Abstract: A comprehensive platform for merchandising intellectual property (IP), conducting IP transactions, searching IP related data and accessing IP resources and tools is disclosed. A standardized data collection method enables IP assets to be characterized, rated and valuated in a consistent manner. Project management, workflow and data security functionality enable consistent, efficient and secure interactions between the IP Marketplace participants throughout the IP transaction process. Business rules, workflows, valuation models and rating methods may be user defined or based upon marketplace, industry or technology standards. Data is received and processed to establish credentials to signify significance, accuracy, relevance, etc. of IP channels, resources and tools. An IP channel guide interface presents data in useful and relevant ways to the user, including sorting and filtering data.

Abstract: An interface can serve as a client-mainframe interface, enabling clients to develop applications without a need to understand mainframe processes and screen flows. Extended Tool Command Language (Tcl) can define services that can include a series of interactions with a mainframe system and service definitions can be added or updated on the interface during operation of the interface without disrupting processing. The service definitions can enable the interface to receive XML requests from a client, parse the XML requests, execute the service scripts to interact with the mainframe systems, generate the result in a XML format and send the XML file back to the client. Fundamental Mainframe Interactions (FMI) commands can interact with the mainframe systems and enable the specification of the XML structure of the request and response. The interface can provide efficient connection pooling management and connection life cycle control to improve the performance of the mainframe system interactions.

Abstract: A return flow filtration assembly for filtering return hydraulic fluid is provided. The filtration assembly includes a first return fluid chamber including a first inlet and first and second of outlets. The second outlet is configured to be coupled to a secondary return flow filter for providing micro-filtering of the return fluid. The first outlet includes a restriction element for restricting flow through the first outlet and generating an artificial back pressure within the first return fluid chamber to drive fluid through the second outlet, when the second outlet is coupled to a secondary return flow filter.

Abstract: A device has a first elongate tubular body and a second elongate tubular body coupled to the first tubular body, both adapted to reside in the wellbore. The device is changeable between the first tubular body axially fixed against movement in a first direction relative to the second tubular body and axially moveable in the first direction relative to the second elongate tubular body in response to temperature.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods of preparing a macromolecular conjugated ligand and a metal complex thereof. The metal complex is targeted for use as a contrast agent, for example, in MRI. The method of preparing a macromolecular conjugated ligand comprises: (a) providing a compound of formula (I) wherein R, A, and Pg are as defined herein, (b) reacting the compound of formula (I) with a macromolecular compound (e.g., dendrimer) in an organic solvent medium which is substantially free of water to obtain a macromolecular conjugated compound, and (c) removing the carboxyl-protecting groups to obtain a carboxyl-deprotected macromolecular conjugated compound. The metal complex can be prepared by reacting the carboxyl-deprotected macromolecular conjugated compound with an ion (e.g., Gd(III)). Also disclosed are two carboxyl-protected 1B4M-DTPA intermediate compounds.

The drive system generally includes a motor, a drive shaft, a driven shaft, a spool, a plurality of cable partitions, and a controller. Each line assembly generally includes cable sections, swivel connectors, one or more spring blocks and a weight.

Abstract: Systems and methods consistent with the present invention encode a list so users of the list may make inquiries to the coded list without the entire content of the list being revealed to the users. Once each item in the list has been encoded by an encoder, a bit array with high and low values may be used to represent the items in the list. The bit array may be embodied in a validation system for allowing users to query the list to determine whether an inquiry item is on the list. The validation system determines which bits to check by executing the same coding process executed by the encoder. If all the bits are high, then the inquiry item is determined to be part of the list, if at least one bit is low, then the inquiry item is determined not to be part of the original list.

Abstract: A support apparatus includes a bed frame with movable portions and a mattress supported on the bed frame. A control system synchronously controls inflation and deflation of at least one air bladder of the mattress and movement of at least one of the movable portions.

Abstract: A data recorder may be installed in a house or other type of building in order to record conditions present at the building. The data recorded may be analyzed in order to forensically assess conditions that have led to damage or destruction of the building, or to prospectively forecast the possibility of future damage or destruction. A decision may be made based on analysis of the data, and an action may be taken based on the decision. Examples of data that may be recorded include temperature, wind speed, humidity, or any other information. Examples of decisions that may be made include insurance claim decisions, underwriting decisions, reinsurance decisions, alert decisions, or any other types of decisions.

Abstract: A method for one of approving and denying a credit offering to a borrower is disclosed. The method includes calculating a probability of default rating of the borrower and calculating a loss given default rating for the borrower. The method also includes integrating the probability of default rating and the loss given default rating with other information relating to the credit offering to produce a credit memorandum and automatically outputting the credit memorandum to a user so that the user can recommend one of approval and denial of the credit offering.

Abstract: A method of promoting the regression of a cancer in a mammal comprising: (i) administering to the mammal nonmyeloablative lymphodepleting chemotherapy, and (ii) subsequently administering: (a) autologous T-cells, which have been previously isolated, selected for highly avid recognition of an antigen of the cancer, the regression of which is to be promoted, and rapidly expanded in vitro only once, and, either concomitantly with the autologous T-cells or subsequently to the autologous T-cells, by the same route or a different route, a T-cell growth factor that promotes the growth and activation of the autologous T-cells, or (b) autologous T-cells, which have been previously isolated, selected for highly avid recognition of an antigen of the cancer, the regression of which is to be promoted, modified to express a T-cell growth factor that promotes the growth and activation of the autologous T-cells, and rapidly expanded in vitro only once, whereupon the regression of the cancer in the mammal is promoted.

Abstract: A system for treating a subterranean zone includes a combustion driven compressor in communication with a supply of a component of a combustion mixture. The compressor is configured to compress the component of the combustion mixture and has a combustion exhaust. A source of treatment fluid for treating the subterranean zone is coupled to the combustion exhaust to supply the treatment fluid in heat transfer communication with the combustion exhaust. In certain instances, compressor is driven by combusting the combustion mixture. In certain instances, the combustion mixture is combusted in separate combustor.

Abstract: Strategies, tools and techniques for establishing family purchase cards for customers of a financial institution are disclosed. The family purchase card may be established for a principal owner of a family in association with a household account held at the financial institution. The family purchase card may include a total purchase limit that can be allocated among one or more secondary purchase cards associated with various cardholders within the family. Different parameters may be configured for the secondary purchase cards, such as purchase limits, billing arrangements, activation or deactivation rules, and financial development milestone rules. The family purchase card may promote development of financial management skills and fiscal responsibility for various members of the family.

Abstract: Modular authentication and session management involves the use of discrete modules to perform specific tasks in a networked computing environment. There may be a separate authentication server that verifies the identity of the user and an authorization client that grants various levels of access to users. There may also be an authentication client that receives an initial request from a requesting application and forwards the request to the authentication server to verify the identity of the use. The authorization client may then be invoked to provide the necessary level of access. The use of discrete modules allows multiple business applications to use the same modules to perform user authentication tasks, thus alleviating the unnecessary multiplication of code.

Abstract: A central administration tool or manager supports entry or selection of attribute data or datum (e.g., an attribute value) associated with at least one of a resource and a user. The entered or selected attribute data is arranged into a data structure (e.g., a file) for transmission over a communications network. The data structure is transmitted over the communications network to a directory interface. The transmitted data structure is processed to be compatible with interpretation by a directory services system. The directory services system is invoked consistent with the contents of the data structure (e.g., the file) and the previous processing of the data structure. Resources (e.g., applications) that are under the control of the directory services are managed consistent with the contents of the data structure.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program product are disclosed for providing a mechanism for re-routing queries in a telecommunications network. A service control point (SCP) executes an application which causes queries to be launched over a LAN or WAN to a remotely located data center. Primary and secondary data centers are defined, in which the secondary data center operates on a ‘hot-standby’ basis. Based on an automatically verifying system, the detection (or lack thereof) of a response from a primary data center and comparison of the response against an answer or response from another site indicates whether or not the SCP or SCP application should route queries to the secondary data center. Similarly, the same mechanism can be used to indicate that queries should be re-routed back to the primary data center.

Abstract: To expedite electronic delivery and return of a document, the document is sent to an electronic mail system and stored in an electronic form thereat. The recipient is informed that the document is available thereto at any of a plurality of merchants where the document may be retrieved. The recipient visits one of the plurality of merchants and at the visited merchant retrieves the document in the electronic form from the mail system to a computing device at the visited merchant. The recipient then reviews and executes the document at the visited merchant, and sends the executed document in an electronic form to the organization by way of the visited merchant and the computing device thereat.

Abstract: There is provided an identifier authenticating system in which information requesting users can share all the predetermined information held in a plurality of information providing servers. In the identifier authentication system, when an identifier holding user 18 presents an identifier to an information requesting server 16, the information requesting server 16 asks a location management server 14 about a location of the information providing server 15, the location management server 14 returns confirmed IP address of the information providing server 15 to the information requesting server 16 based on the location information, and the information requesting server 16 utilizes the confirmed IP address to access the information providing server 15 corresponding to the confirmed IP address, and receives predetermined information corresponding to the presented identifier and a disclosure level from the accessed information providing server 15.
