Abstract: A device for seamlessly distributing a media stream from different ingest devices of a delivery platform. The device fails over from a first ingest device to a second ingest device in response to one or more errors from attempts to retrieve parts of the media stream from the first ingest device prior to any signaling or messaging (e.g., an unpublish event) from the first ingest device indicating that the media stream has ended, is no longer available, or is otherwise removed from the first ingest device. The device also produces manifests identifying two or more bitrates for a media stream when each of the two or more bitrates is uploaded to and ingested by a different ingest device of the delivery platform.

Abstract: A barrel is provided having open proximal end and a closed distal end, and at least one groove in an interior wall thereof. The groove(s) define a length extending a distance from the open end of the barrel toward the distal end of the barrel and defining a substantially constant depth and width along the length thereof. A piston is in sealing engagement with the interior wall of the barrel. The groove(s) permits fluid to bypass the piston when positioned along the groove(s). At least a portion of the piston is positioned distally from the groove(s), thereby sealing substance within the barrel.

Abstract: A method of treating in a subterranean formation including placing a corrosion inhibitor composition into a subterranean formation, where the formation includes an acidic environment having a pH of about 5 or below, where the composition includes: an organic solvent comprising an alcohol with a flash point of at least about 75° C.; a nitrogen containing compound; an aqueous acid solution comprising HCl; and contacting a metal surface with the corrosion inhibitor composition. Abstract: A method for optimizing network parameters of a network includes receiving, via a network probe in communication with the network, a service type, key performance indicators associated with the service type, and network parameter information of the network. A customer satisfaction score associated with the service type and the associated key performance indicators is determined. When the customer satisfaction score is determined to be below a threshold, one or more network parameters leading to the customer satisfaction score being below the threshold are determined from the network parameter information. The one or more network parameters are adjusted, via a network configuration interface in communication with the network, to thereby increase the customer satisfaction score.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining a cure state of cement in a wellbore. A drill device can be used to drill cement in a wellbore. Contact between the drill device and the cement can cause friction or heat, which can produce a gas. A gas detector can be positioned near a wellbore for detecting an amount of gas and a type of gas produced by contact between the drill device and the cement in the wellbore. The cure state of cement in the wellbore can be determined based on the amount of gas and the type of gas detected.

Abstract: A system estimates quality of a digital image by accessing a corpus of digital images of one or more subjects, such as a facet of a property. The system will receive, for at least a subset of the corpus, an indicator that one or more patches of each image in the subset is out of focus. The system will train a classifier by obtaining a feature representation of each pixel in each image, along with a focus value that represents an extent to which each pixel in the image is in focus or out of focus. The system will use the classifier to analyze pixels of a new digital image and assess whether each analyzed pixel in the new digital image is in focus or out of focus. The system may use the image to assess whether an incident occurred, such as storm-related damage to the property.

Abstract: A wireless device is enabled to provide offers. The wireless device receives card data for a financial account card and stores the card data in a memory associated with the wireless device. Responsive to using the card data in a transaction at a first merchant location, the wireless device receives transaction line-item data from a computing system associated with the first merchant location. The wireless device determines merchant information for a second merchant location and determines an offer associated with the second merchant location based on the line-item data and the merchant information for the second merchant. The wireless device presents the offer when the wireless device is near the second merchant location.

The device may obtain a workflow including a sequence of content items for visually inspecting the object using the extended reality capabilities of the device. The device may render digital content associated with the workflow using the extended reality capabilities of the device.

Abstract: Methods for treating a tumor, such as a benign or malignant tumor, are disclosed herein. The methods include administering a therapeutically effective amount of a small molecule that selectively binds to and stabilizes G-quadruplex DNA in the promoter of the c-MYC gene to the subject. The methods are also of use to decrease the size and/or number of metastases. Compounds for use in the disclosed methods are also provided.

In order to generate the access rules, the resource security system may select certain access request parameters and determine conditions associated with those parameters. The resource security system may generate independent access rules based on the segments. The resource security system may then evaluate the performance of each of the access rules based on validity information corresponding to previously received access requests that satisfy the conditions of a particular access rule.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide systems, methods, and techniques for managing merchandising cards. A merchandising card may be, for example, a gift card, loyalty card, or the like. Consistent disclosed embodiments, a system for managing merchandising cards may include one or more memory devices storing instructions and one or more processors configured to acquire, from a device over a network, a plurality of locations associated with the device, the device locations being acquired at different instances in time within a predetermined period of time. Additionally, the processor may be configured to calculate a merchant confidence rating for a merchant using the device locations. Further, the one or more processors may be configured to, based on the merchant confidence rating, determine that the merchant matches a merchant that is associated with merchandising card, and send a reminder a user of the device.
