Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for processing tokenization requests in-memory of an application server. Reliance on remote devices, such as hardware security modules, is reduced because functions associated with processing tokenization requests is performed at the application server instead of the remote devices. Applicant server includes a multi-level cache for storing and accessing data for generating, hashing, and encrypting tokens in response to tokenization requests received from client devices.

Abstract: A third party payment system allows a user to conduct transactions through payment accounts stored on the third party payment system. The user can enroll in the third party payment system and create an account with registered payment accounts. The user can access the payment accounts via a mobile device and load the payment data associated with a payment account to the mobile device. The user can then utilize the mobile device to provide payment during a transaction.

Abstract: The abrupt cessation or run-away of a combustion engine may damage the combustion engine and pose a safety hazard to the surrounding environment. The combustion engine operational mode may be controlled, regulated or maintained by regulating the combustion mixture of the combustion engine. The oxidizer flow, a material or both of the combustion mixture may be regulate to create or form a combustion material that is outside a combustible range such that the combustion engine is placed or maintained in a spin-down operational mode. The material added to the combustion mixture may include a combustible, non-combustible, oxidizer, or exhaust material. A brake may also provide a secondary mechanism to maintain or place the combustion engine in a spin-down mode.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments illustrate a method for real time management of transportation services. The method includes determining a discrete control process with respect to a plurality of states of a vehicle. Each state in the plurality of states corresponds to a station and a count of vacant seats in the vehicle at the station. A set of rules is generated to maximize a key performance parameter of the vehicle, based on at least the determined discrete control process. A valuation parameter is determined, in real time, for one or more vacant seats in the vehicle at each of one or more subsequent stations based on the generated set of rules. The determined valuation parameter for the one or more vacant seats corresponding to each of the one or more subsequent stations is transmitted to a plurality of mobile computing devices associated with a plurality of commuters.

Abstract: An illustrative domain-adaptive hydraulic fracturing simulator includes: a data acquisition module, a simulator module, and a visualization module. The data acquisition module acquires measurements of a subterranean formation undergoing a hydraulic fracturing operation. The simulator module provides a series of states for a model of the subterranean formation by: (a) constructing said model from the measurements, the model representing said current state throughout a modeled domain; (b) determining a core domain of influence within the modeled domain by identifying active fractures; (c) generating a linear set of equations to derive the subsequent state from the current state, the linear set of equations including fluid flow equations for the core domain of influence and excluding fluid flow equations for a region of the modeled domain outside the core domain of influence; and (d) deriving the subsequent state from the linear set of equations. The visualization module displays the series of states.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a method, apparatus, and computer program product for generating a cross-sensor standardization model. For example, one disclosed embodiment includes a system that includes at least one processor; at least one memory coupled to the at least one processor and storing instructions that when executed by the at least one processor performs operations comprising selecting a representative sensor from a group of sensors comprising at least one of same primary optical elements and similar synthetic optical responses and calibrating a cross-sensor standardization model based on a matched data pair for each sensor in the group of sensors and for the representative sensor. In one embodiment, the at least one memory coupled to the at least one processor and storing instructions that when executed by the at least one processor performs operations further comprises generating the matched data pair, wherein the matched data pair comprises calibration input data and calibration output data.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatus for using an audible signal to monitor conditions at a downhole location in a well through use of a well cable containing a fiber optic, which may be either a slickline or a wireline fiber-optic cable, and providing an audible signal which varies in response to the monitored condition. The condition monitored can be strain in the fiber optic well cable, which can be sensed in one or more locations in the fiber optic well cable, in many examples through use of a sensor such as a Bragg grating associated with or formed in an optical fiber within the well cable. In some examples, a temperature measurement may be used to compensate for temperature effects impacting the strain measurement.

Abstract: A tank fill control apparatus comprising: a tank-installed switch, including: a tubular body including an upper end, a lower end, and an annular mounting flange on an outer surface between the upper end and the lower end; a liquid level sensor including a detector, a float in and moveable along a length of the lower end and a rod connecting the float to the detector, the liquid level sensor configured to sense a liquid level relative to the lower end and further configured to generate a signal when at least a maximum selected liquid level is sensed; and a control unit in communication with the tank-installed switch including: a liquid level monitoring function for receiving the signal from the liquid level sensor; and a control function for generating at least one of (i) an alert signal indicating that the maximum selected liquid level is sensed and (ii) a valve control to modify a fill operation from a tank fill system.

Abstract: An Edge Compute Network (“ECN”) may provide compute devices with configurable compute resources at different network edges for selective localized and low latency execution of user-defined operations. A user may provide a set of operations in any of several supported programming languages, and the ECN may create an executable environment that can execute the set of operations using the compute resources of any ECN compute device. A function manager for a compute device may selectively initialize, based on requests to execute the set of operations and an initialization policy, the executable environment so that the set of operations can be directly executed using the compute resources of that compute device upon request. The function manager may also selectively remove initialized executable environments based on compute device resource utilization, executable environment usage, and a removal policy.

Abstract: A control system can include a resettable chamber and a bidirectional valve. The bidirectional valve can be switchable between (i) a first configuration for enabling fluid flow from the control line into a first port of a well tool and from a second port of the well tool into the resettable chamber, and (ii) a second configuration for enabling fluid flow from the control line into the second port of the well tool and from the first port of the well tool into the resettable chamber. The bidirectional valve can be switched from the first configuration to the second configuration in response to pressure being applied to the control line.

Abstract: A distributed computing environment comprises a plurality of distributed computer systems that execute a plurality of applications. At least one of the distributed computer systems executes a data flow software tool that identifies potential data flows between the applications and generates a GUI that shows at least one upstream application and/or at least one downstream application for a subject application. The data flow software tool receives, via the GUI, from the user, a first input for the at least one upstream application and/or a second input for the at least one downstream application. The first input comprises a verification that the at least one upstream application provides the incoming data flow to the subject application and the second input comprises a verification that the at least one downstream application receives the outgoing data flow from the subject application.

Abstract: A system for identifying a location of a device includes a first antenna mounted to a plug. The first antenna surrounds one or more prongs of the plug, and the plug has a memory that stores a device ID. A second antenna receives the device ID from the first antenna when the plug is coupled to a power outlet. A controller uses a communication module to wirelessly transfer the device ID and a power outlet ID to a computer server. The computer server uses the device ID and the power outlet ID to determine the location of the device within a building.

Abstract: A method and system for location a collar. A method for locating a collar may comprise disposing a logging tool within a plurality of concentric pipes in a wellbore, measuring one or more wellbore parameters, creating a corrosion detection tool log from the measuring one or more wellbore parameters, processing the corrosion detection tool log to determine a location and a position of a plurality of collars on the concentric pipes, and adjusting the corrosion detection tool log to account for the location and position of the plurality of collars. A system for locating a collar may comprise a conveyance line, a logging tool, and an information handling system. The information handling system may be capable to measure one or more wellbore parameters, create a corrosion detection tool log from the measuring one or more wellbore parameters, and document the location and the position of the plurality of collars.

Abstract: A skin effect heating system for long pipelines includes a heater cable disposed in a ferromagnetic or other conductive heat tube, the heater cable and heat tube cooperating to produce heat that is applied to the carrier pipe. The heater cable includes a conductor surrounded by an insulating layer, and then a semiconductive outer layer or “jacket.” The semiconductive jacket contacts the inner surface of the heat tube, where the charge density of the return current carried by the heat tube is at its highest. The semiconductive jacket material has a resistivity that is sufficiently low to reduce or eliminate arcing events such as corona discharge by allowing accumulated charge on the heat tube to dissipate. The resistivity is also high enough to prevent the return current from flowing into or through the semiconductive outer layer, so that heat production capacity of the system is maximized.
