    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to systems and methods for displaying and securing articles of merchandise. In one example, a merchandise security system includes a plurality of security devices, wherein each of the security devices includes a sensor configured to be attached to an article of merchandise. Each of the security devices further includes a base for removably supporting the sensor and the article of merchandise thereon. The system also includes a controller in communication with each of the security devices, wherein the controller is configured to communicate with a remote device to lock at least one of the security devices such that the article of merchandise and the sensor cannot be removed from the base.

The securing portion comprises a plurality of projections coupled to each other by one or more lateral braces. Each of the plurality of projections comprises a lateral extension that is configured to contact the support surface and engage a holder groove. Rotation of the securing portion relative to the holder moves each lateral extension of the plurality of projections into the holder channel and secures the securing portion to the holder.

Recovery of the first content verifies to the sender that the second transmission originated from the intended recipient. Thereafter, a third transmission is sent. The third transmission has data including at least the second content, being the remaining data after extraction of the first content from the combined result, which is encrypted with the public key of the intended recipient and a third digital signature for use in verifying non-tampering of the data.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed which can allow a mobile device, which is no longer being updated by the device manufacturer, to receive updates from the manufacturer. In an implementation, an international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) is received from the mobile device that identifies a model of the mobile device. The mobile device can have at least one application that is unable to communicate with a server of the mobile device's manufacturer. A provisioning server may determine that the mobile device is depreciated based upon the IMEI, and obtain a key unique to the mobile device. The key and at least one Access Point Name may be transmitted to the mobile device, which can allow the mobile device to direct its data traffic to the server of the manufacturer.
