is improved by the interventional contrast-enhanced agent in the cracks, moreover, the difference in mass energy absorption coefficient ?en/? of x-rays between the cracks and the rock is improved, then the linear attenuation coefficient of the reception of the detector is changed, improving the imaging resolution for hydraulically fractured cracks in the rock.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for transmitting a signal to multiple User Equipments (UEs) utilizing reciprocity of a wireless channel. In this method, a vector channel from the base station to each UE can be converted into an equivalent Single Input Single Output (SISO) channel having a strong Light-of-Sight (LOS) component using channel feedback. In this way, a reliable signal transmission to multiple UEs can be achieved with little channel training overhead. The present disclosure has prominent advantages such as simplicity in implementation, low processing complexity and very low channel training overhead and is particularly applicable in low-speed transmission of broadcast signaling in a massive MIMO system and scenarios where the base station is to page inactive UEs.
