Abstract: Methods and Systems for automatic information extraction by performing self-learning crawling and rule-based data mining is provided. The method determines existence of crawl policy within input information and performs at least one of front-end crawling, assisted crawling and recursive crawling. Downloaded data set is pre-processed to remove noisy data and subjected to classification rules and decision tree based data mining to extract meaningful information. Performing crawling techniques leads to smaller relevant datasets pertaining to a specific domain from multi-dimensional datasets available in online and offline sources.

Abstract: A device may capture a plurality of preview frames of a document, and for each preview frame of the plurality of preview frames, process the preview frame to identify an object in the preview frame. Processing the preview frame may include converting the preview frame into a grayscale image, generating a blurred image based on the grayscale image, detecting a plurality of edges in the blurred image, defining at least one bounding rectangle based on the plurality of edges, and determining an outline of the object based on the at least one bounding rectangle. The device may determine whether a value of an image parameter, associated with the one or more preview frames, satisfies a threshold, and provide feedback to a user of the device, or automatically capture an image of the document, based on determining whether the value of the image parameter satisfies the threshold.

Abstract: A knot placement device allows a physician to apply a knot for securing two or more suture ends extending from an incision in a vessel or organ of a patient relative to each other in order to seal an opening in the vessel or organ. The knot placement device has a handle and an elongate shaft and a push rod slidably inserted in said shaft. A knot is disposed in the distal end of the shaft. An actuator on the handle may be depressed to distally advance said push rod relative to said shaft and thereby distally advance said knot. The knot may include a knot body having an inner cavity and a plug sized to fit securely within the inner cavity. In use, the plug may be inserted into the inner cavity of the knot body to fixedly hold two or more suture ends between the knot body and the plug.

Abstract: An LED light and communication system includes Visible Light Communication Transceiver Glasses having at least one projector, lens(es), and optical transceiver, the optical transceiver including a light support and a processor. The light support has at least one light emitting diode and at least one photodetector attached. The processor is in communication with the at least one light emitting diode and the at least one photodetector. The processor is capable of illuminating the at least one light emitting diode to create at least one light signal which is not observable to the unaided eyes of an individual. The second light signal includes at least one data packet. The processor may generate a signal for the projector to display information on the lens(es).

Abstract: A cartridge interface assembly drives a stopper in a drug reservoir or a drug delivery device. An anti-rotational guide optionally moves along an axis of a cavity of the reservoir. The anti-rotational guide is optionally slidably anti-rotationally coupled to a housing of the drug delivery device. A telescoping plunger driver may include a proximal shaft and distal shaft that telescope by relative rotation. The distal shaft is optionally slidably anti-rotationally coupled to the anti-rotational guide. The shafts are optionally oriented along said axis. In some embodiments, rotating the proximal shaft with respect to the anti-rotational guide moves the guide along said axis with respect to the housing and moves the distal shaft along the axis with respect to the anti-rotational guide.

Abstract: Various apparatus or methods are arranged to operate a tool in a wellbore, where the tool has a number of acoustic sensors. Scanning images obtained by the tool sensors along the borehole can be combined to increase the contrast of leak location with respect to background noise. A sequence of beamformed images, generated from signals captured by the tool as it moves over a range of depths of the wellbore, can be acquired. Each beamformed image may overlap at least one other beamformed image of the sequence. The beamformed images can be processed and the processed beamformed images can be combined, forming a stitched image. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods operable in providing stitched images can operate in a variety of applications.

Abstract: A method for creating a smart contract detailing an ordered set of events is disclosed. A smart contract can include information about multiple events and responses for each event. The events and response can be arranged in a predefined order. The responses can include adding new records to a blockchain.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing a delivery of an item being shipped are described using a wireless node network having at least an ID node related to the item being shipped, a mobile user access device operative to function as a master node, and a server. The mobile user access device adapted to function as a master node in the network receives shipping information from the server. The shipping information is related to the item being shipped and an identification of the ID node. The mobile user access device then detects a signal broadcast from the ID node as the ID node comes within a communication range of the device. The ID node and mobile user access device are then associated to acknowledge the delivery of the item. Thereafter, the mobile user access device operating as the master node notifies the server about the acknowledged delivery.

Abstract: A method for administrating a certificate of deposit (CD) includes receiving an option agreement entered into by a user with a financial institution. The option agreement defines one or more predetermined events enabling disposition of funds of a CD prior to the CD's maturity date. The option agreement has a fee associated therewith. The received option agreement and one or more services provided to the user by the financial institution are analyzed by a processor to determine said user's eligibility for disposition of CD funds prior to the maturity date based on an occurrence of the one or more predetermined events specified by the option agreement. The occurrence of the one or more predetermined events is verified, using the processor. A recommendation is provided to the user to dispose the CD funds in response to verifying the occurrence of the one or more predetermined events.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for coupling components within a downhole motor drivetrain, and particularly to improving the torque carrying characteristics through threaded couplings in the drivetrain that extends between the mud motor and the drill bit. The described downhole motor drivetrain includes one or more threaded couplings, with each coupling configured to define a gap to accept a spacer having a dimension within a range of sizes. The dimension of the selected spacer placed in the threaded coupling facilitates establishing a desired balance of the force loading at each of two contact regions of the coupling. In many examples, the two contact regions of the coupling will be located on opposite sides of the threaded region.

Abstract: A portable token device is described, the token device useable to request transactions performed over an interchange system. The token device authenticates a user through the use of biometric data such as a fingerprint. When in proximity to a point of sale (POS) terminal, the token device communicates with the POS terminal over a wireless network to authorize a transaction involving the user. The interchange system employs blockchain elements that can be used in a payment apparatus for managing payments or other types of transactions, and for managing user accounts. The interchange system enables users to enroll in the system, and enables the various users' computing devices to be used as confirmation centers for new transactions and/or funds transfers between users.

Abstract: Example methods and systems describe transaction cards with one or more light sources to provide a status of a transaction to a cardholder. For example, a transaction card may determine whether a transaction is a duplicate of a prior transaction, and, if the transaction card determines that the transaction is a duplicate of a prior transaction, the transaction card may provide an alert to the cardholder that indicates that the cardholder has been charged twice for a single transaction.

Abstract: Disclosed are vehicle inspection systems and methods, and more particularly, systems and methods for appraising the damage caused to a vehicle during an accident and in certain embodiments for dispositioning the vehicle from the accident scene. The disclosed appraisal systems can include one or more cameras, scanner and sensors and a computing device. The cameras can be mounted to a recovery vehicle, for example, for taking imagery of the damaged vehicle at an accident scene. The computing device receives the imagery from each camera and/or sensors/scanners and communicates the data and imagery to a remote server for use in a damage assessment.

The second electrode is spaced from the first electrode. At least a portion of the liquid storage portion is arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. The control system is configured to measure an electrical quantity between the first electrode and the second electrode, and detect a draw on the aerosol-generating system based on the measured electrical quantity information.

Abstract: Enhanced systems and methods for collision avoidance of a high value asset with reflective beacons around it using multi-sensor data fusion on a mobile industrial vehicle. The system has a sensing processing system with a LiDAR and camera sensors, and a multi-processor module responsive to the different sensors. The sensing processing system fuses the different sensor data to locate the reflective beacons. A model predictive controller on the vehicle determines possible control solutions where each defines a threshold allowable speed for the vehicle at discrete moments based upon an estimated path to a breaching point projected from the reflective beacons, and then identifies an optimal one of the control solutions based upon a performance cost function and associated with an optimal threshold allowable speed. The system has a vehicle actuator configured to respond and alter vehicle movement to avoid a collision when the vehicle exceeds the optimal threshold allowable speed.

Abstract: A mobile radio frequency identification (RFID) device for use with supply chain operations, association of things, and work in process operations. The mobile RFID device comprises a cart comprising four wheels and a handle for guiding its motion. The cart also comprises a top surface, an open lower shelf below the top surface, and a lower enclosure below the open lower shelf. The top surface of the cart comprises a very refined RF field which only scans items within a defined area. The defined area can be a flat work surface or a recessed well. The top surface also comprises a directional antenna that is completely hidden and communicatively coupled to an RFID reader. The lower enclosure below the open lower shelf is an enclosed storage cabinet that can house an RFID reader, an inverter (DC to AC), a battery, and a charger for the battery.

Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, and computer program products are provided. In an example embodiment, a method is provided comprising receiving input identifying load information corresponding to a load to be inserted into a transportation plan. The transportation plan comprises a plurality of transportation schedules, each schedule comprising a plurality of transportation movements. The method further comprises identifying an available movement network comprising portions of transportation schedules having open capacity, each portion of a transportation schedule having open capacity being a potential leg of a path from the origin location to the destination location; determining potential solutions for transporting the load from the origin location to the destination location by combining one or more legs to determine a path of open capacity movements from the origin location to at least part way to the destination location; and providing one or more potential solutions for display via a user interface.
