Abstract: Commercial size of spending wallet (“CSoSW”) is the total business spend of a business including cash but excluding bartered items. Commercial share of wallet (“CSoW”) is the portion of the spending wallet that is captured by a particular financial company. A modeling approach utilizes various data sources to provide outputs that describe a company's spend capacity. Research analysts can use CSoW/CSoSW to provide a comprehensive and robust indication of the business prospects of a rated company.

Abstract: A cell cap including a base, a top, a connector, one or more wings between the base and the top, and a lock. The top may engage the base and be moveable relative to the base. The connector may be moveable relative to only one of the base and the top. Each wing may have a first portion engaging the connector and a second portion engaging the cell. When pressure within the cell exceeds pressure outside the cell, the lock may lie in a first position, preventing relative movement between the base and the top. When pressure within the cell does not exceed pressure outside the cell, the lock may lie in a second position, allowing relative movement between the base and the top to cause the connector to move the first portion of the wing, thereby causing the second portion of the wing to move.

Abstract: A method of micro-machining comprises the steps of selectively applying a light energy coupling substance to a substrate, the light energy coupling substance absorbing a selected level of laser light energy at a selected wavelength, directing a laser light beam at the selected wavelength against the substrate in areas to which the light energy coupling substance has been applied, and manipulating one of the laser light beam and the substrate to micro-machine selected features into the substrate with the laser light beam.

Abstract: A collet mechanism that holds a cannula during molding of a syringe includes first and second arms that form an internal cavity. Each arm has a proximal end and a distal end. The first and second arms are in a closed position when the distal ends are moved toward the internal cavity and are in an open position when the distal ends are positioned away from the internal cavity. First and second cannula guides respectively are mounted proximate the distal ends of the first and second arms and extend into the internal cavity. The first and second cannula guides clamp a portion of the cannula to hold the cannula when the first and second arms are in the closed position.

Abstract: A method of treating a mixture of microorganisms with readily biodegradable carbon compounds (RBCs) in the form of one or more volatile fatty acids (VFAs), by first inducing the mixture microorganisms to release phosphorus and magnesium which is then tapped o as the mixture is thickened, to produce a phosphorus/magnesium-nch liquid and a phosphorus/magnesium-reduced treated mixture This treated mixture is placed in an anaerobic digester where ammonia is formed, but combines very little with phosphorus or magnesium Next the high-ammonia mixture is dewatered to produce an ammonia-rich liquid, which is combined with the phosphorus and magnesium-rich liquid and reacted to form struvite In one preferred embodiment, VFAs are formed in situ via an upstream unified fermentation and thickening (UFAT) process and added to the waste sidestream to strip phosphorus and magnesium found therein In another preferred embodiment a usable struvite product is harvested.

The unique ID is used to track online behavior for the user across different domains. Also, the online behavior tracking system is used in a content evaluation system which delivers content treatments to users and tracks online behavior of the users in response to the delivered treatments.

Abstract: A temporary drainage system for draining rain water that flows into a floor under construction to an outside of a building during construction of a multiple-story building includes: a flexible drainage collection hose connected to a penetration hole formed in a floor slab of the floor under construction; a sand-settling vessel provided on a floor slab of a constructed floor of the building and connected to the drainage collection hose; a drainage pit provided on a lowest floor of the building to store drainage water discharged from the sand-settling vessel through a drainage hose; and a drainage pump provided in the drainage pit. The drainage water collected into the drainage pit is discharged to the outside of the building by an operation of the drainage pump.

Abstract: A data distribution system is provided which supplies customers with an executable for requested secured data files to provide the customer with fulfillment software, obviating the need for the customer to download fulfillment software prior to requesting secure data. The data distribution system is characterized by server technology which can dynamically encrypt secured data files just prior to a customer request to download the data file. A framework for building a universal data distribution infrastructure is provided which employs Requesters.

A well system can include a tubular string disposed in a wellbore, the tubular string including at least one valve, steam which flows from the wellbore into a formation surrounding the wellbore, and alternately flows from the formation into the wellbore as liquid water, and the valve opening automatically in response to presence of the liquid water in the wellbore.

Abstract: Systems and methods for product level projections of pharmacy prescriptions within product therapy classes are provided. Average wholesale dollar sales amounts are obtained or estimated at channel/outlet/product-therapy levels. All of the average wholesale dollar sales amounts are converted to prescription data at channel/outlet/product-therapy levels using a correlation function. The correlation function is derived by correlating samples of total prescription data where available with corresponding average wholesale dollar sales amounts.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and apparatuses are described for retroactively applying financial activity recorded at an electronic device temporarily disconnected from a network to an account. This may include a customer providing financial transaction information, wherein the financial transaction information comprises funds to be credited to or debited from the account. After a period of time, it may be determined that a previously unavailable network connection to the host computer system is available. The financial transaction information and a timestamp indicating when the financial transaction information was received at the electronic device may then be transmitted. The financial transaction may then be applied to the account retroactively at a time linked to the timestamp.

Abstract: A system and method for porting of existing speech recognition solutions in a source language to a target language has been disclosed. The system envisaged by the present invention enables porting of a working speech recognition solution in the source language to a working system in the target language, thus minimizing the development process and reusing existing speech recognition solution components to recognize multiple languages.

Abstract: A system for providing a shipping label and a packing list on a container is provided which enables rapid and automated sequential application of a packing list and a shipping label to the container. The shipping label is configured complemental to the packing list whereby the packing list may first be adhered directly to the container and then the shipping label may be placed thereover. The shipping label may be applied over the packing list while the container moves continuously down a conveyor. The invention further includes an apparatus for sequentially applying the packing list and then the shipping label, and a method for applying the packing list and shipping label in registry.

Abstract: A tubular gripping apparatus has a jaw assembly that has a tubular-contacting surface at an end thereof, a drive yoke that has a tubular-contacting surface at an end thereof, an actuator connected to the drive yoke, and a locking mechanism interconnected to the drive yoke. The drive yoke is connected to the jaw assembly. The actuator moves the jaw assembly and the drive yoke such that the tubular-contacting surfaces thereof move radially inwardly for a substantially identical distance. The locking mechanism directs a load away from the actuator while the jaw assembly and the drive yoke grip the tubular. The locking mechanism has a cylinder yoke positioned around the piston-and-cylinder assembly, and a wedge assembly positioned adjacent the bearing bar and the cylinder yoke. The wedge assembly is suitable for contacting the cylinder yoke so as to prevent a movement of the cylinder yoke.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, an emissions calculation system calculates the emissions resulting from transporting a shipment that includes an individual or group of packages. In certain embodiments, the calculated emissions are based on estimated amounts of fuel used in the transportation process based on historical fuel usage and shipment data. In addition, various embodiments of the system generate and display (or otherwise make available) one or more reports of the calculated emissions information. For example, the reports may provide a total amount of carbon dioxide emitted for a particular shipment or group of shipments. In addition, the report may provide a breakdown of the amount of emissions resulting from various operational activities in the transportation process (e.g., resulting from pickup, delivery, and/or transportation between carrier facilities, and resulting from stationary operational activities, such as sorting or movement within each carrier facility).
