Abstract: Examples are described that enable a sales notification application executing on the mobile device to provide an indication of a better price for a product. In the examples, product information may be obtained from product purchase receipts uploaded by mobile devices executing an instance of a sales notification application. Similarities may be determined between the product information received from each product purchase of the plurality of product purchases. The product information from each of the uploaded receipts may be aggregated based on the determined similarity between the product information. A selected product and a location at which the selected product has been purchased previously may be received for comparison to the aggregated information in a product purchase database. A comparison result may be output to the sales notification application. A payment card may be enabled to purchase the selected product.

Abstract: Disclosed are powered gait assistance systems that include a controller, sensors, and a torque applicator (motor, spring, etc.) coupled to a patient's hips, thighs, knee, lower leg, ankle, and/or foot and operable to apply assistive torque to the patient's leg joint(s) to assist the patient's volitional joint actuating muscle output during selected stages of the patient's gait cycle, such that the applied torque improves the patient's leg posture, muscle output, range of motion, and/or other parameters over the gait cycle. The sensors can include a torque sensor that measures torque applied, one or more joint angle sensors, a ground contact sensor that measures ground contact of the patient's foot, and/or other sensors. The controller can determine what stage of the patient's gait cycle the patient's leg is in based on sensor signals and cause the torque applicator to apply corresponding torque to the joint(s) based on the gait cycle stage, sensor inputs, and known patient characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20230421504
Abstract: Heterogeneous cloud storage services offered by different cloud service providers have unique deliverable performance. One key challenge is to find the maximum achievable data transfer rate from one cloud service to another. The disclosure herein generally relates to cloud computing, and, more particularly, to a method and system for parameter tuning in cloud network. The system obtains optimum value of parameters of a source cloud and a destination cloud in a cloud pair, by performing a parameter tuning. The optimum value of parameters and corresponding data transfer rate is used as a training data to generate a data model. The data model processes real-time information with respect to cloud pairs, and predicts corresponding data transfer rate.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to optimal intraday scheduling of aggregated Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). Owing to their stochastic nature, DERs aggregators are more suited to participate in intraday electricity markets. The current works on DER aggregators trading in intraday markets do not satisfactorily model the different aspects. The disclosure is an optimal trading strategy for aggregators managing heterogeneous DERs to participate in intraday markets. The intraday market is modelled using a joint price-volume dynamics distribution and an optimal bidding strategy is disclosed for the trades/bids placed earlier to be corrected based on the revised forecasts of demand and generation while allowing for energy exchanges within the DER pool. Further the optimal bidding strategy of aggregators in an intraday market is a MINLP problem, which is solved by converting the complex non-linearities in the problem into a coupled MILP—simple maximization set-up, which is then solved in an iterative fashion.

Abstract: Systems and methods for securely generating and printing documents are disclosed. For example, processor(s) of a computer system may receive information for the document from a computing device through a network, verify the information for the document, and upon verification, generate document generation data using at least a portion of the information for the document. The document generation data may include document metadata that enables generation of an image of the document and/or the image of the document. Upon the processor(s) verifying first authentication information of a first code associated with a printing device received from the computing device through the network and second authentication information of a second code associated with the computing device received from the printing device through the network, the processor(s) may transmit the document generation data to the printing device through the network, and cause the printing device to print the image of the document.

Abstract: A system for hydraulically fracturing an underground formation in an oil or gas well, including a pump for pumping hydraulic fracturing fluid into the wellbore, the pump having a pump shaft, and an electric motor with a motor shaft mechanically attached to the pump to drive the pump. The system further includes a torsional coupling connecting the motor shaft to the pump shaft. The torsional coupling includes a motor component fixedly attached to the motor shaft and having motor coupling claws extending outwardly away from the motor shaft, and a pump component fixedly attached to the pump shaft of the pump and having pump coupling claws extending outwardly away from the pump shaft. The motor coupling claws engage with the pump coupling claws so that when the motor shaft and motor component rotate, such rotation causes the pump component and the pump shaft to rotate, thereby driving the pump.
