Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include gravel pack assemblies, method to bypass a fluid restrictor during gravel packing operations, and methods to control fluid flow during and after gravel packing operations. In one embodiment, a gravel pack assembly including a flow restrictor that is coupled to a downhole string that is deployed in a borehole is disclosed. The flow restrictor forms a first fluid passageway from the borehole to an internal cavity of the string. The gravel pack assembly includes a fluid bypass portion having a first chamber, a sealing member inserted into the first chamber; and an actuation assembly operable to actuate the sealing member. The fluid bypass portion forms a second fluid passageway from the borehole to the internal cavity of the downhole string prior to actuation of the actuation assembly. After actuation of the actuation assembly, fluid flow through the second fluid passageway is restricted by the sealing member.

Abstract: A tool including a dispersive spectrometer deployable within a wellbore is provided. The dispersive spectrometer includes a waveguide layer to detect electromagnetic radiation according to wavelength. The dispersive spectrometer also includes a plurality of detector elements disposed along the waveguide layer to detect electromagnetic radiation associated with a portion of the wavelength of the electromagnetic radiation. A method for using the tool in a subterranean application is also provided.

Abstract: A system for measuring mechanical properties of rock cuttings includes a vibration platform with an upper surface configured to vibrate a plurality of rock cuttings thereon. The method may include: receiving one or more vehicle images via website data associated with the user; identifying one or more first-level traits from the one or more vehicle images; obtaining one or more vehicle identifications from the one or more vehicle images based on the one or more first-level traits; determining a value of each of the one or more first-level traits and/or the one or more vehicle identifications via one or more algorithms; determining the vehicle suggestion based on the value of each of the one or more first-level traits and/or the one or more vehicle identifications; and transmitting, to a device associated with the user, a notification indicating the vehicle suggestion.
Abstract: Accessibility in software engineering is treated as expensive, time consuming and hence adoption of accessibility, is a challenge despite stringent timelines and regulatory requirements published around the world. Moreover, cost of implementing accessibility increases project cost due to manual intervention and dependency on niche skills, which is scarce in industry. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide system and method for automated identification of applicable accessibility guidelines and determination of remediation techniques for fixing issues in webpages, wherein webpages are rendered, and applicable accessibility guidelines are identified based on user interface elements (UI) comprised in the webpages. Further, content associated with rendered webpages are analyzed using the applicable accessibility applicable guidelines to identify webpage non-compliance issue(s) and remediation technique(s) thereof.
Abstract: A transaction card may monitor an amount of electric current induced in a first near-field communication (NFC) component of a transaction card. Electric current may be induced in the first NFC component when the first NFC component is within an electromagnetic field generated by a second NFC component of a transaction terminal. The transaction card may dynamically activate one or more output components associated with the transaction card based on the amount of electric current induced in the first NFC component. The one or more output components may indicate whether the transaction card can communicate with the transaction terminal. The transaction card may perform an action related to completing a transaction after determining that the amount of electric current induced in the NFC component satisfies a first threshold. The first threshold may indicate that the transaction card can communicate with the transaction terminal.

Abstract: A building appraisal system conducted by a remote inspector located away from a building. A remote user connected to a user on site can share images, measurements and other data to conduct an examination of the building such as an appraisal. A processor coupled to an image sensor can be configured to receive a gross floor area of the building. Images of an interior room of the building are stored in memory. The processor determines a planar surface in the images corresponding to a floor surface of the interior room and a plurality of corners in the images forming vertices of a bounded floor area on the floor surface. The processor can compute an adjusted floor area of the building that includes the bounded floor area subtracted from the gross floor area.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to precise position determination for the downhole placement and position of the tubing-side portion of a behind-casing measurement system. The position determination can be used to establish precise alignment of the system and thus prevent signal loss. A system according to some aspects includes a casing-side antenna mountable between a well casing and a formation wall and a processing device connected to the casing-side antenna. The processing device is operable to measure signal intensities for a signal received from at least one tubing-side antenna, calculate a position of the tubing-side antenna relative to the casing-side antenna based on the signal intensities, and transmit the position to the surface.
