    Abstract: A temperature management system for managing the temperature of a discrete, thermal component. The temperature management system comprises a heat exchanger thermally coupled with the thermal component. The system also comprises a fluid transfer device that circulates a coolant fluid through a thermal conduit system. As the coolant flows through the heat exchanger, it absorbs heat from the component. Upon exiting the heat exchanger, the heated coolant flows to the beat sink where the heat sink absorbs heat from the coolant fluid.

    Abstract: A method for communicating with a downhole device is provided. The method includes predefining an encoding language including codes understandable to the device, the codes represented in the language as predefined value combinations of drill string rotation variables such as rotation rate or duration. The method further includes rotating a drill string at first and second rates and measuring the rotation rates downhole. The first measured rotation rate is processed downhole in combination with the second measured rotation rate to acquire a code in the language at the downhole device. Embodiments of the invention are useful, for example, for transmitting commands from the surface to a downhole device such as a directional drilling tool. Exemplary embodiments of this invention advantageously provide for quick and accurate communication with a downhole device without substantially interrupting the drilling process.

The source of electrosurgical energy correspondingly supplies an amount of electrosurgical energy to the electrocautery blade dependant upon the electrical output signal.

The method further comprises modeling the supercharge pressure of the formation using the dynamic properties of the mudcake. The method further comprises determining the supercharge pressure of the formation using the supercharge pressure model. The formation pressure test tool may be conveyed into the borehole using wireline technology or on a drill string. Using the supercharge pressure, the drawdown test may be optimized, the characteristics of the drilling fluid altered, or the measurements of other sensors adjusted.

    Abstract: A dental floss dispenser cap for attachment to a toothpaste tube. The dental floss dispenser cap according to certain embodiments of the invention, comprises a housing and an annular base. Upstanding walls form a cylindrical protrusion and a cavity dimensioned to receive the cap of a toothpaste tube underneath. A spool of floss may be placed on the cylindrical protrusion for rotation and dispensing. A cover may be attached to the housing by a first hinge. The cover preferably comprises a notch opening for the dental floss to pass through and a metal cutting member such as a lance mounted to the cover. A lid may be attached to the cover by a second hinge. The lid can be opened and closed to access the dental floss and protect it from contamination when not in use as desired.
