  • Patent number: 10993630
Abstract: A method of determining respiratory rate from a photoplethysmograph signal includes filtering the photoplethysmograph signal to create a filtered photoplethysmograph signal. The method also includes detecting peaks and valleys in the filtered photoplethysmograph signal to extract predetermined features from the filtered photoplethysmograph signal. The method also includes obtaining variation waveforms from the predetermined features. The method also includes removing outliers from each of variation waveforms. The method also includes interpolating for the outliers removed from each of the variation waveforms to acquire a frequency estimation of each of the variation waveforms. The method also includes determining a respiratory rate based on the frequency estimation of each of the variation waveforms. The method also includes determining a weighted average of the respiratory rate the variation waveforms to determine an estimated respiratory rate.

  • Patent number: 10997271
Abstract: To improve efficiency for solving a system of equations, art equation solver uses variable reduction techniques to reduce a number of variables to be solved. The equation solver identifies derived variables and eliminates them from the system of equations. The equation solver considers the remaining variables to be primitive variables. The primitive variables may be rewritten into a representation of the system of equations or into a set of equations that may be used to solve for values of the primitive variables. The equation solver solves for values of the primitive variables. Prior to solving or during solving iterations, the equation solver may apply storage policies to further reduce the number of variables to be solved. The storage policies indicate parameters and techniques for eliminating primitive variables to be solved, such as primitive variables that are insignificant (i.e., have little effect on a solution for the system of equations).

  • Patent number: 10996303
Abstract: Magnetic resonance methods comprise tractographically establishing a path along a structure in a specimen and finding a distribution of structure radii or cross-sectional areas along the path. Based on the distribution and the path, end-to-end functional characteristics of the structure are estimated. For example, nerve transit times or distributions of transit times can be estimated for a plurality of nervous system locations such as Brodmann areas. Comparison of estimated transit times or distributions thereof between reference values or other values from the same structure can be used to assess specimen health.

  • Patent number: 10999371
Abstract: The embodiments provide request multiplexing whereby a server receiving a first request for content clones and issues the cloned request to an origin to initiate retrieval of the content. The first request and subsequent requests for the same content are placed in a queue. The server empties a receive buffer that is populated with packets of the requested content as the packets arrive from the origin by writing the packets directly to local storage without directly distributing packets from the receive buffer to any user. The rate at which the server empties the receive buffer is therefore independent of the rate at which any user receives the packets. A first set of packets written to local storage can then be simultaneously distributed to one or more queued requests as the server continues emptying the receive buffer and writing a second set of packets to local storage.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems, apparatuses and methods for mitigating cyber-attacks. For example, the method includes receiving, from one or more network devices tracking activity on a network, one or more data streams associated with a respective one of the one or more network devices, identifying a security alert from the one or more data streams, the security alert including metadata context describing the network device from the one or more network devices that originated the security alert, analyzing the metadata context to generate a metadata context score. When the security alert is determined to be a security threat event, classifying a type of the security threat event based on the related activity score and the metadata context, and outputting a recommended mitigation course of action based on the classified type of the security threat event.

  • Publication number: 20210125690
Abstract: Diagnosis of rare human diseases using DNA sequencing is a fast growing area of research. Conventional methods carries a risk of incorrect phenotype interpretation. However, obtaining a correct genotype and phenotype matching is challenging. A system for matching phenotype descriptions and pathogenic variants provides a one to one mapping of the phenotype and genotypes of a plurality of subjects under test. Initially, a plurality of phenotypes and a plurality of genome sequences are segmented based on metadata. A phenotype driven gene prioritization and a variant prioritization is applied on the segmented data method. A similarity score is calculated between the phenotype driven gene prioritization output and the variant prioritization output. The similarity score is further utilized to obtain a one to one matching of the plurality of phenotypes and the plurality of genotype sequences of the plurality of subjects under test.

  • Publication number: 20210125389
Abstract: A system and method to create an intelligent cartoon comic strip based on the dynamic content. Herein, the input is conversation-based text or speech files. The system identifies scenes, objects, sequence and flow for generating the comic strip along with gender of characters appearing in the entire conversation. Text is analyzed to create the situational based background image for the scenes that needs to be rendered. Emotion and placement of characters in the scene is decided by the NLP algorithms along with voice emotional and sentimental analysis. Characters are placed in plain canvas and then text dialog is embedded into corresponding text bubbles. Once this image is obtained, it is overlaid on top of the background based on the context. Further, the scenes are joined into a strip of images in a pattern, which depends on the number, and order of scenes, which is decided, based on the input.

  • Publication number: 20210123475
Abstract: In the methods for monitoring a bearing clearance of a roller bearing (4), in particular the bearing clearance of a main bearing of a wind turbine, within the scope of a first measuring series using at least one distance sensor (18), a distance (a, a1, a2) between a rotating part (12) and a stationary part (14) is respectively sensed in at least two different recurring load states (L1, L2), and a difference (?a) between the measured distances (a1, a2) is determined. At a later time the distance measurements are repeated in the same at least two recurring load states (L1, L2) within the scope of a second measuring series. A change in the bearing clearance is inferred on the basis of the changes in the distance difference (?a) within the scope of condition monitoring.
