Abstract: Methods and systems may be used for transfer learning of neural networks. According to one example, a method includes: grouping data objects of a first training set into a plurality of clusters; training a base model using a first cluster of the plurality of clusters, the base model being a neural network having a plurality of nodes; generalizing the base model to obtain a generalized base model, the generalizing the base model including setting a portion of the plurality of nodes to have random or predetermined weights; determining that the first cluster is, out of the plurality clusters, most similar to a second training set; and training the generalized base model using the second training set to obtain a trained model.

In a storage configuration, the mouth end portion of at least one of the first inhalation device or the second inhalation device is removably coupled to the other inhalation device. In an active configuration, the upstream end portion of at least one of the first inhalation device or the second inhalation device is removably coupled to the other inhalation device. A connector hub may couple the inhalation devices.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques for network strengthening, such as by detecting issues with one or more network components and reconfiguring one or more upstream or downstream network components to preempt issues with the one or more upstream or downstream network components, for instance. Some embodiments are particularly directed to a tool (e.g., strengthening agent) that implements pre-scripted or dynamic hardening of up and downstream dependencies of a network component in response to an issue identified with the network component. In many embodiments, up and downstream components of a network component may be reconfigured while the issue with the network component is being addressed to preempt issues with the up and downstream components.

Abstract: A method for prioritized updating of a node graph data structure includes storing a node graph comprising a plurality of patient nodes and a plurality of attribute nodes; receiving, by the one or more processors, a set of data from one or more data sources, each of the one or more data sources corresponding to a different clinic visited by one or more patients represented in the node graph; inserting a first piece of data regarding a first patient having a first patient node in the node graph into a first queue and a second piece of data regarding a second patient having a second patient node in the node graph into a second queue; and updating the node graph with the first piece of data prior to updating the node graph with the second piece of data.

Abstract: A stream monitor device includes at least one processor configured to implement a get stream module, which obtains, from a streaming server, stream records associated with media streams to be monitored. The at least one processor is further configured to implement a stream monitor module configured to perform event-driven monitoring of monitored media streams. The at least one processor is further configured to implement a graphical user interface (GUI) module that generates displays related to a status of the monitored media streams.

Abstract: A process is provided for protecting a primate host from a self-replicating infection by an immunodeficiency retrovirus. Protection is achieved by administering to the primate host a combination of a pharmaceutically effective amount of a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor and a pharmaceutically effective amount of a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor prior to exposure to the immunodeficiency retrovirus. The administration is effective if provided in a single dose within 24 hours of the exposure. A regime of regular daily doses is also effective in providing protection against an immunodeficiency retrovirus becoming self-replicating after infecting a primate host.

Logic may provide a historical label performance database comprising performance data associated with each assignee in a complete set of assignees for each label in a complete set of the hierarchical labels. Logic may generate a first vector for the hierarchical label structure for the document. Logic may generate a second vector for the assignees in an identified set of assignees, comprising each hierarchical label in the predicted set of hierarchical labels for the document, the identified set comprising one or more of the assignees in the complete set of assignees. Logic may perform a similarity search to identify a predicted assignee from the identified set of assignees and logic may predict a selected assignee of the identified set of assignees to associate with the document via the similarity search.

Abstract: Techniques to enable a chat bot system to use metaphors during an interaction with a user are provided. Identification information for the user can be received and can be used to determine a customer group assigned to the user. An initial state of a sequence for resolving an issue of the user can be determined, with the sequence for resolving the issue of the user including a final state wherein the issue of the user is resolved. A metaphor can be selected to include in a question based on the determined customer group assigned to the customer and the determined initial state of the sequence for resolving the issue of the customer. The question can request information from the user relating to the issue of the user. The question can be generated to include the selected metaphor and then provided to the user with a prompt to provide a response.

Abstract: Systems, methods, articles of manufacture for authentication of payment cards. A server may assign, in a database, an expected card identifier to a contactless card, the contactless card associated with an account. The server may receive, from a client device, a request comprising a uniform resource locator (URL), a parameter of the URL comprising a card identifier, wherein the URL is transmitted by the contactless card to the client device. The server may extract the card identifier from the URL and compare the extracted card identifier to the expected card identifier in the database. The server may determine, based on the comparison, that the extracted card identifier matches the expected card identifier. The server may authenticate the request based on the extracted card identifier matching the expected card identifier, and transmit, to the client device, an indication specifying that the request was authenticated.

Abstract: Polypeptides that specifically bind the spike (S) protein of human coronavirus, selected from six camel VHH single domain antibody phage display libraries, are described. The S protein-specific polypeptides disrupt binding of the SARS-CoV-2 and/or SARS-CoV S protein to the cellular receptor ACE2, which is important for neutralization of the virus. Use of the S protein-specific polypeptides for the diagnosis and treatment of SARS-CoV-2 and/or SARS-CoV is described.

Abstract: Methods and fluids for enhancing friction reduction. An example method introduces a treatment fluid into a wellbore tubing disposed in a wellbore. The wellbore tubing is composed of metal ions. The treatment fluid is composed of an aqueous fluid and a metal silicate. The method further includes coating at least a portion of the wellbore tubing with a silicate film produced from the reaction of the metal silicate with the metal ions of the wellbore tubing and then fracturing the subterranean formation.

Abstract: A wellbore sealing device may be designed and manufactured using computer-assisted design and a hybrid of automated manufacturing and molding techniques. In one example, a stress analysis is performed to identify a reinforcement region to be reinforced in a sealing device component. Reinforcement fibers are selectively arranged using automated placement of the fibers in a location within a mold corresponding to the reinforcement region. The sealing device component is then molded, with the reinforcement fibers embedded in a matrix material locking the reinforcement fibers in position within the reinforcement region.

In one example, an operating system (OS) of a device may receive a uniform resource locator (URL) and a cryptogram from a contactless card. The OS may launch an application associated with the URL. The application may transmit the cryptogram to an authentication server. The application may receive a decryption result from the authentication server indicating the authentication server decrypted the cryptogram. Based on the decryption result, the application may request an OTP. The processor may receive an OTP from an OTP generator. The application may receive an input value and compare the input value to a copy of the OTP. The application may determine that the comparison results in a match, and display, based on the determination that the comparison results in the match, one or more attributes of the account.
