Abstract: A threaded connection assembly comprises a nut, a multiplier connected to the nut via a first threaded interface having a first number of threads per inch and a well servicing pipe coupling connected to the multiplier via a second threaded interface having a second number of threads per inch. A method of forming a threaded connection for a well servicing application comprises forming a pipe coupling between two well servicing pipe sections and threading a connector to the pipe coupling to form a threaded connection without impact loading the connector. Another method for forming a threaded connection comprises disposing a first pipe section partially within a nut, threading a multiplier into the nut, threading the multiplier onto a second pipe section, and leveraging the multiplier against the nut, or vice versa.

Abstract: Aerosol delivery systems and methods for delivering an agent to a patient are described herein. The present invention includes embodiments comprising an insulated receptacle connected to a body to hold a vial of an agent to be delivered to a patient. The vial is located in an inverted position within the receptacle and connected to the housing. One or more reusable thermal packs can be located on the inner sides of the receptacle, to maintain a selected temperature surrounding the vial. The agent is administered to a patient by placing a prong into one of the patient's orifices and then activating an aerosol delivery system. Such systems comprise jet aerosolization and pneumatic and ultrasonic nebulizers and preferably are portable.

Abstract: A valve gate assembly is provided for regulating a flow of molten material through a gate and into a mold. The valve gate assembly includes a movable valve having a closed position closing the gate to prevent molten material from entering the mold and an opened position opening the gate to allow molten material to enter the mold. The valve gate assembly further includes a biasing assembly operatively cooperating with the valve and providing a force to urge the valve in the closed position. The valve has a shoulder for cooperating with the molten material to create backpressure to move the valve against the force to the open position.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for providing a RF module configured to convert a nontraditional transaction device for traditional transaction completion. The RF module is placed in physical and logical communication with a microprocessor of a nontraditional transaction device for receiving a personalization file to enable the RF module to complete RF transactions. In an exemplary embodiment, the microprocessor is configured to receive the personalization file from a mobile device account provider subsequent to an end user establishing communication with the device account provider and notifying the provider that a RF module is to be personalized. The mobile device account provider may receive the personalization file from a RF module account issuer and provide the personalization file to the RF module via the mobile device microprocessor.

Abstract: An armor system is provided for installation in a vehicle having a body structure. The armor system includes frame members joined to form a framework having openings. The framework is joined to the inside of the body structure of the vehicle. Brackets are joined to the frame members. A number of armor plates are provided, which are configured to cover the openings of the framework. Each plate is joined to at least one of the brackets, so that gaps between the armor plates are overlapped by the frame members.
Abstract: An improved oxidizer for liquid reduction-oxidation desulphurization processes uses a hollow fiber membrane contactor. A pressurized, oxygen containing gas stream is introduced into the interior of the hollow fiber membrane while a liquid reduction-oxidation catalyst solution contacts the exterior of the membrane. Oxygen diffuses through the membrane into the liquid reduction-oxidation catalyst solution whereby the solution is oxidized and can be recycled for further us in a desulphurization process.

Abstract: Methods and compositions for reducing the viscosity of subterranean treatment fluids that comprise a gelling agent utilizing breakers that comprise hydroquinone and/or a derivative thereof. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method comprising: providing a treatment fluid that comprises an aqueous base fluid and a gelling agent; providing a breaker that comprises a hydroquinone component; allowing the breaker to interact with the treatment fluid; and allowing the breaker to at least partially reduce the viscosity of the treatment fluid.
Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are disclosed which implement a training session for training a user to validate assumptions. First, a plurality of stimuli are presented to a user in the context of a simulation. The user is then prompted to enter responses to the stimuli which are subsequently recorded The user is then allowed to enter assumptions that form a basis of the responses. Next, the user is prompted to enter information on how to validate the assumptions which is subsequently received. Feedback is then outputted based on the stimuli and responses. Such feedback relates to appropriate assumptions and information on how to validate the appropriate assumptions. As an option, the feedback may be further based on a number of assumptions entered.

Abstract: A novel gene, PB39, that is up-regulated, or over-expressed, in prostate cancer has been identified. The gene has been identified by means of its cDNA obtained by reverse transcription of the corresponding mRNA. Microdissection of prostate glands that had been surgically removed from prostate cancer patients revealed a novel up-regulated transcript in an aggressive prostate carcinoma. Differential analysis for the presence of this gene was carried out from the same glands by comparing transcription in microdissected normal prostatic epithelium versus that in microdissected invasive tumor. The transcript was over-expressed in 5 of 10 prostate carcinomas examined. A variant transcript was over-expressed in 4 of 4 prostate carcinomas, and was found in 1 of 4 normal samples.
