Abstract: Method and System for estimating three dimensional measurements of a physical object by utilizing readings from inertial sensors is provided. The method involves capturing by a handheld unit, three dimensional aspects of the physical object. The raw recordings are received from the inertial sensors and are used to develop a raw rotation matrix. The raw rotation matrix is subjected to low pass filtering to obtain processed matrix constituted of filtered Euler angles wherein coordinates from the processed rotation matrix is used to estimate gravitational component along the three axis leading to determination of acceleration values and further calculation of measurement of each dimension of the physical object.

Abstract: We describe a method of monitoring the state of a cell, tissue, organ or organism. The method comprises establishing, for a sample of micro-particles from the cell, tissue, organ or organism, a ratio. The ratio is of a selected polypeptide in microparticles which comprise GM1 gangliosides, preferably which bind to Cholera Toxin B (CTB) (“GM1 ganglioside microparticle polypeptide”) to the selected polypeptide in microparticles which comprise exposed phosphotidylserine, preferably which bind to Annexin V (“Annexin V microparticle polypeptide”). The GM1 ganglioside microparticle polypeptide to Annexin V microparticle polypeptide ratio so established may be indicative of the state of the cell, tissue, organ or organism.

Abstract: A processor-based system for electronically presenting virtual brochures to a customer. The system has a server with a memory for holding information relating to the brochures. A processor generates a page of selected brochures, and arranges the brochures in tiers on the page. the processor selectively shuffles an order of the brochures within the tiers upon occurrences of generating the page. An output sends the page to a customer device. In this manner, clients of the system can pay to have their brochures in higher, more visible tiers as desired, but each brochure within a given tier is provided with the same visibility as the other brochures within the same tier.

  • Patent number: 9492564
Abstract: We tested the in vitro and in vivo efficacy of a recombinant bispecific immunotoxin that recognizes both EGFRwt and tumor-specific EGFRvIII receptors. A single chain antibody was cloned from a hybridoma and fused to toxin, carrying a C-terminal peptide which increases retention within cells. The binding affinity and specificity of the recombinant bispecific immunotoxin for the EGFRwt and the EGFRvIII proteins was measured. In vitro cytotoxicity was measured. In vivo activity of the recombinant bispecific immunotoxin was evaluated in subcutaneous models and compared to that of an established monospecific immunotoxin. In our preclinical studies, the bispecific recombinant immunotoxin, exhibited significant potential for treating brain tumors.

  • Patent number: 9497658
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a capacity management agent that modifies bandwidth that is allocated between an end user and a carrier network by caching requested content that is streamed at a first rate and then providing the cached content to the end user through the carrier network at a second rate. The agent performs a process that includes receiving data intended for a service region of the carrier network from an external data network. The process identifies resource availability at the service region. Next, the process passes the data to the service region at the first rate when the resource availability at the service region is not less than a threshold amount and caches the data for passing to the service region at the second rate that consumes fewer carrier network resource than the first rate when the resource availability at the service region is less than the threshold amount.
