Abstract: A pipe cleaning apparatus can be used to clean and service an interior surface of a pipe. The apparatus has cleaning nozzle that spray the interior surface of the pipe as they rotate around a central axis. Drive wheels allow the apparatus to traverse the pipe in a longitudinal direction. Further, guide wheels keep the apparatus positioned within the pipe. Adjustable mechanisms allow the wheels to adapt to different size pipes. A drive shaft, air motor, and worm gears coordinate the movement of the apparatus to the speed of the cleaning nozzles, which varies depending on the diameter of the pipe.

Abstract: To maintain a healthy and safe battery, the Battery Management System (BMS) require numerous sensors which is a costly process. Immersion cooling applications where the battery stack is cooled with a dielectric coolant fluid has complex flow patterns that are not modeled easily without high fidelity modeling. The present disclosure provides a solution by combining physics-based and data-driven techniques. Initially, a first reduced subspace and a second first reduced subspace are extracted from the high-fidelity or full-order model (FOM) data with the help of proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) in offline. Further, the dynamics of the reduced spaces (first reduced subspace and the second reduced subspace) are captured by computing the reduced coefficients. The reduced coefficients are computed by solving the reduced order equations. The reduced model is solved in the same manner as the high-fidelity or FOM model. The reduced-order solution is constructed once the reduced coefficients are obtained.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to a method and system for sensing alcohol intoxication and raising an alert. State-of-the-art methods for detecting alcohol intoxication majorly includes breath alcohol devices, bodily fluid testing, transdermal sensors, mathematical algorithms, and optical techniques. However, the impact of alcohol is not same for all but differs based on individuals' physiological traits and capacity to tolerate. Personalized systems that can sense alcohol intoxication based on individuals present alcohol consumption activity as well as the past history of consumption is not yet achieved. The proposed method of sensing the alcohol intoxication state of the subject is based on cumulative scoring technique using sensors and applications pre-installed in an GPS enabled wearable device and a mobile device. The method also triggers an alert to the subject consuming alcohol as well as to an emergency contact about altered physical and cognitive functioning under the influence of the alcohol.
