Abstract: In a media automation system, a database server transmits a request to a traffic and billing system to identify both an advertisement for potential inclusion in a content block, and a first primary programming item to be scheduled adjacent to the advertisement in a broadcast log, i.e. a paired advertisement and primary programming item, and receives a message identifying the advertisement and the first primary programming item from the traffic and billing system in response to that request. The database server responds to the message from the traffic and billing system by inserting the advertisement into the broadcast log adjacent to the first primary programming item, transmitting a signal notifying the traffic and billing system that the advertisement and the first primary programming item have been inserted into the broadcast log, and delivering the broadcast log to a media server.

Abstract: A device may receive image data representing a document, the document including: text, and edges. Based on the edges, the device may identify, a segment of interest within the image data and crop the segment of interest to obtain a portion of the image data. In addition, the device may perform optical character recognition on the portion of the image data, the optical character recognition producing recognized text. The device may obtain, based on the recognized text, validation data that includes verification text, and determine whether the recognized text is verified based on the verification text. Based on a result of the determination, the device may perform an action.

Abstract: Computer-implemented methods and systems are provided for blockchain-mediated user authentication. Consistent with disclosed embodiments, authentication may comprise operations including receiving, from a user system, an authentication request for a user. The operations may also include determining a root system for the user using a blockchain, and redirecting the user system to the root system. The operations may include receiving, following redirection, a verification message indicating that the root system successfully authenticated the user, and including an authorization code for receiving, from the root system, a root system secret. The operations may include receiving from a database, identification data using the root system secret. Determining the root system may comprise identifying, using the authentication request and index information stored in the blockchain, a block of the blockchain storing root system information for the user.

Abstract: An application provider device receives, from an online application store, a first online request to provide a first application associated with a first market brand, and a first configuration parameter associated with the first market brand. The first configuration parameter includes information identifying a first information source associated with the first market brand, and first visual elements associated with the first market brand. An unconfigured application is obtained from a codebase. The application is configurable for use with multiple different market brands, and further configurable to use a default information source for obtaining media items. The unconfigured application is customized, based on the first configuration parameter, to generate the requested application by pre-configuring the unconfigured application with the first information source as the default information source, and with the first visual elements.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing rewards to a user are provided. Providing rewards to the user may include receiving transaction data associated with a user's purchase, determining a merchant and a category associated with the transaction data, and assigning the transaction data to a merchant icon or a badge icon in a graphical user interface. The merchant icon or the badge icon may comprise a progress bar that indicates the user's progress in reaching a milestone associated with the icon. Based on the transaction data, a number of loyalty points of a number of transaction points may be assigned to the merchant icon or the badge icon, respectively. Further, based on whether a total number of loyalty points exceeds a first threshold or a total number of transaction points exceeds a second threshold, a reward may be generated to the user when the first or second threshold is exceeded.

More specifically, a downhole assembly comprising a plug section, which itself comprises a top sub, a bottom sub, a slip, and an elastomeric element. The downhole assembly further comprises a power section comprising a body comprising a power charge and one or more ignitors, a firing head, a shearing pin, and a setting tool piston. Additionally, the downhole assembly comprises a check valve, wherein the check valve is positioned downhole from the power charge and inside the setting tool piston; a mandrel comprising a hydraulic chamber and a ball, wherein the mandrel is positioned inside and adjacent to the setting tool piston and the top sub; and a dog.

Abstract: This disclosure may generally relate to perforating operations and, more particularly, may generally relate to systems and methods for estimating perforated entry and exit hole diameters (EHD) of a casing string. In one embodiment, a method for predicting perforation outcomes may comprise selecting one or more variables for a perforating operation, determining an estimate of a perforating outcome for the perforating operation, and correcting the perforating outcome to obtain a corrected perforating outcome by applying a weighting based on historical perforating data.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining a master broadcast log and multiple station broadcast logs. The master log includes: a master voice track slot; a master prior slot adjacent to and preceding the master voice track slot; and a master subsequent slot adjacent to and following the master voice track slot. The station broadcast logs include corresponding voice tracks, preceding slots, and subsequent slots. Prior and subsequent slots specify media items. One, but not both, of the media items in the prior and subsequent slots of a first station log match corresponding slots in the master log. A partial-match indicator is generated. Media items in both the prior and subsequent slots of a second station log match corresponding slots in the master log. A full-match indicator is generated. A graphical user interface displays the partial-match indicator and the full-match indicator in different display areas.

Abstract: A system may include an aggregate model comprising a plurality of modules, a monitoring dashboard in communication with the aggregate model, and a search-marketing campaign manager in communication with the aggregate model, the monitoring dashboard, and a search engine entity. Additionally, the system may include a bidding interface in communication with the aggregate model and a search engine entity and/or a monitoring dashboard configured to generate model adjustment data. The search-marketing campaign manager may be configured to determine trend data, measured marketing indicators, or both, from one or more of marketing data or historical data.

Abstract: An ad simulator having at least in-browser simulation capabilities is provided. In examples, the ad simulator may be a web browser extension, which a media developer, designer, etc. may use for ad display simulation. The browser extension may locate existing display ads on a webpage, one or more of which can be selected to be replaced with a new ad. A HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) request may be made to an ad template rendering engine that returns a HyperText Markup Language (HTML) of a new ad personalized and targeted to a customer. The browser extension may then replace the existing ad with the new ad.

Abstract: Techniques to pre-authenticate an identity for an electronic account are described and claimed by the present disclosure. The electronic account may enforce a multi-factor authentication procedure that involves a number of steps. In addition to the electronic account, a user may have other accounts requiring authentications. Successful authentications with respect to those other accounts may provide evidence of the user's identity. If sufficient evidence is present, one or more steps of the multi-factor authentication procedure may be bypassed. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A system for recommending personalized rewards based on customer profiles and customer preferences includes one or more processors configured to access customer parameters associated with the first customer and customer parameters associated with a plurality of second customers from a database. The values of customer parameters of the first customer are compared with the values of the customer parameters of the plurality of second customers to identify of the plurality of second customers having customer parameter values that correspond to the customer parameter values associated with the first customer. A list of reward purchase categories is determined based on analyzing customer profiles associated with the identified plurality of second customers. Personalized rewards associated with the selected one or more reward categories are transmitted to the user device associated with the first customer, the personalized rewards to accrue based on consumer purchase transactions by the first customer.

Abstract: A method of preventing unauthorized access to electronic mail attachment is disclosed herein. A message management system receives one or more files designated as sensitive files. The message management system generates one or more hash values by applying a hash function to each of the one or more images corresponding to the file. The message management system stores the one or more hash values in a database. The message management system receives an outgoing electronic message that includes an attached file. The message management system generates one or more attachment hash values for the attached file by applying the hash function to the attached file. The message management system compares the one or more attachment hash values to the database. The message management system determines that at least one attachment hash value matches at least one hash value. The message management system blocks the outgoing electronic message.

Abstract: A rotary steerable tool for directional drilling includes a tool body including a flowbore for flowing pressurized fluid therethrough and a plurality of extendable members movably coupled to the tool body for selectively engaging a borehole wall, each extendable member including a piston for moving the extend-able member to an extended position. The tool further includes a pressurized fluid supply flow path to provide fluid pressure from the flowbore to the pistons, and a plurality of linear actuators, each independently actuatable to control fluid pressure from the pressurized fluid supply flow path to a respective piston.

Abstract: Performance of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) for robustness against real world noises and channel distortions is critical. Embodiments herein provide method and system for generating synthetic multi-conditioned data sets for additive noise and channel distortion for training multi-conditioned acoustic models for robust ASR. The method provides a generative noise model generating plurality of types of noise signals for additive noise based on weighted linear combination of plurality of noise basis signals and channel distortion based on estimated channel responses. The generative noise model is a parametric model, wherein basis function selection, number of basis functions to be combined linearly and weightages to be applied to the combinations is tunable, thereby enabling generation of wide variety of noise signals. Further, the noise signals are added to set of training speech utterances under set of constraints providing the multi-conditioned data sets, imitating real world effects.
