  • Publication number: 20240169128
Abstract: Physics informed machine learning faces challenges in real industrial environment and in digital twins where the systems are far more complex. Physics of the process is multi-dimensional, multi-material and multi-phenomena. Therefore, building physics informed machine learning models is challenging as it needs to be developed from scratch for each new system or for each significant change in the process/equipment. Once built, the models are not suitable for real-time dynamic changes in operating conditions. Therefore, embodiments herein provide a method and system that can enable quick development of Physics Informed Digital Twin (PIDT) models that are generalized, do not need re-training for dynamic conditions in the industrial plants, can learn from multiple data sources, equipment, and materials. On top of this, the method and system can enable Physics Informed Digital Twin (PIDT) models to learn and update themselves with minimal human intervention in digital twin environments.

  • Publication number: 20240168444
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method and system for hybrid data augmentation for estimating performance degradation in industrial plant. Performance degradation in industrial plants cannot be measured by sensors or laboratory measurements and there are no methods to annotate performance degradation state. The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a knowledge-based data augmentation that use physics based information to model performance degradation. The disclosed method augments high fidelity data with knowledge-based methods into high and low confidence data which are used to calculate performance score of high confidence data. A physics-informed machine learning model is trained on high confidence data. The resulting model is then used to predict performance score for low confidence data. The model is further used for training prognostics and diagnostics models to predict and identify root causes responsible for performance degradation.

  • Publication number: 20240168743
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for identifying deployed software packages. In some embodiments, a server receives a request to identify a variance between a current list of deployed software packages stored in a database and software packages associated with a docker image. The current list of deployed software packages indicates a respective layer and a respective docker image of each software package in the list. Furthermore, the server identifies a first layer of the one or more layers that is absent from the database and downloads the first layer. The server unpacks the first layer to identify a first set of software packages from the plurality of software packages corresponding to the first layer and updates the current list of deployed software packages to include the first set of software packages.

  • Publication number: 20240170108
Abstract: Traditional drug discovery methods are target-based, time- and resource-intensive, and require a lot of resources for the initial hit molecule identification. Phenotype-based drug screening requires differential gene expression data of a large number of molecules for different combinations of cell-line, time point and dosage. Experimentally obtaining gene expression data for all these combinations is again a heavily resource-intensive process. The technical challenge in conventional methods that use prediction models is that they depend largely on the data processing and representation. The disclosure herein generally relates to drug-like molecule screening, and, more particularly, to a method and system for gene expression and machine learning-based drug screening. The embodiment, thus, provides a mechanism of a small molecule-induced gene expression prediction based on machine learning models.

  • Publication number: 20240167713
Abstract: Use of Physics Informed Neural networks (PINNs) to control building systems is non-trivial, as basic formalism of PINNs is not readily amenable to control problems. Specifically, exogenous inputs (e.g., ambient temperature) and control decisions (e.g., mass flow rates) need to be specified as functional inputs to the neural network, which may not be known a priori. The input feature space could be very high dimensional depending upon the duration (monthly, yearly, etc.) and the (min-max) range of the inputs. The disclosure herein generally relates to Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) equipment, and, more particularly, to method and system for physics aware control of HVAC equipment. The system generates a neural network model based on a plurality of exogeneous variables from the HVAC. The generated neural network model is then used to generate the one or more control signal recommendations, which are further used to control operation of the HVAC.
