In particular, proactive blocking of access to protected systems/services may be implemented when client system electronic data provision requirements of the protected systems/services are not met.

Abstract: In some implementations, a device may detect loading of a first web page associated with a domain, and may create an inline frame element that references a second web page associated with the domain. The second web page may require an authenticated user session to access particular content of the second web page. The device may insert the inline frame element into code for the first web page, and may transmit a request for the second web page based on inserting the inline frame element into the code for the first web page. The device may receive a response to the request for the second web page, and may determine whether there is an authenticated user session for the domain based on the response. The device may selectively perform an action based on determining whether there is an authenticated user session for the domain.

Abstract: Embodiments of a system and method for sorting and sequencing articles in a processing facility are disclosed. Delivery endpoints are divided and grouped into stop groups. A first sorter sorts items according to stop group and outputs the items to trays. The output trays from the first sorter are loaded to a second sorter in stop group order. The second sorter can then sort the items into output bins in delivery sequence order.

Abstract: Methods and devices for consistently and accurately controlling the depth of the graft tunnel. A sheath is inserted into the bone until a stop member on the sheath contacts the bone. A cutting member is then deployed to drill a larger bore in the tunnel until making contact with the distal end of the sheath. The cutting member may be drawn retrograde within the tunnel, or driven antegrade from an opening opposite the opening in which the sheath resides. The drill and the sheath can then be removed, leaving the tunnel that includes a tunnel portion sized to fit a graft so that the graft fits tightly within the tunnel portion and is flush with the opening of the tunnel.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a current amount of an item available from a network resource may be monitored. Based on the monitoring indicating that the current amount fails to satisfy a first threshold, one or more sources may be identified. The one or more sources may be within a threshold proximity of the network resource, and distances between the one or more sources and the network resource may be determined. One or more requests for the amounts of the item to be transferred from the one or more sources to the network resource within time frames may be generated. For example, the time frames may be based on the distances. The one or more requests may be transmitted to the one or more sources.

Abstract: A wear-resistant annular seal assembly has a plurality of interlocking one-piece seal segments interleaved with a plurality of two-piece seal segments. The seal segments are made using wear-resistant rigid material such as steel, stainless steel or a composite material. In one embodiment the seal segments are coated with a fluoropolymer. A straddle packer includes a first and second spaced apart ones of the wear-resistant seal assemblies and a linear force generator for urging the first and second seal assemblies to a seal-set condition.

Abstract: Authentication methods and systems using RFID-enabled payment cards are disclosed herein where a server receives a request corresponding to authorization of a payment associated with a payment card from an electronic terminal. The server identifies an electronic device of a user associated with the payment card. The server then transmits an instruction to the electronic device to cause an RFID reader of the electronic device to determine whether an RFID tag corresponding to the payment card is located within a predetermined proximity to the electronic device. When the payment card is located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a first authentication protocol. Moreover, when the payment card is not located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a second authentication protocol, wherein the second authentication protocol is more restrictive than the first authentication protocol.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide systems and methods for managing a loan application. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed that may include identifying one or more unfulfilled conditions associated with a loan application of a customer and sending, to a customer device, a request for a loan application document based on the identified one or more unfulfilled conditions. The method may also include receiving, from the customer device, a responsive loan application document. The method may also include identifying a document type for the responsive loan application document and confirming that the responsive loan application document is a valid document. Finally, the method may also include sending loan application status information to the customer device based on the confirmation.

Abstract: A system and method generate recommendations with cold starts. The system comprises a hardware-based processor, a memory, and a set of modules. The memory stores item taxonomy data for at least one item, stores client descriptive data for at least one client, and stores historical response data for at least one item responded to by the at least one client. The set of modules includes a machine learning module and a recommendation module. The machine learning module generates a response probability matrix using the historical response data, the item taxonomy data, and the client descriptive data. The recommendation module generates and outputs a recommendation corresponding to input data using the information deduced in the response probability matrix. The method implements the system.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a permission request from a user to perform an operation in a computer environment. Data elements of operations previously performed by a plurality of users are received. A set of operation types are generated by identifying data elements of operations previously performed by other users of the plurality of users having operation types performed by the user. The data elements in the set are mapped into a graph database. Permission messages are generated with a correct response identified from a data attribute from a specific operation type previously performed by the user, and wrong responses identified from the specific operation type previously performed by the other users. An accumulated probability based on the permission respond message is computed using the graph database. The user is tagged based on the accumulated probability as a permissioned user for performing the operation, or a non-permissioned violator user.

The first pump is to pump at a first pump rate to extract fluid via the at least one inlet from a subsurface formation in which a borehole is created and in which the downhole tool is to be positioned. A sample chamber is coupled to the inlet via a second flow line, and a second pump is coupled to the inlet via the second flow line. The second pump is to pump at a second pump rate to extract the fluid via the at least one inlet from the subsurface formation and for storage in the sample chamber. The first pump rate is greater than the second pump rate.

Abstract: In some implementations, a system may receive, from a software repository, a difference file indicating changes, to software code, that was submitted to the software repository. The system may parse the difference file to determine files, associated with the software code, affected by the changes and to determine content associated with the changes. The system may apply rules, from a rule dictionary, based on comparing identifiers, associated with the files, with identifiers included in the rules and based on comparing the content, associated with the changes, with content included in the rules. The system may generate software review checklist items based on applying the rules and output the software review checklist items for display. Abstract: An extender for filling a syringe cartridge at a filling station having an elevating bar has a connector portion connecting a proximal portion of the extender to a distal portion of the syringe cartridge. A head on a distal portion of the extender is sized and shaped to engage the elevating bar of the filling station. The syringe cartridge having the extender may be provided to a filling station that is configured for filling a long syringe cartridge having a long syringe-cartridge length greater than a length of the syringe cartridge. The syringe cartridge and extender may be supported on a syringe support of the filling station and passed through the filling station to fill the syringe cartridge.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for data segmentation to improve security is described. The method includes receiving a request, from a client device of a user, for authentication information; parsing the request; based on the parsing, determining an authentication score that represents a likelihood that the request is from an authenticated device; determining, from the authentication score, a number of segments into which the requested authentication information is divided; and for each of the segments, assigning one or more portions of the authentication information to that segment, in which each segment is associated with one or more times at which to transmit information assigned to that segment, and at one or more times specified by that segment, transmitting one or more portions of the authentication information assigned to that segment to the client device.
