  • Publication number: 20240163186
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for routing event data from cloud-based sources to various service providers without using a permanently dedicated server (or similar solution). The solution disclosed herein is source agnostic, meaning that the data being received can be from any provider of cloud-based data, with the data received being in a format specific to the given provider. The system can normalize the data from the respective sources into a common format based on properties on the data and, based on the normalized data, identify what type of analysis, process, or other service should be executed on data received. The system can then forward the data to respective service providers for the execution of those services.

  • Publication number: 20240160949
Abstract: Technical limitation of conventional Gradient-Based Meta Learners is their inability to adapt to scenarios where input tasks are sampled from multiple distributions. Training multiple models, with one model per distribution adds to the training time owing to increased compute. A method and system for generating meta-subnets for efficient model generalization in a multi-distribution scenario using Binary Mask Perceptron (BMP) technique or a Multi-modal Meta Supermasks (MMSUP) technique is provided. The BMP utilizes an adaptor which determines a binary mask, thus training only those layers which are relevant for given input distribution, leading to improved training accuracy in a cross-domain scenario. The MMSUP, further determines relevant subnets for each input distribution, thus, generalizing well as compared to standard MAML. The BMP and MMSUP, beat Multi-MAML in terms of training time as they train a single model on multiple distributions as opposed to Multi-MAML which trains multiple models.

  • Publication number: 20240161125
Abstract: The present disclosure a method for data regulations-aware cloud storage and processing service allocation. Conventional approaches fail to address the technical problem of data placement for storage as well as processing, considering multiple criteria. Further, the conventional approaches fail to address compliance with data regulations, tier pricing policy for multiple Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) which impacts storage and processing center selection and constraint satisfaction. The present disclosure proposes a joint optimization model for the selection of storage and processing services from multiple cloud service providers, taking into practical consideration of data regulations and tiered pricing, which has not been addressed in the prior art. To solve this hard multi-objective combinatorial optimization problem, the present disclosure utilizes a cost-reduction-based algorithm for obtaining optimal solution.

  • Publication number: 20240160708
Abstract: A system and method for detecting and prevent identity theft attempts, such as phishing, vishing or other similar attacks is disclosed. A smart device, such as a smartphone operates in tandem with a biometric sensor, such as is included in a wearable device like a smartwatch or fitness tracker. The wearable tracks certain biometric and/or physiological data that can be used to identify whether the user is in a stressed state. The smart device then accesses usage logs that may indicate whether the stressed state is justified, such as whether the user had a calendar appointment at that time, or whether the call was received from a known contact etc. Justifications reduce the likelihood that the user's stress is a result of an identity theft attempt, whereas lack of justification increases the likelihood. In the latter scenario, the user is notified not to divulge sensitive information.

  • Publication number: 20240159555
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for training machine learning models using precision data based on movement and timing of data collection. The system trains the machine learning model to predict object locations in an environment. The training data includes location data, timing data, and motion data, collection of which is triggered by a user input indicating that a particular object was located. The system generates precision parameters for the locations by assigning initial values to entries within the training data and may lower precision parameters based on the timing data indicating that an object was located faster than a threshold time or based on the motion data indicating that a rate of motion exceeded a threshold rate when a corresponding object was located. The system may update the training data with the lowered precision parameters and train the machine learning model to predict the object locations within the environment.

  • Patent number: 11983695
Abstract: The embodiments disclosed herein use WiFi signals detected from nearby WiFi networks to confirm the identity of a bank's customer logging in to his or her account at the bank. Specifically, the customer's computing device may detect signals from neighboring WiFi networks. The bank may then verify that the customer's accounts are being accessed from the customer's home or office by comparing the list of neighboring WiFi networks to a previously stored list of the neighboring networks. If the lists match, it is probable that the customer's accounts are being accessed from the customer's home or office, thus reducing the possibility that a fraudulent actor is trying to access the customer's accounts.

  • Patent number: 11983169
Abstract: Methods and systems disclosed herein may optimize write operations in a transaction to reduce the number of operations to the point where each of the write operations may be performed in parallel. The writer optimizer may review a first write operation and a second write operation to determine whether the first write operation and the second write operation write to the same row in the same table. When the first write operation and the second write operation write to the same row in the same table, the first write operation and the second write operation may be combined to generate a functionally-equivalent third write operation. The third write operation may reduce the number of operations in the transaction by replacing both the first write operation and the second write operation.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for preemptively evaluating whether roles are over-privileged within an (IAM) identity and access management system. Roles may be over-privileged when they are granted permissions to perform certain actions outside the scope granted to those roles. The evaluation occurs without submitting the certain actions to the IAM system and allows roles to be evaluated on a preemptive basis so that corrective actions may be taken to prevent unauthorized access to resources. Roles may be associated with policies which may each define different permissions for accessing resources. The evaluation may involve generating an effective policy from the policies associated with a role to provide a comprehensive view of all permissions associated with the role.
