Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for using multi-modal regression to predict customer intent to contact a merchant. Multi-modal data including numerical data and unstructured data are extracted from customer interactions with the merchant. Features of the numerical data and the unstructured data are separately extracted and classified using techniques specific to the data types. The features for each type are then separately used to predict probabilities of customer intent. A neural network is used to combine the predictions into a single set of estimates of customer intent. This set of estimates of customer intents is used to estimate a probability that the customer will contact the merchant. The customer is then contacted based on the estimate.

Abstract: A system for downhole measurements. The system may comprise a fiber optic cable that further comprises a transmission fiber and a return fiber. Additionally, the system may comprise a passive optical device optically connected to the transmission fiber and the return fiber, a first wavelength division multiplexer (WDM) optically connected to the transmission fiber, and a second WDM optically connected to the return fiber. The system may further comprise a transmitter and a first Raman pump optically connected to the first WDM and a receiver and a second Raman pump optically connected to the second WDM.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for cryptographic authentication to control access to storage devices. An applet executing on a processor of a contactless card may receive, via a wireless communications interface of the contactless card, a request to access a storage device of the contactless card, where the storage device is in a locked state. The applet may generate a cryptogram based on the request and transmit the cryptogram to a computing device via the wireless communications interface. The applet may receive, from the computing device, an indication specifying that a server decrypted the cryptogram. The applet may transmit, to a controller of the storage device and based on the indication specifying that the server decrypted the cryptogram, an indication specifying to unlock the storage device. The controller may transition the storage device from the locked state to an unlocked state based on the indication received from the applet.

Abstract: Described herein is a platform for providing a resource catalog local to an appliance device, such that the appliance device is able to generate a transaction related to one or more resources within the resource catalog. In some embodiments, the appliance device may receive resource information within streaming data. For example, the appliance device may receive an indication that a portion of streaming media data is related to a resource. Upon determining that a portion of streaming data is related to a resource, the appliance device may be configured to store the portion of data in relation to the identified resource. A user may retrieve and/or execute the portion of streaming data at a later date. In some embodiments, the user may request that a transaction be conducted with respect to the resource and a corresponding transaction request may be generated by the appliance device.

Abstract: Methods and systems are discussed for location-based guidance based on interior conditions at a plurality of locations. For example, the system may receive, from a user device of a user, a user request to access a first service. The system may retrieve a plurality of locations that provide the first service. The system may retrieve an average density for respective first queuing areas at each of the plurality of locations at a first time interval, wherein the respective first queuing areas correspond to respective portions at each of the plurality of locations reserved for queuing users for the first service. The system may determine whether the average density for the respective first queuing areas at each of the plurality of locations at the first time interval exceeds a threshold average density.

Abstract: A method and system for logging. The method may include disposing an acoustic logging tool into a wellbore, insonifing a pipe string within the wellbore with the acoustic logging tool, recording a plurality of flexural waves with the acoustic logging tool as one or more traces, and identifying a condition of a material behind the pipe string using the plurality of flexural waves. The acoustic logging tool may include one or more transmitters for insonifing a pipe string within a wellbore and one or more receivers configured to record a plurality of flexural waves. Additionally an information handling system may be configured to identify a condition of a material behind the pipe string using the plurality of flexural waves.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of providing an FAS finding (30) for the functionality of an anorexigenic signal path for a patient (1). Said method comprises the following steps: placing the patient (1) in a normalised preparation state in preparation for a normalised sample collection, providing a normalised sample matrix (10) collected from a patient (1) who was in the normalised preparation state, and determining at least one FAS indicator (11, 12, 13) from the normalised sample matrix (10), generating the FAS finding (30) based on the at least one determined FAS indicator (11, 12, 13).

Abstract: Data filtering and processing techniques for generating improved wellbore resistivity maps are contemplated. In some aspects, a process of the disclosed technology includes steps for receiving a plurality of measurement sets, wherein each measurement set includes electromagnetic field data associated with a geologic formation, performing an inversion on each of the plurality of measurement sets to generate a corresponding plurality of formation profiles, and applying a filter to each of the formation profiles to generate a plurality of profile clusters. In some aspects, the process can further include steps for selecting a representative cluster from among the profile clusters for use in generating a wellbore resistivity map. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

Abstract: Methods for treating subterranean formations by diverting treatment fluids therein are provided. In one embodiment, the methods comprise: introducing a first diverter material comprising polyvinyl alcohol and a plasticizer into or adjacent to a permeable zone of a subterranean formation; introducing a second diverter material into or adjacent to the permeable zone of the subterranean formation, wherein at least a portion of the first diverter material comprises particles larger than particles of the second diverter material; and allowing the first diverter material and the second diverter material to at least partially divert at least a portion of a treatment fluid to a different portion of the subterranean formation.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for generating dynamic conversational responses using two-tier machine learning models. The dynamic conversational responses may be generated in real time and reflect the likely goals and/or intents of a user. The two-tier machine learning model may include a first tier that determines an intent cluster based on a feature input, and a second tier that determines a specific intent from the cluster.

Abstract: A media distribution device receives media content including media items to be broadcast. the media items include common media items to be delivered to end users by each of multiple different media delivery devices. “Common” refers to the fact that the same media items are delivered by the media delivery devices, and does not mean “ordinary.” The common media items are processed into first chunks and second chunks. The sizes of the first chunks the second chunks are different, with the size of the first chunks determined based at least in part on a first media delivery schedule associated with a first media delivery device and the size of the second chunks determined based at least in part on a second media delivery schedule associated with a second media delivery device. The first chunks are transmitted to the first media delivery device, and the second chunks are delivered to the second media delivery device.

Abstract: The method, system, and non-transitory computer-readable medium embodiments described herein are directed to verifying identification documents. In various embodiments, a server may receive a first image of a front-side of an identification document. The server may extract a first feature of the front-side of the identification document from the first image using optical character recognition (OCR) and identify a first environmental feature from the first image. The server may receive a second image of a backside of the identification document and identify a second feature of the backside of the identification document from the second image. The server may also identify a second environmental feature from the second image. The server may verify the identification document by confirming that the first feature matches the second feature and the first environmental feature matches the second environmental feature.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for improvements for reducing client-server network traffic. For example, methods and systems allow for the reduction of client-server network traffic by altering search filters based on their respective rank and/or frequencies of being searched with other search filters included in a search query. In this way, users do not have to resubmit queries that are illogical or would return a null set of search results. For example, a first query may be received. A first search may be performed based on the first query. A first search filter may be selected based on a hierarchical tree structure of search filters. A second query may be generated comprising the first search filter and one or more other search filters, wherein the second query comprises fewer search filters than the first query, and a second search may be performed based on the second query.

Abstract: A computing system retrieves a credit check algorithm. The credit check algorithm utilizes one or more parameters for evaluation of a credit score of an individual. The computing system identifies a plurality of entities contributing parameters for the evaluation of the credit score of the individual. The computing system compiles the credit check algorithm into a plurality of components. Each component corresponds to a respective entity of the plurality of entities and each component generates an output unique to the respective entity. The computing system transmits each component to a respective entity of the plurality of entities. The computing system instructs each entity to share a respective output with each remaining entity. The computing system receives a credit score for the individual from each of the plurality of entities. Each credit score received from each entity is the same.

Abstract: A container for consumer goods includes a rigid outer box, an inner package, an inner frame and a pull tab. The outer box has a hinged lid configured to provide access to an inner volume of the outer box. The inner frame is paperboard having a pre-cut opening configured to provide access to an inner volume of the inner package. The pull tab covers the opening with a first adhesive that releasably adheres an edge portion of the pull tab to the inner frame and a second adhesive that permanently adheres the pull tab to the inner package and the outer box.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for secure communication between computing devices. A mobile device may communicate with an untrusted device to cause the untrusted device to send information (e.g., encrypted information that the untrusted device is unable to decrypt) to a server using an Internet connection of the untrusted device. The mobile device may have limited or no access to the Internet. To prevent potential security risks associated with using a public or untrusted device, the mobile device may encrypt information stored on the mobile device (e.g., stored in a mobile application associated with the server), send it to the untrusted device (e.g., by displaying a QR code to a camera of the untrusted device), and the untrusted device may send the information to the server via a network connection of the untrusted device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed assessing reliability between two computing devices. A distributed database may maintain reliability associations between pairs of computing devices. Each reliability association may indicate a particular device has determined (e.g., locally) that another device is reliable. In order to determine an amount of reliability between a first computing device and a second computing device, an ordered combination of the reliability associations may be determined utilizing the distributed database. The ordered combination of reliability associations may identify a reliability path between the first computing device and the second computing device. An amount of reliability may be determined based on the reliability path. An interaction between the devices may be allowed or restricted based at least in part on the amount of reliability between the computing devices.

Abstract: One embodiment of the invention is directed to a method comprising, receiving an authentication request message for a transaction. The method further comprises determining that detailed device information is required to authenticate the transaction and generating a message including an identifier and a request for the detailed device information. The method further comprises retrieving the detailed device information from a remote server computer using the identifier and modifying the authentication request message to include the detailed device information. The method further comprises sending the modified authentication request message to an access control server computer. The method further comprises receiving an authentication response message from the access control server computer including a verification value for the transaction, where the verification value is generated based on a result of a risk analysis performed using the detailed device information.
