  • Patent number: 10339555
Abstract: A system is configured to determine a conversion rate associated with a loyalty program offered by a merchant. The conversion rate may specify a monetary value allotted to a loyalty point in the loyalty program. The conversion rate, associated with the loyalty program, may change over time. The conversion rate may be determined without user input specifying the conversion rate. The system is configured to receive an instruction to lock the conversion rate for a period of time; lock the conversion rate as a locked conversion rate for the period of time based on the instruction; and permit the locked conversion rate to be used to apply a discount to a purchase during the period of time. The locked conversion rate at a time of the purchase may be different from the conversion rate offered by the loyalty program at the time of the purchase.

  • Patent number: 10339287
Abstract: Currently automobiles use embedded sensors and computational powers for performance optimization. For better performance and maintenance knowing driver and driving style is important. It is known that driver identification can be achieved using dedicated sensors. Since these are external sensors they add to cost and also deployment of many sensors increases operational and maintenance overhead. Embodiments of the present disclosure obtain GPS data including trip information pertaining to a vehicle being driven by a driver and features are extracted from trip information which are ranked by comparing these features with features associated with trip information of other drivers to selectively identify and obtain ranked features. Value of each ranked feature is compared with value of corresponding feature pertaining to driving patterns and an abnormality score for each relevant feature is generated and the driver is authenticated based on the abnormality score.

  • Patent number: 10335478
Abstract: Chimeric flaviviruses that are avirulent and immunogenic are provided. The chimeric viruses are constructed to contain amino acid mutations in the nonstructural viral proteins of a flavivirus. Chimeric viruses containing the attenuation-mutated nonstructural genes of the virus are used as a backbone into which the structural genes of a second flavivirus strain are inserted. These chimeric viruses elicit pronounced immunogenicity yet lack the accompanying clinical symptoms of viral disease. The attenuated chimeric viruses are effective as immunogens or vaccines and may be combined in a pharmaceutical composition to confer simultaneous immunity against several strains of pathogenic flaviviruses.

  • Patent number: 10339264
Abstract: A computing device for determining effective flow areas of a turbine or turbine engine includes optically scanning and digital modeling of turbine components to produce virtual vanes, virtual vane segments, and virtual ring assemblies. The computing device determines both individual effective flow areas between vanes and the total effective flow area of a vane ring assembly. Based on the virtual vanes and determined effective flow areas, the computing device may compare one or more turbine components to a reference turbine to determine whether the turbine is out of specification and aid in repair, modification, or reassembly of the turbine or turbine engine.

  • Patent number: 10341333
Abstract: Systems and methods for multi-dimensional password generation and authentication is provided. The method includes selecting a virtual reality (VR) environment, rendering interactive objects in the VR environment, tracking a first set of activities including user behavior, user interaction with the objects, and changes made to the objects, the behavior including user position(s), head rotation, time spent on a particular position, GPS coordinates, and the changes include one of position, shape, color, and rotation of the objects. The method generates a multi-dimensional password based on the first set of tracked activities, and authenticates based on comparison of a second set of tracked activities and the first set of activities. When the comparison results in mismatch, the system generates a one-time multi-dimensional image, based on which a third set of activities are tracked and compared with the first set of activities for resetting the password or authenticating the user accordingly.
