Abstract: Various embodiments include apparatus and methods of operation with respect to well logging. Apparatus and methods include a tool having an arrangement of transmitters and receivers that are operated at different positions downhole and a processing unit to process collected signals such that the arrangement of transmitters and receivers provides measurements that mimic operation of a different arrangement of transmitters and receivers. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: A pipe handling apparatus has a frame, a boom pivotally connected to the frame so as to be movable between a first position and a second position, an arm extending outwardly of the boom when the boom is in the second position, a gripper affixed to the end of the arm opposite the boom, a first line having a first end affixed to the boom, a second line interconnected to an opposite end of the first line and connected to the frame, and an actuator interconnected to the first and second lines. The actuator changes an angular relationship of the first and second lines so as to selectively tension the lines. The second line includes a first cable offset from linear alignment with the first line and a second cable extending in angular relationship with the first cable.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to financial data processing, and in particular it relates to lender credit scoring, lender profiling, lender behavior analysis and modeling. More specifically, it relates to rating lenders based on data derived from their respective consumers. Also, the present disclosure relates to rating consumer lenders based on the predicted spend capacity of their consumers.

Abstract: A piston nest (10) is provided that includes a plurality of spaced apart single nesting units (12) interconnected by a web (13). Each of the single nesting units is configured a hollow cylindrical body having a first open end about a distal end of the body and a second open end about the proximal end. The hollow cylindrical body also includes a first (24) and a second (26) retention member for retaining a piston within the single nesting unit. The first and the second retention members are spaced apart along a longitudinal axis of the hollow cylindrical body.

Abstract: A system, computer product and method for profiling consumers to recommend a financial transaction instrument having benefits tailored to psychographic characteristics of the consumer. A set of questions is presented to a consumer, in order to determine the psychographic characteristics of the consumer. At least one subset of questions is presented, based on answers to the set of questions, the at least one subset of questions relating more specifically to available benefits. A tailored financial transaction instrument is recommended, having benefits which are based on answers to the at least one subset of questions.

Abstract: A telecommunication system includes a first radio access technology having a first radio access network and a first network core operable to page a mobile terminal via at least one element of the first radio access technology. The telecommunications system also includes a second radio access technology having a second radio access network and a second network core operable to page said mobile terminal via at least one element of the second radio access technology. Each of these elements may receive the page from its radio access technology, determine whether the mobile terminal is registered with that radio access technology and notify its core network if the mobile terminal is not registered. The core network may cause the mobile terminal to be paged in the other radio access technology. Different timer periods for idle timers at mobile terminal and eNodeB may avoid possible loss of mobile terminating data.

Abstract: Projects of any type require sophisticated management software programs. In reality, these management software programs are provided by various vendors and for different professional fields. For example, scheduling programs for construction professionals, blue print programs for drafting professionals, accounting programs for cost-control professionals. In addition, there are numerous other unofficial and official documents generated by managers of different levels for reporting or track-record-keeping purposes using popular word processing programs and spread-sheet programs. Documents generated by different software programs can only be viewed under the programs they are generated under or compatible programs. This poses a problem in that there is a lack of organized control resulting in difficulty in locating and viewing documents in a timely manner.

Abstract: An enhancement for use with automatically cycled saw systems that provides an operator access to two-hand anti-tie down buttons and other machine control functions while manually crowding the material to be cut against the saw's fence. The enhancement includes anti-tie down buttons to prevent a cutting cycle unless both buttons are depressed within preset time limit of each other.

Abstract: A method of actuating a valve in a well can include storing energy as a result of a differential pressure across a closed closure device of the valve, and releasing at least a portion of the stored energy while opening the closure device. A valve for use in a well can include a closure device, a biasing device, and an actuator which stores energy in the biasing device in response to a pressure differential across the closure device. A well system can include a tubular string, and a valve which controls fluid flow through the tubular string. The valve may include a closure device and an actuator which actuates the valve at least partially in response to a pressure differential across the closure device.

Abstract: In a remote technical support system, in response to a request for service, a user device receives an executable application from the technical support controller, which executable application is subsequently invoked at the user device. Additionally, the user device receives configuration information from the technical support controller. The executable application then performs technical support processing of the user device in accordance with the configuration information. The executable application can be configured, based on the configuration information, to engage in dynamic workflow, i.e., to make decisions about what activities to perform based on previous results. Because the configuration information can be selected according to the specific nature of the user device and/or the specific nature of the service request, the executable application can be tailored to best address the requesting end user's needs with minimal attention from a remote technician.

Abstract: A content handler application that may be provided on a mobile device to provide extensions to a web based application. The content handler may provide the web application access features such as the camera, GPS, A/V input and output, file system and secure uploads. The content handler may be a certified application for use on the mobile device and calls applications to access the features of the mobile device. The web applications may be updated without concern for the content handler. Because the user experience and business logic are contained in the web application they are unaffected by the certification and multi-platform issues as this is limited to only the content handler.

Abstract: Novel hydraulic actuators and hydraulic setting assemblies are provided for use in downhole, oil and gas well tools. The novel hydraulic actuators include a cylindrical mandrel and an annular stationary sealing member connected to the mandrel. A hydraulic cylinder is slidably supported on the mandrel and stationary sealing member and is releasably fixed in position on the mandrel. The stationary sealing member divides the interior of the cylinder into a bottom hydraulic chamber and a top hydraulic chamber. An inlet port provides fluid communication into the bottom hydraulic chamber, and an outlet port provides fluid communication into the top hydraulic chamber. A balance piston is slidably supported within the top hydraulic chamber of the actuator. The piston includes an axially extending passageway. Fluid communication through the piston and between its upper and lower sides is controlled by a normally shut valve in the passageway.

Abstract: An automated banking machine of a banking system operates responsive to data read from bearing records. The machine includes a card reader operative to read card data including financial account identifying data, and causes financial transfers responsive to the read card data. The machine also includes a sheet acceptor that separates each sheet from a received stack of sheets. Each sheet is aligned with a sheet path and analyzed by analysis devices which include at least one magnetic read head, an imager, and/or a validation device. Sheets determined not to be genuine are returned to the machine user. Sheets determined to be genuine are processed and stored in the machine. At least one surface area image sensor and at least one image data processor are used to determine sheet movement in the sheet path.

Abstract: A prioritizing system and method are disclosed for prioritizing processing of payment instructions through a payment instruction processing system of a business entity. The method includes identifying a first set of rules determining a prioritization among a set of payment instructions. These include payment instructions related to payments from nostro accounts associated with the business entity and processed by other business entities. Also, the payment instructions have data fields for qualitative and quantitative attributes describing the payment instructions. The method also includes holding and ordering the payment instructions in a queue, determining a first sequence ordering the payment instructions in the queue based upon the first set of rules, and initiating processing of the payment instructions in the queue according to the first sequence.

The apparatus (100) includes a depth reference coupling (102) having a profile (112) that is positioned in a first tubular string. The first tubular string has a predetermined length between the depth reference coupling (102) and a predetermined reference point. The apparatus (100) also includes an indicator assembly (118) having a mating profile (128) operable to engage the profile (112) of the depth reference coupling (102) that is positioned in a second tubular string. In operation, the second tubular string is run in the first tubular string until the mating profile (128) of the indicator assembly (118) engages the profile (112) of the depth reference coupling (102), thereby enabling reliable depth referencing of the tubular strings.

Abstract: A control system for an annulus balanced subsurface safety valve. A system for operating a safety valve in a well includes a piston of the safety valve being responsive to displace due to a pressure differential between chambers exposed to the piston; and a valve controller which alternately exposes at least one of the chambers to pressure in an annulus surrounding the safety valve, and to pressure greater than that in the annulus. A method of operating a safety valve in a well includes the steps of: opening the safety valve by biasing a piston of the safety valve to displace in response to a pressure differential between a chamber exposed to pressure greater than well pressure, and another chamber exposed to well pressure; and closing the safety valve by exposing both of the chambers to the well pressure.

A method of cutting a window includes the steps of: positioning a diverter in a tubular string, the diverter including multiple separate guide paths for respective multiple cutting faces of a cutting assembly; and then contacting the guide paths with the cutting faces to thereby form the window. Another method of cutting a window includes the step of: positioning a diverter in the tubular string, the diverter including multiple separate guide paths for respective multiple cutting faces of a cutting assembly, with each of the guide paths providing a separate wear surface for the respective cutting face.
