Abstract: In some embodiments, a system transmits a shared presentation to user devices associated with users. Then, in response to an inquiry from a first user associated with a first viewing device, the system identifies that an answer to this inquiry was covered in a previous portion of the presentation, and generates auxiliary data (e.g., an auxiliary video stream of the shared presentation) corresponding to the previous portion of the presentation. The system then causes the first viewing device to display the auxiliary data corresponding to the previous portion of the presentation, which includes an answer to the first user's inquiry, in lieu of the shared presentation. In an example, the auxiliary data may be played back at a speed that is faster than the default speed of the shared presentation.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for executing entity-specific cryptographic code in a cryptographic coprocessor. In one embodiment, an exemplary method comprises transmitting, from an entity service to a client device, a key identifier and encrypted code that implements a cryptographic algorithm, wherein the encrypted code further includes an encryption key, wherein the key identifier identifies a particular root key that is associated with the entity service and is stored with a cryptographic coprocessor of the client device; receiving, by the entity service from the client device, a cryptogram that includes information encrypted using the cryptographic algorithm and the encryption key; and decrypting, by the entity service, the cryptogram using the encryption key.

Abstract: A method of creating a seal in a tubular by melting a first component comprising a fusible alloy, using heat produced by an exothermic, hydrolysis reaction of a second component comprising a metal, to provide a melted fusible alloy, and allowing the melted fusible alloy to solidify in the tubular, wherein the fusible alloy expands upon solidifying and forms the seal. A system for carrying out the method is also provided.

Abstract: In general, in one aspect, embodiments relate to a method, that includes lowering a tool string down into a wellbore extending into a subterranean formation, where the tool string includes perforating charges, and one or more acoustic emitters, energizing the one or more acoustic emitters to form at least an acoustic signal while the tool string is being drawn up-hole, detecting the acoustic signal with a sensing cable disposed within the wellbore, determining an angular orientation of the tool string relative to the sensing cable based at least in part on the acoustic signal, and detonating at least one of the perforating charges when its firing direction is not directed at the one or more sensing cables.

Abstract: A method for configurable caching, deduplication, and rate limit handling of user interface data requests according to an embodiment includes receiving a data request initiated by a user interface element of a user interface, determining whether a deduplication cache includes a deduplication entry associated with the data request, determining whether a main cache includes a cache entry associated with the data request in response to determining that the deduplication cache does not include the deduplication entry, determining whether the data request is associated with a rate-limited group of application programming interface endpoints in response to determining that the main cache does not include the cache entry or determining that the cache entry has expired, and making the data request to a backend system after a predefined server retry period associated with the rate-limited group has elapsed in response to determining that the data request is associated with the rate-limited group.

Abstract: Systems and methods for searching datasets and classifying datasets are disclosed. For example, a system may include one or more memory units storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform operations. The operations may include receiving a test dataset from a client device and generating a test data model output using a data model, based on the test dataset. The operations may include processing test data model output by implementing an encoding method, a factorizing method, and/or a vectorizing method. The operations may include retrieving a reference data model output from a dataset index, based on a reference dataset. The operations may include generating a similarity metric based on the reference data model output and the test data model output. The operations may include classifying the test dataset based on the similarity metric and transmitting, to the client device, information comprising the classification.

Abstract: A system for polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT) of a sample comprises an interferometric arrangement comprising a reference arm and a sample arm, the sample arm being arranged to emit optical radiation towards the sample; a phase modulation system arranged at an input to the sample arm; and a detector arranged to detect a signal generated by interference between a reference beam from the reference arm and a sample beam from the sample arm. The phase modulation system comprises: an electro-optic modulator; a polarizer arranged at a rotation angle relative to the fast axis of the electro-optic modulator; and a signal generator for delivering a driving voltage to the electro-optic modulator; wherein the rotation angle and the driving voltage are selected such that the phase modulation system generates three mutually orthogonal polarization states.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for novel uses and/or improvements to sharing cryptographic tokens based on user's real-world actions through social media so those real-world actions may be confirmed as authentic (e.g., verified and/or validated). More specifically, methods and systems disclosed herein enable sharing validated user activity by generating and using cryptographic tokens. The system may ensure that the cryptographic tokens verify the user's activity. The system may extract token data of a cryptographic token to post to a social media platform for activity verification. Thus, by using cryptographic tokens of the user's activity data, the system is able to verify the user's activity.

Abstract: Authentication card with integrated cloth. In some aspects, an authentication card for short range wireless communications includes a first card layer comprising a first cutout, a second card layer, and a fabric layer fastened between the first and second card layer, where the fabric layer is exposed through the first cutout. A microchip may be provided on the first card layer, wherein the microchip is coupled with an antenna enabling authentication (e.g., contactless) by employing radio frequency identification (RFID) or near field communication (NFC).

Abstract: An image of a check that is in the field of view of a camera is monitored prior to the image of the check being captured. The camera is associated with a mobile device. When the image of the check in the field of view passes monitoring criteria, an image may be taken by the camera and provided from the mobile device to a financial institution. The image capture may be performed automatically as soon as the image of the check is determined to pass the monitoring criteria. The check may be deposited in a user's bank account based on the image. Any technique for sending the image to the financial institution may be used. Feedback may be provided to the user of the camera regarding the image of the check in the field of view.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of virology. More specifically, the present invention provides methods and compositions useful for prevention and treatment of human cytomegalovirus (CMV). In one embodiment, a pharmaceutical composition comprises (a) emetine or a derivative thereof; (b) a human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) drug; and (c) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In certain embodiments, the pharmaceutical composition further comprises an adjuvant. In a specific embodiment, the HCMV drug is ganciclovir. In such embodiments, emetine is present at about 1/10 to about 1/100 the normal dosage for amebiasis.

Abstract: Methods of identifying a subject with a Filovirus infection are provided herein. In some embodiments, the method comprises contacting a biological sample containing antibodies from the subject with one or more peptides comprising amino acid sequences of selected Filovirus epitopes, detecting the presence or absence of an immune complex of antibodies from the biological sample with the one or more peptides; and wherein the presence of the immune complex identifies the subject as having Filovirus infection and the absence of the immune complex identifies the subject as not having Filovirus infection. Further provided are isolated peptides for use in such methods, as well as a solid support linked to one or more of the disclosed peptides.

For instance, a document being printed out from the printer machine may be monitored for, and a determination that a document is being printed out from the printer machine may be made based on the monitoring. The printed document may be engaged with an arm mechanism of the dispensing device, the printed document may be urged towards a slot of the dispensing device with the arm mechanism, and the printed document may be dispensed out of the slot with the arm mechanism.
