Abstract: A method of ranking a plurality of regulated data sources and a plurality of non-regulated data sources for a data field is provided. The method evaluates consistency and assigns a ranking for a regulated data source based upon records having identical values and records having non-identical values for the data field in the regulated data source compared to other regulated data sources under analysis. The method further evaluates consistency and assigns a ranking for a non-regulated data source based upon records having identical values compared to other non-regulated data sources under analysis.

Abstract: A refrigerant recovery unit is provided that can recover and recharge refrigerant. The unit is further configured with a pair of service hoses and a refrigerant control circuit operable to receive and transport the refrigerant between the hoses and the storage vessel and to process the refrigerant to substantially remove contaminants from the refrigerant. A fluid connector is provided in fluid communication with the hoses to enable the refrigerant to flow between the hoses and to establish a closed loop through the refrigerant control circuit, and a controller is operatively connected to the refrigerant control circuit and configured to control a flow of the refrigerant through the refrigerant control circuit and through the fluid connector.

Abstract: The present description refers in particular to a computer-implemented method, a computer program product, and an embedded system for increasing the speed of data retrieval by a client on the embedded system. The embedded system executes a client and an intermediary, wherein the client and the intermediary are executed separately, and wherein the intermediary manages the storing component. A request may be received from the client at the intermediary, for a first content element of a document. The intermediary determines whether the first content element is stored in a storing component and when the first content element is stored in the storing component: retrieves the first content element from the storing component; and sends the first content element from the intermediary to the client.

Abstract: The present invention relates to use of two microRNAs in detection of lung cancer prognosis and in medicine preparation. Particularly, the invention relates to a composition comprising two small RNA molecules microRNA-150 and microRNA-886-3p, a device comprising the composition used in detection of lung cancer prognosis and in preparation of medicaments for inhibiting mammal and human lung cancer metastasis. Specifically, the expression levels of microRNA-150 and microRNA-886-3p can be used as the prognostic criteria of lung cancer prognosis, wherein high expression level of the gene combination indicates favorable therapeutic effect. The invention also relates to a device detecting the expression levels of microRNA-150 and microRNA-886-3p in mammalian and human lung cancer and a method for detecting the expression levels of microRNA-150 and microRNA-886-3p in samples.

Abstract: Authorization limits on the use of a financial transaction instrument, such as a credit card and the like, may be set by an owner of a financial account corresponding to the financial transaction instrument. The owner provides information identifying the owner, the financial account, and the financial transaction instrument corresponding to the financial account to a computer, and also provides an owner-defined authorization limit on use of the financial transaction instrument to the computer. The authorization limit is stored in a database, which is accessed when there is a request to authorize a purchase to be made with the financial transaction instrument. The owner may communicate with the computer via a Web site, an automated call program, a kiosk, or the like.

Abstract: A data quality management system includes a rules repository configured to store profiling data quality rules, cleansing data quality rules, and linking data that links profiling data quality rules to cleansing data quality rules. The data quality management system also includes a rules management module configured to manage the rules repository. The data quality management system further includes a data quality job management module configured to migrate data quality rules from the rules repository to a data quality processing system and manage a data quality process performed by the data quality processing system using the migrated data quality rules.

Abstract: A method for purging of, and debris removal from, a hole created with laser energy in which a swirling purge gas stream is provided in a hole containing debris to be removed, imparting a swirl to the debris and lifting the debris from a bottom of the hole. In accordance with one embodiment, the purge gas is swirled in a purge gas nozzle providing purge gas into the hole. In accordance with another embodiment of this invention, the purge gas is swirled directly in the hole.

Abstract: Disclosed are the simian T-cell lymphotropic virus type 3 subtype D (STLV-3 subtype D), isolated nucleic acid molecules encoding STLV-3 subtype D polypeptides, such as STLV-3 subtype D envelope, protease, polymerase, tax, rex, and capsid polypeptides, isolated polypeptides encoded by such nucleic acids. Methods are also disclosed for detecting STLV-3 subtype D, for example by detecting a STLV-3 subtype D nucleic acid or polypeptide in the sample. Accordingly, probes, primers, and antibodies for use in detecting STLV-3 subtype D nucleic acids or polypeptides are disclosed. Therapeutic compositions which included isolated nucleic acid molecules encoding a STLV-3 subtype D polypeptides or isolated polypeptides encoded by such nucleic acid molecules are also disclosed.

Abstract: A system for remotely authenticating credit card transactions of a consumer comprises at least one subsystem that alerts the consumer via a communication device of the consumer when a credit card transaction that meets certain criteria is being attempted on the consumer's credit card account. Also, a system for remotely authenticating credit card transactions of a consumer may comprise at least one subsystem that receives an authorization request from a merchant for completing the credit card transaction and at least one subsystem that disallows the transaction to complete if a response is received from the consumer rejecting the transaction. The communication device may be a cell phone, computer, PDA, land line telephone, or any other communication device.

Abstract: Process for introducing a solid polymerization catalyst into a gas-phase fluidized bed using an injection device having an inner tube of internal cross-sectional area of 10 to 100 mm2 and an outer tube forming an annulus around the inner tube with a cross-sectional area of 1 to 10 times the internal cross-sectional area of the inner tube. The polymerization catalyst and a carrier gas are passed through the inner tube and into the gas-phase fluidized bed at a carrier gas linear velocity of 4 to 14 m/s and a carrier gas mass flow rate of 10-35 kg/h. A shielding gas is passed through the outer tube and into the gas-phase fluidized bed at a linear velocity of 1 to 10 times the carrier gas linear velocity through the inner tube and at a mass flow rate of 100-500 kg/h. No cooled recycle process gas is provided to the injection device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring transaction data and providing an indication regarding a performance parameter to a payment processing entity. Transaction data associated with a plurality of transactions conducted during a time interval is received. A server computer determines that the received transaction data meets a threshold. It is further determined whether a previous indication that the threshold has been met was provided to a payment processing entity, the previous indication being associated with a plurality of previous transactions conducted during a previous time interval. If the previous indication was not provided, an indication that the threshold has been met is provided to the payment processing entity, the indication including information regarding a performance parameter of the payment processing entity.

Abstract: A simplified manufacturing technique to directly form a unitized composite structure with at least one relatively flat surface and at least one sinuous element in an internally-bonded unitized composite is provided. A matrix of fibrous and or other materials is deposited in layers which are subsequently formed into corrugated or wave-like shapes and exposed to an activation step. At least one element is composed of a contractive material which shrinks when activated, such as by heating in an oven, to become relatively flat and optionally bonded to at least one other non-contractive layer which remains in a sinuous shape after the activation step.

Abstract: The present invention provides a device for iontophoretic delivery of a drug to on into a tissue, comprising an arrangement that prevents operation of the device at a current density that is higher than a predetermined value, the arrangement including first means responsive to a first data item, indicative of the surface area through which the current is to pass, as to set the maximal current allowed at the surface area indicated by the data item. The present invention also provides a method for iontophorectivally administering drug to or into a tissue, comprising determination of a maximal allowed level of current density and preventing application of current density above the maximal allowed level.

Abstract: There is described a sample holder and associated fluid container assembly for optical analysis of a fluid sample within a translucent container of the fluid container assembly. The sample holder includes clamping members rotatably mounted to a frame for rotation, about parallel axes spaced apart from each other, between a container accepting position in which the clamping members are spaced apart from the translucent container, and an analysis position in the clamping members abut the translucent container. The clamping members each define an optical waveguide slot extending therethrough that is substantially aligned with the translucent container when the clamping members are disposed in the analysis position, to thereby provide optical access to the translucent container for optical analysis of the fluid sample therein.

The cluster box unit may also include outgoing mail compartment doors that are heavily constructed and rigidly reinforced, with the locks carried thereon protectively shielded, and with the extensible bolts of these locks being engaged by brackets that not only lock the outgoing mail compartment doors but also the master loading doors of the cluster box units. The cluster box unit may also include master loading doors are provided with hinges that extend the full height of the doors—hinges that are defined by pivotally interfitting elements of extrusions that very sturdily mount the master loading doors, that prevent prying or bending the doors in the vicinities of their hinges.

Abstract: The invention is directed to compositions capable of augmenting the immunogenicity of a vaccine. The composition, or adjuvant, is administered to a mammal in need thereof in sequential or concurrent combination with a vaccine antigen. In one preferred aspect, the adjuvant is provided in the form of a recombinant poxvirus vector, such as a vaccinia virus vector, which comprises a nucleic acid sequence encoding IL-15.

Abstract: The present invention includes methods and compositions relating to the setting of fluids or slurries in a wellbore. In one embodiment, a method of isolating a portion a wellbore includes preparing a sealant composition having a fluid component, a polymeric additive constituent, and a set modifier component. The sealant composition is placed into a wellbore and subjected to ionizing radiation. The ionizing radiation can cause bonding between polymeric additive constituents and create a polymer matrix within the sealant composition that increases the mechanical strength of the sealant composition. The ionizing radiation also alters the set modifier component, triggering the thickening of the sealant composition.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for offering transaction account consumers with payment term options to pay a minimum amount due early, defer payment into the following payment cycle, and pay a standard amount when due. When generating a periodic billing statement, the invention determines a consumer's eligibility to elect early payment, deferred payment, and regular payment. When a consumer is eligible for early payment, a received payment is compared to a discount rate tier, then a discount amount is calculated and credited to the consumer's account. When the consumer is eligible for deferred payment, the system calculates a new current minimum payment due by multiplying the current non-deferred balance by a predetermined percentage amount and adding the result to the deferred balance. When the consumer is not eligible for deferred payment, the system calculates a new current minimum due by summing the current non-deferred balance with the deferred balance.

Abstract: A method for monitoring shipments of a plurality of components and enabling assembly of the plurality of components. The method can include the steps of encoding a unique identifier and specification information on each component into a data storage of a GPS device; encoding assembly instructions for each component; attaching the GPS device to the component; actuating each GPS device to provide a longitude and latitude signal to a network; tracking the location of each component; shipping the components while tracking the location of the components until the components reach a designated location; and retrieving from each component assembly instructions, specification information, and inspection information. The method can include assembling the components using the assembly instructions at the designated location, and forming a record of each route used by each component.
