  • Patent number: 10631516
Abstract: The present invention relates to new methods of selecting and breeding organisms, in particular organisms which exhibit symbiotic behaviour with symbionts, and to new organisms and symbiota developed thereby, such as plant or grass and endophyte symbiota. Multiple symbionts are deployed in multiple organisms and selected for improved symbiotic compatibility and performance early in the breeding process. Methods include producing improved organisms from germplasm, by inoculating host organism germplasm libraries with symbionts selected from symbiont libraries and selecting improved host organisms exhibiting desired symbiota characteristics, and selection of organism-symbiont associations with a desired genetic and metabolic profile by metagenomic analysis of nucleic acid libraries from an organism or organism-symbiont association.

  • Patent number: 10633941
Abstract: Monitoring drill cuttings suspended within a drilling fluid with one or more cuttings detection devices as the drill cuttings traverse one or more shaker screens of a shaker. Drill cuttings data of the drill cuttings is then generated with the one or more cuttings detection devices. Analyzing and processing the drill cuttings data with one or more processors included in a data acquisition system and thereby generating processed drill cuttings data. The processed drill cuttings data is indicative of at least one of a cuttings size distribution and a density of the drill cuttings. • Patent number: 10633949
Abstract: A diverter assembly includes a tubing segment and one or more sleeve members disposed therein. The tubing segment includes apertures that are selectively alignable with apertures of an inner sleeve disposed within the tubing segment. The tubing segment includes a series of stops (e.g., shear pins) to arrest movement of the first sleeve within the bore of the tubing segment. A first one or more ball seats are included in the first sleeve such that deployment of a first ball and pressurization of the well above the first ball causes a first set of shear pins to fail, thereby allowing the first sleeve to slide downhole to cause apertures of the sleeve to align with apertures of the tubing segment, thereby causing fluid to flow to an annulus between the tubing segment and wellbore wall.

  • Patent number: 10633948
Abstract: A differential fill valve assembly for application in float collars or shoes in a well casing can provide a mechanism for releasing a flapper valve by advancing and activating sleeve of the valve assembly. The valve assembly includes a backpressure flapper valve and an activating sleeve slidably disposed within a housing. The activating sleeve initially maintains the flapper valve in an open position. The activating sleeve provides at least one ramp on an inner surface thereof. Fluid flow through the activating sleeve generates a pressure differential, across the activating sleeve that produces a net force on the activating sleeve to drive the activating sleeve downward, releasing the backpressure flapper valve.

  • Patent number: 10636176
Abstract: Textual overlays/labels add contextual information in Augmented Reality (AR) applications. The spatial placement of labels is a challenging task particularly for real time videos. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for optimal placement of contextual information for Augmented Reality (AR) applications to overcome the limitations of occlusion with object/scene of interest through optimally placing labels aiding better interpretation of scene. This is achieved by combining saliency maps computed for each frame of an input video with Euclidean distance between current and previous overall positions for each frame based on an initial overlay position of the label to calculate an updated overlay position for label placement in the video. The placement of overlays is formulated as an objective function that minimizes visual saliency around the object of interest and minimizes the temporal jitter facilitating coherence in real-time AR applications.

  • Patent number: 10635437
Abstract: Techniques are described to automate deployment of an application as a cloud computing service. Such deployment may be accomplished on any underlying host infrastructure. As mentioned above, a typical application may engage in a number of build and deployment processes in order to run on a host computer with an infrastructure type. The techniques described herein may leverage an artificial intelligence computation library to identify which build and deployment processes are required by the application. Once identified, the user may select a host infrastructure type and create a container package with a runtime machine and components configure to run these build and deployment processes for that host infrastructure type. The container package may be used to generate an image from which the host computer can run the application as the cloud computing service. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 10635898
Abstract: Described herein is a system for automatically capturing images. A device may execute an application on the device. In response to receiving a request for capturing an image of a document, the application may control the operation of the camera to contemporaneously and continuously capture image frames of an area within the field of view of a camera of the device. The field of view may include an object and in turn may be included in the captured image frames. The application may determine whether the aspect ratio and real-world size of the object in the captured image frames corresponds with a specified threshold size and aspect ratio which corresponds with a given document type. In response to determining the object corresponds to the given document type, the camera may automatically extract an image of the object.
