Abstract: A drilling assembly control system is designed to mitigate drilling vibration by detecting and classifying lateral vibrations. Vibrations are detected along a bottom hole assembly using one or more inertial measurement units, those vibration measurements are classified by lateral vibration type, and mitigating actions are determined.

Abstract: Monitoring patient vital signs is performed by analyzing videos recorded of a patient. An algorithm is used to compute the real-time patient vital signs based on video images of the patient. These images can be captured by a video monitoring device positioned over a patient's bed. The video monitoring device can include a thermal camera and a near infrared camera that continuously send video images to a processing unit. The thermal image is used to locate the patient's face and chest. The images are analyzed with an algorithm employed to determine a patient's heart rate, respiration rate, temperature, and body position.

Abstract: A blending unit is provided. The blending unit comprises two or more discharge pumps. Each of the two or more discharge pumps has a suction inlet fluidly connected to a common proppant fluid supply via a concentrated proppant inlet line, and a discharge outlet fluidly connected to a blender outlet line. Each of the two or more discharge pumps also has an injection port upstream of the discharge pump and configured to inject substantially proppant-free fluid into the concentrated proppant inlet line, an injection port downstream from the discharge pump and configured to inject substantially proppant-free fluid into the blender outlet line, or both the injection port upstream of the discharge pump and an the injection port downstream from the discharge pump.

Abstract: A geosteering subsystem has been designed to detect patterns in measurements that correlate to geological events and use statical analysis to interpret the geological events corresponding to control points and update a geological model based on the statistical analysis-based interpretations. The subsystem evaluates obtained measurements against predetermined patterns that correlate to geological events. If a pattern is detected, the subsystem labels the corresponding wellbore position and/or measurements as a control point and passes on the measurements for interpretation. The subsystem generates interpretations of the control point based on the measurements and historic control points. For each interpretation, the subsystem generates a pseudo log based on offset logs. The subsystem then generates a posterior probability for each interpretation based on evaluating the corresponding pseudo log with respect to the measurements and formation knowledge.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable medium has instructions that, when executed by processing circuitry, are configured to cause the processing circuitry to perform operations that include determining net electric power consumption associated with a first consumer, determining that the net electric power consumption associated with the first consumer is below a threshold level, reducing central electric power distributed from a central electric power source to the first consumer to obtain additional central electric power in response to determining that the net electric power consumption associated with the first consumer is below the threshold level, and distributing the additional central electric power to a second consumer in response to reducing the central electric power distributed to the first consumer.

Abstract: A vehicle lift comprising a movement system configured to be installed in a pit in the ground, a platform engaged with the movement system and movable entering to and exiting from the pit, at least one arm carried by the platform and configured for contacting a vehicle to be lifted. The arm is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The lift comprises a stop movable relative to the platform between a grip position where it engages the arm and a release position where it disengages the arm. The lift comprises an actuator carried by the platform and active on the stop to move said stop between the grip position and the release position.

Abstract: Systems, methods, articles of manufacture for authentication of payment cards. A server may assign, in a database, an expected card identifier to a contactless card, the contactless card associated with an account. The server may receive, from a client device, a request comprising a uniform resource locator (URL), a parameter of the URL comprising a card identifier, wherein the URL is transmitted by the contactless card to the client device. The server may extract the card identifier from the URL and compare the extracted card identifier to the expected card identifier in the database. The server may determine, based on the comparison, that the extracted card identifier matches the expected card identifier. The server may authenticate the request based on the extracted card identifier matching the expected card identifier, and transmit, to the client device, an indication specifying that the request was authenticated.

The downhole ESP assembly comprises a permanent magnet motor (PMM) comprising a first drive shaft, a stator, and a rotor disposed within the stator and comprising a core coupled to the first drive shaft, wherein the core retains a first permanent magnet element within a first magnet pocket defined by the core that extends axially parallel to the first drive shaft and retains a second permanent magnet element within a second magnet pocket defined by the core that extends axially parallel to the first drive shaft; a seal section having a second drive shaft coupled to the first drive shaft; and a pump assembly having a third drive shaft coupled to the second drive shaft.

Abstract: Aspects described herein may allow for authenticating a user by generating a customized set of authentication questions based on patterns that are automatically detected and extracted from user data. The user data may include transaction data collected over a period of time. By automatically detecting user patterns that correspond to user behavior over a period of time, an authentication system may be able to generate information that is recognizable to an authentic user but difficult to guess or circumvent for any other user.

Abstract: The current embodiments include systems and techniques for sharing information between vendors where the information is siloed due organizational constraints. Vendors that provide services for one entity of an organization may be unknown to another entity within the same organization. The systems and techniques provided herein facilitate sharing of this information of the vendor across various entities in the organization.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques for creating and utilizing multidimensional embedding spaces for data objects, such as to condition the data for input to a neural network, for instance. Some embodiments are particularly directed to detecting data types for structured data based on learned metadata. In many embodiments, an embedding space for a set of data objects may be customized with a set of dimensions that correspond to various characteristics of the set of data objects. For example, a set of data objects may correspond to a table with each data object corresponding to a data entry in the table. In such examples, correlations between different columns and/or within a column of data may be identified and utilized as metadata to improve classifications by the neural network.

Abstract: A system for root cause analysis based on process optimization data is provided. The system receives log data associated with a first trace between a first activity and a second activity of a process. The system further determines a state of inefficiency between the first activity and the second activity based on the received log data. The system further applies a first machine learning (ML) model on the received log data. The system further determines a first label and a first value to be associated with the first trace of the process based on the application of the first ML model. The system further generates presentation data associated with the determined state of inefficiency of the first trace based on the determination of the first label and the first value and further transmits the generated presentation data on a user device.

Abstract: A magnetic coupling mechanism in a downhole flow control tool comprising a first chamber within a flow path of wellbore fluids with a first component comprising a Halbach array of magnets. A second chamber isolated from the wellbore environment comprises a second component with a Halbach array of magnets. The first chamber and the second chamber are coupled with a nonmagnetic separation. The second component is translated with the first component by a strong magnetic flux produced by the array of magnets.

Abstract: A delegated biometric authentication system and related methods are disclosed. Using the system, a user can securely delegate biometric authentication to a public device from his communication device. This public device may be an Internet of things device that is not owned by the user, such as a computer, smart TV, tablet, etc. The public device may operate in a public place, such as a hotel or library. The communication device may be the users own smartphone or tablet, etc. A fuzzy vault process can be used to store the user's biometric template in the system Embodiments preserver the user's privacy without compromising authentication security and user convenience.

Abstract: Provided are biomarkers for parenteral nutrition associated cholestasis (PNAC) in subjects, especially infants receiving parenteral nutrition (PN). Using such biomarkers provide methods of diagnosing and/or assessing risk of PNAC in a subject, including screening a sample from a subject believed to be at risk for PNAC for one or more biomarkers of PNAC. The biomarkers can include one or more fecal metabolites. Such biomarkers and associated methods provide neonatal intensive care unit clinicians with an additional tool for early identification of PNAC risk. Early identification of high-risk infants would enable clinicians to confidently optimize caloric nutrition with PN for infants at low risk of developing PNAC and enable proactive mitigation with alterations to the administered PN.

Abstract: In a method for broadcasting account provisioning information, user datum encryption information is transmitted to a plurality of account processing systems. A request to share account provisioning information is received from a user device associated with an account holder. A user datum of the account holder is encrypted using the encryption information and transmitted to the account processing systems. A response is received from at least one of the account processing systems, the response including an indication that the account holder has a transaction account processed by that account processing system. A request for confirmation that the account provisioning information should be shared is sent to the user device and a confirmation response is received from the user device that includes permission to share account provisioning information. Account provisioning information is then transmitted to one or more of the account processing systems.
