Abstract: A system and method for automated regulatory compliance checking for organizations is disclosed. The present subject matter discloses a method for generating queries to extract relevant data from an organization that with respect to the regulatory rules and subsequently performing automated compliance checking for the organization. In an embodiment, the system captures regulatory rules provided by a regulatory body for an organization and extracts logical specification of rules from the semantic model in DR-Prolog language. The system further extracts a conceptual data model from the semantic model and obtains mapping between the conceptual data model and plurality of physical database. The system generates queries and translated the queries on to physical database schema to extract relevant data from the organization. The extracted data is transformed into ground facts in DR-Prolog and compared with logical specification of rules to perform automated regulatory compliance checking.

Abstract: Described herein are dose escalation regimens for the administration of complexes comprising interleukin-15 (“IL-15”) covalently or noncovalently bound to IL-15 receptor alpha (“IL-15R?”) to patients in order to enhance IL-15-mediated immune function. In a specific aspect, the dose escalation regimens are useful in the prevention, treatment, and/or management of disorders in which enhancing IL-15-mediated function is beneficial, such as cancer, infectious diseases, immunodeficiencies and lymphopenia. In another specific aspect, the dose escalation regimens are useful for eradicating or reducing HIV in HIV-infected patients.

Abstract: Certain aspects are directed to capturing data regarding physical states associated with a perforating string. In one aspect, a sensing tool is provided. The sensing tool includes at least one sensor and a processor positioned in an isolated chamber of the sensing tool. The processor samples data from the sensor at a first sampling rate associated with the deployment of a perforating string. The data is associated with at least one parameter with respect to the perforating string. The processor detects a trigger condition associated with a perforation operation of the perforating string. The processor switches to a second sampling rate in response to detecting the trigger condition. The second sampling rate is greater than the first sampling rate and is associated with the perforation operation. The processor samples data at the second sampling rate for a period of time in which the perforation operation is at least partially performed.

Abstract: In accordance with presently disclosed embodiments, a collapsible and optionally stackable storage container for bulk material is provided. The disclosed storage container includes a collapsible frame defined by a rigid upper support structure, a rigid lower support structure and a support member coupled at one end to the upper support structure and coupled at another end to the lower support structure. An actuator is also provided which is coupled to the support member at one end. The disclosed storage container further includes a storage sack having an upper portion coupled to the upper support structure and a lower portion coupled to the lower support structure. The lower portion of the storage sack is generally taper-shaped and may be equipped with a discharge opening that enables release of the bulk material onto a conveyor, which may be employed when the collapsible storage container is integrated into a bulk storage system.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to a dynamic, flexible acronym decoder. A user may submit a query via one of a plurality of user interfaces. Information describing the user may be received to generate a context vector for the user. The query may be processed against a database of terms using the context vector, a machine learning model, and content tags applied to terms in the database. Processing the queries against the database may return a result set, and the ML model may be used to compute a score for each result. The results may be ordered based on the scores and returned as responsive to the query.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for manufacturing a transaction card. The disclosed methods and apparatuses may be used to form a transaction card frame within a mold. The transaction card frame may include one or more recessed portions formed within a first surface of the transaction card frame. The one or more recessed portions may be configured for affixing one or more electronic components.

Abstract: A computer-implemented linking system and method provide for linking actionable phrases in a first document to other documents in a document corpus. The method includes identifying at least one actionable phrase in a first document. The actionable phrase may include an action, its direct object, and any modifier of the direct object. For each identified action phrase the document corpus is searched to identify other documents, which are scored using a scoring function which takes into account occurrences of words of the actionable phrase in each identified document. The actionable phrase is linked to at least a part of one of the most highly ranked documents in the set of documents.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for automatically scoring essay responses to a prompt using a scoring model. A relevant word corpus and an irrelevant word corpus are accessed. A scoring model is generated by, for each of a plurality of words in the relevant word corpus, determining a topic signature score based on a number of appearances of that word in the relevant word corpus and a number of appearances of that word in the irrelevant word corpus. For each of a plurality of words in an essay response, a topic signature score is determined for that word. A score for the essay response is determined based on the identified topic signature scores.

Abstract: A device receives video data concerning a plurality of customers and a product in a plurality of physical retail locations. The device processes the video data and determines actions of the plurality of customers in relation to the product in the plurality of physical retail locations, by: determining, for a customer of the plurality of customers, an activity of the customer in relation to the product, and determining, for the customer, an eye gaze direction of the customer relative to the product. The device determines categories for the actions of the plurality of customers in relation to the product. The device generates a report that indicates one or more of the categories for the actions of the plurality of customers in relation to the product and sends the report to a client device to permit the client device to display the report.

Abstract: Systems and methods for re-routing parcels being delivered to attended delivery/pickup locations that have no capacity and/or ability to take delivery of the parcels. In various embodiments, in response to determining that the attended delivery/pickup location doesn't have sufficient capacity and/or ability to accept delivery of the parcel, the system is configured to: (1) re-route the parcel to a different location; or (2) hold the parcel for later delivery. In some embodiments, the system is configured to determine an appropriate response to determining that the attended delivery/pickup location cannot accept delivery of the parcel substantially automatically. In other embodiments, the system is configured to provide the parcel recipient with one or more re-routing options.

Abstract: A wellbore perforation gun includes a gun housing, a plurality of charges, a first reactive material, and a second reactive material that is reactive with the first reactive material to generate an endothermic chemical reaction to drop the potential energy (in the form of temperature or pressure) of the gun housing. The perforation gun may further include a controller and a release capsule, with the first reactive material being disposed within the release capsule and the second reactive material being disposed within a chamber of the gun housing at a first time. The controller may be communicatively coupled to the release capsule and operable to generate a signal to the release capsule at a second time that is later than the first time. The release capsule may be operable to release the first reactive material into the chamber response to receiving the signal.

Abstract: A variable strength proppant pack may be useful in maintaining a higher porosity and conductivity of the proppant pack over time. Forming a variable strength proppant pack may involve introducing a fluid having a composition into a subterranean formation having a fracture network therein, wherein the fluid composition changes between a plurality of compositions that comprise: a first proppant-laden fluid comprising first proppant particles, and a second proppant-laden fluid comprising second proppant particles having a crush strength greater than a crush strength of the first proppant particles; and forming a proppant pack in at least a portion of the fracture network, the proppant pack having first proppant portions comprising the first proppant particles and second proppant portions comprising the second proppant particles.

Abstract: A car wash with integrated diagnostic functions is provided that includes the ability to wash and dry a connected vehicle and perform various diagnostic functions. The various diagnostic functions such as tread depth measurement, measuring tire pressures, performing safety inspection, emissions testing and performing vehicle diagnostics and the like may be performed while the connected vehicle is at the car wash. The results of the diagnostic tests may be provided to the driver at the end of the car wash via the driver's wireless computing device.

Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for dropping a ball, plug or dart during oil and gas well operations (e.g., cementing operations) employs a specially configured valving member with curved and flat portions that alternatively direct fluid flow through a bore or opening in the valving member via an inner channel or around the periphery of the valving member in an outer channel. In one embodiment, the ball(s), dart(s) or plug(s) are contained in a sliding sleeve that shifts position responsive to valve rotation. An optional indicator indicates to a user or operator that a ball or plug has passed a selected one of the valving members.

Abstract: A computing node may receive, from a set of computing nodes including the computing node, a corresponding set of heartbeat messages related to selecting a scheduler computing node for scheduling one or more jobs for the set of computing nodes. The computing node may determine, based on the set of heartbeat messages, whether the computing node is to be selected as the scheduler computing node based on: whether the computing node has been selected as the scheduler computing node a fewest number of times as compared to other computing nodes included in the set of computing nodes, and whether the scheduler is being executed by any computing node included in the set of computing nodes. The computing node may selectively schedule the one or more jobs for the set of computing nodes based on determining whether the computing node is to be selected as the scheduler computing node.

Abstract: Computer implemented system and methods are provided for evaluating the effectiveness of personalized automated teller machines. In some embodiments, the system may include a camera, an automated teller machine comprising a user interface based on a user profile and at least one server geographically remote from the automated teller machine. The server may be configured to receive a recorded user interaction, receive transaction data, determine an emotion state, extract environmental data, determine a quality indicator for the recorded user interaction, update a user profile, and transmit to the automated teller machine the updated user profile.
