Patent number: 12288118Abstract: A method for manufacturing an antenna for an RFID device includes providing a conductive material on a substrate and performing a first cutting process on the conductive material to define an initial antenna. Additional cutting processes are performed on the initial antenna to define a final antenna, with the first and any subsequent cutting processes being different. The subsequent cutting processes are capable of more finely defining regions of the antenna, such as in some embodiments when the first cutting process is a die cutting process and a second cutting process is a laser cutting process. While the subsequent cutting processes are capable of more finely defining regions of the antenna than the first cutting process. By combining multiple cutting processes, a final antenna equivalent to one made using only one or more of the subsequent cutting processes may be created at a lower cost.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2020Date of Patent: April 29, 2025Assignee: Avery Dennison Retail Information Services LLCInventors: Ian Forster, Edward McGinniss

Patent number: 12289216Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for modifying scheduled events based on bandwidth availability. To modify the scheduled event, the system determines a plurality of user devices corresponding to an event. The system receives first network conditions for a first user device and generates a feature input based on the first network conditions. The system inputs the feature input into an artificial intelligence model to determine a first available bandwidth metric and aggregates the first available bandwidth metric with respective available bandwidth metrics for other user devices of the plurality of user devices to determine a composite available bandwidth metric. The system can compare the composite available bandwidth metric to a threshold available bandwidth metric and in response to determining that the composite available bandwidth metric equals or exceeds the threshold available bandwidth metric, the system generates for display, on a user device interface, a recommendation for modifying the event.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2023Date of Patent: April 29, 2025Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Galen Rafferty, Samuel Sharpe, Jeremy Goodsitt, Grant Eden, Austin Walters
