  • Patent number: 10628801
Abstract: A system for smart alerts in a batch system for an IT enterprise. The method includes alert configuration by identifying recent steady state of a batch job and deriving schedules for the steady state. The normal behaviour is then computed within the schedules. The method further includes aggregating the one or more alerts by identifying correlated group of alerts by pruning of one or more jobs and alerts, detecting correlations between the two or more alerts and deriving causality of the grouped alerts. The method finally includes predicting of future alerts of a batch job.

  • Patent number: 10628437
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods of managing normally independent or unassociated business artifacts using an integrated business artifact management system (IBAMS) to deliver a cohesive, linked, and traceable network of related and integrated artifacts that supports improved business knowledge and impact analysis. A disclosed IBAMS includes a collection of integrated business artifacts stored in a memory of the IBAMS and a plurality of links, each associated with a respective data island of a plurality of data islands. Each link includes a set of instructions that, when executed by a processor of the IBAMS, cause the processor to: receive business artifacts from the respective data island; generate representations that are abstractions of the business artifacts received from the respective data island; and store and integrate the representations in the collection of integrated business artifacts.

  • Patent number: 10630811
Abstract: Efficient, reusable, extensible light weight framework orchestrates discrete mainframe service calls as a single composite service call. The single composite call requires a single mainframe socket and the mainframe disaggregates the composite service call upon receipt to process the individual service calls therein, thereby allowing the mainframe to handle more services calls simultaneously. A similar framework orchestrates distributed service calls from a mainframe client.

  • Patent number: 10626702
Abstract: A sand control screen assembly includes a base pipe and a flow control device positioned within a flow path for a fluid that extends between the exterior and the interior of the base pipe. The flow control device includes a housing defining an inlet that receives the fluid from the flow path and an outlet that discharges the fluid back into the flow path, and a piston chamber is defined in the housing to fluidly communicate the inlet with the outlet. A pressure-balanced piston is positioned within the piston chamber and movable between a first position, where fluid flow between the inlet and the outlet is prevented, and a second position, where fluid flow between the inlet and the outlet is facilitated. An actuator moves the pressure-balanced piston between the closed and open positions, and an electronics module is communicably coupled to the flow control device to operate the actuator.

  • Patent number: 10628253
Abstract: Remote sensing techniques are being increasingly used for periodic structural health monitoring of vast infrastructures. Conventionally, analysis of visual and other signals captured from sensing devices are used to diagnose faults. Such data collection and analysis is expensive in terms of both computational overheads as well as towards robotic maneuvering of data collection systems, such as a UAV. In accordance with the present disclosure, the data acquisition system is modeled as an intelligent situated agent that autonomously controls data gathering and analysis activities through a cognitive cycle of perception-recognition-action, in order to optimize the cost of efforts in identifying faults that may exist. Also, a reactive, economical planning algorithm around Qualitative Bayesian Network (QBN) that controls the sequence of data collection and analysis has been implemented.

  • Patent number: 10627463
Abstract: Apparatus and method that are more efficient and flexible, and obtain and connect high-power RF transmit signals (TX) to RF-coil devices in an MR machine or other devices and simultaneously receive signals (RX) and separate net receive signals NRX) of interest by subtracting or filtering to remove the subtractable portion of the transmit signal (STX) from the RX and preamplifying the NRX and signal processing the preamplified NRX. In some embodiments, signal processing further removes artifacts of the transmitted signal, e.g., by digitizing the NRX signal, storing the digitized NRX signal in a memory, and performing digital signal processing. In some embodiments, the present invention also includes pre-distorting the TX signals in order to be better able to identify and/or remove the remaining artifacts of the transmitted signal from the NRX signal. This solution also applies to other high-power RF-transmit-antennae signals.

  • Patent number: 10628674
Abstract: Techniques are described for capturing an image of a document or other type of physical object, and presenting the image in a user interface (UI) with an overlay that includes context information regarding the document or other physical object in the image. An application running on a portable computing device receives an image of the document that is captured using a camera of the device. The application may perform an initial analysis to identify one or more data elements present in the document, such as certain words, phrases, paragraphs, and so forth. The data elements can be uploaded to a remote service that analyzes the data elements and returns context data which is presented as an overlay to the image of the document. The context data can then be presented in an overlay to the presented image of the physical object.

  • Patent number: 10628807
Abstract: One embodiment of the invention is directed to a method for allocating and tracking funds to connected devices to enable the connected devices to perform transactions independently. The method may comprise, receiving, at a management computer, an input amount. The input amount may be associated with a first data store. The management computer may allocate one or more segments of the input amount to one or more corresponding connected devices. The management computer may associate the one or more segments with a second data store. In at least one example, the individual segment allocated to a connected device enables the connected device to conduct a transaction. The management computer may provide the allocated segment to the connected device. Later, the management computer may receive a residual segment amount from the device and may deallocate some portion of the segment amount from the device based on the residual segment amount.

  • Patent number: 10628825
Abstract: A system and method including a mobile application installed on a mobile device and configured to authenticate a merchant represented by a unique identifier, determine a position of the mobile device while the mobile device is co-located with a transaction terminal of the merchant, communicate the position to a portal to associate the position with the unique identifier and to receive an account number, and provide the account number to generate an authorization request on the transaction terminal. The authorization request includes a terminal identifier of the transaction terminal. When the authorization request generated using the account number is detected, the association between the account number provided to the mobile application and the location received from the mobile application is replaced with the association between the terminal identifier extracted from the authorization request and the location.
